They said in Barcelona that it will be released internationally in Q2
Looks like Rogers is getting the Cyan version of the Lumia 900 based on the new ROM that showed up....(Same version of the rom though)
Hmmm! Good find
Hmmm interesting! Does it ship with tango?

No same version of rom...as my post indicated Only Tango Rom showing up is the one from Finland but there is always a possibility that Rogers will wait until a firmware with all the fixes before making the cyan sku available which would me an updated firmware for all of us. Of course that's all speculation.

Ugh, I hope they release an update soon, getting agitated with purple screen, battery problems, phone lag, and a delayed touchscreen...

If this is infact true.. I will be a happy man. My AT&T cyan 900 has been collecting dust since the beginning of April due to no sim unlocking. Would love to ditch it for one I can actually unlock and use AND pick up down the street.
Hope this happens.
So, according to this article http://www.engadget.com/2012/06/15/nokia-june-18th-pureview-808/, a lot of people are speculating on the announcement for the Nokia PureView 808, but, there is something else... the US Code of the Lumia 900 is also RM-808 and since all other countries with the Lumia 900 are already shipping with the Tango Update, I'm thinking the US version is due to get the update next Monday 18. Another curious detail is that according to the 'Hint' on the Facebook page from Nokia showing a Map of Hawaii, the location of the 2nd destination is 'Lumiaina Street'. So since there are 2 destinations on the map, it could be that they are announcing 2 things, one of them been the Tango Update for the Lumia RM-808.
what you guys think?

I think Verizon may be getting its Lumia 900 on this date too..
But anyway, Tango is really a minor update with sms/mms improvement, lower memory footprint for apps , tethering.
The BIG annoucement is likely the Microsoft Tablet, but yes it could possibly be more phone models with latest OS.

I absolutely agree.
Also, if you look at the photos in the Nokia US facebook page, there is one picture which was posted on the same day as these other pictures, which shows that texting pictures on the Lumia 900 and that is a feature of Tango.
So, I think Tango should show up tomorrow.

No, Microsoft isn't building new features for Windows phone, so there's no reason to buy one in 2019. There are no new phones, and in the next year, Microsoft will abandon the platform altogether. If you must have one, however, we recommend the Alcatel Idol 4S, but you'd be much better off with a OnePlus 6T or iPhone XR.
Outdated and out of support: Alcatel Idol 4S ($127 at Amazon)
Super fast and customizable: OnePlus 6T (From $549 at Amazon)
Fluid and just works: iPhone XR (From $749 at Apple)
Most probably you are right.
We can't rely on MS or the developers to support WP any longer.
In case you are fine with a phone that can work for a while as it is (depending on certificates and app support for lower already installed versions) I guess hardware prices are becoming a steal soon.
Make sure you buy at least a phone that comes with Windows 10 pre-installed. I had to struggle with five phones to do an upgrade from WP8.1 to WP10, which was kind of a hell OTA. It started out that I could not log on to an existing microsoft account, neither could I create a new one from the phones in question. Had to do with a certificate issue, if I believe what I found.
So it was a two step approach needed. First each phone needs to be treated with the "Windows Device Recovery Tool" to have it reflashed.
After a restart, it was ready to go through the setup. Just skip where you can. No Wifi, no SIM, no account, just jump forward. When all is ready, the OTC Updater v8.2 needs to be executed.
The Update should start then...
.
To avoid getting stuck make sure your model is eligible for the update (Lumia phones only AFAIK). Here is the list I found on the web

Other phones require hacking tools. Search the forum for "windows phone offline update". Find instructions for the iutool here
If you want to do some hacking a good start would be here at Windows Phone Internals where you find tools to unlock and root WP for supported devices. Maybe you want to port native android if you are keen enough

I bought one in 2018
I got my first phone in 2018 when I was 18 years old and I chosed the Lumia 1020. Since then I'm using the Nokia Lumia 1020 as my primary phone. I wanted to experience Windows Phone, so I took this decission. With in the first week of my phone, I unlocked it's bootloader and installed Windows 10 Mobile. It did run windows 10 prety well. I felt those scarcity of apps, so this year I started practicing developing UWP apps using JavaScript and because of this, my javascript skills became good. So using this limited device is urging me and kinda motivating me to study technical things and being an I.T. student, it's surely gonna help me. Wanna see how far I have gone with js because of my Lumia? check this site out, which have almost 90% of codes in JavaScript .
Too late I got a 640 XL .
I just bought a new Idol 4s and I'm ok with it. Honnestly all the hype about Android and iOS race is just a bandwagon that sooner or later will fade
