These mods are for cm9 kang by winner00. As always, I'm not responsible for any issues incurred by my mods so do a nandroid backup if you haven't already. I will be trying to make metamorph themes so that you won't replace the SystemUI.apk and mess up the changes you may already have made.More mods to come, Happy Flashing! ;-)

If I flash this, will it over write the Blue keys mod that winner has in the op of his rom thread?
If so, would you consider combining winner's blue key mood with your battery % version?

It will overwrite the blue keys. It only takes a few seconds to flash the blue soft keys mod right after flashing the battery mod zip. ;-)
I'll make one in the next day or so, just let me know what battery style you like best. The bluesoftkey mod by winner will overwrite the battery mod.
It would be nice to have the battery beside with the reflections keys... seems like one overwrites the other and I can't get both working at the same time... Nice work, though!

freshly baked metamorph theme in op! It will only mod the softkeys.
I made some additional modifications to a couple of the status bar icons (alarm and battery icons) and the power toggles in the status bar. If anyone would like them, let me know and I'll post a flashable zip.
Please note that when I originally posted this, I was in a hurry and I omitted giving credit where it is due -- something I don't make a habit of and I certainly don't condone. I suck at creating images and none of these images are mine. Some of those images are akellar's, some were taken from a battery mod collection posted by mrvirginia, the reflections soft key images are from hxdrummerxc, and some of icons are from the internet or themes that go back to the OG Droid. All I did was put the images into SystemUI in a way that I find pleasing.

akellar, you're absolutely right and I hope you'll accept my apologies. I couldn't photoshop or create an image if my life depended on it, and I usually make it a practice state clearly that none of the images are mine and give credit where I can. Some of those images are yours, some were taken from a battery mod collection posted by mrvirginia, the reflections soft key images are from hxdrummerxc, and some of icons are from the internet or themes that go back to the OG Droid. All I did was put the images into SystemUI in a way that I find pleasing.

Here's the flashable zip file. Note that flashing this zip will modify your soft keys, pulldown notification toggles, and the alarm and battery icons on the status bar as shown in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21254342&postcount=12 (additional toggle icons, not shown, are also modified).

I am asking the same question in the android themes forum. And I have yet to get an answer there as well. When and if if ans when I find out I will repost here.
Typed on my CyanoSavaged SuperEvo.
Are you guys looking for a whole theme? or just the bar
You can do that in uot kitchen
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
You can do that in uot kitchen..
if you could send me your:
- SystemUI.apk
- framework-res.apk
Ill edit just your status bar, and the rest of your staus bar such as notifications, and set a transparency on them. 0-100% you could choose. I liked %40. Its better this way because then you can keep your current theme or watever you have going for you + the transparent title bar. If your using stock Androidan. I have a test you could try. Just reboot in recovery wipe cache and davlik cache, and flash this. Boot up select theme in Theme Chooser. Should be Called Transparent. Restart phone and hope changes take effect.
-- Side Note- Ive had several themes and i dont recall my status bar being transparent but the notifcation bar is.. with that said, i might have wasted my time and yours, but hey its a quick test, and will take only 20 seconds

nvm.......
In the UOT Kitchen under that statusbar mod you want to select Dr Droid for the top bar..
That one will give you a semi transparent top statusbar..its the closest thing I have found to what you want.
Hello people. I'm seeing alot of battery mod threads but if you want a little more customisation head over to the UOT kitchen and bake your own framework/system ui.
I did it yesterday and it worked perfectly. You just need clockwork recovery and your away.

I'm just putting this out there for people new to android or that don't know about the kitchen.
Its a great tool!
Enjoy!
Great heads up, i see ti now works with stock ROM's as well, wish they would add the CRT effect though.
this is a good website but unfortunately all that it changes for me is the battery icon and nothing else on status bar or notification area, i am confused whats up with it, its not just this its every theme i try to install does the same
well, the main prob with kitchen and our phones (S series and S2 too) is Touchwizz.
modifications via kitchen only affect framework-res.apk ;touchwizz needs modifications on twframework too.
knowing this, you can still use kitchen for :
-battery icons.
-notification icons
-glowing (at least for sliders bars and a part of the pop-up windows IF they aren't managed by twframework ).
haven't tried mods on status bars yet with my S2 but they were ok with my old galaxy S so it's probably the same.
P.S :
as always with themes, don't forget to wipe cache and dalvik cache after applying it viaCWM
hope it helps
Can someone provide me framework-res.apk and systemui.apk from stock KE7? Thanks.
How to submit it? I selected what I needed, uploaded framework-res.apk and systemui.apk but when I click Submit button nothing happens!
OK, I figured it out. But I can't select 'Transparent Status Bar' only, I don't want any modifications on status bar but just to make it Transparent! Maybe it's not allowed!

Hey all,
Just having an issue with UOT kitchen ever since I flashed to Lite'ning ROM 1.4 on KF1. Getting SHTF errors every time I try to cook files now, anyone else having this issue?
I created my first theme and it worked, however i lost the screen capture feature, does anyone know why?
Hi mendozinas,
Because i have changed my phone to GS S2(i9100) and would you please tell me this version UOT Kitchen whether support GS S2(i9100) + SpeedMod SGS2 [K1-T31 CWM4 CIFS ROOT] ?
Thanks!
I've cooked my battery icon for xxkg1 2.3.3 but i'm asking if is it possible to use the "SCB with %" (Version C, New charger for example) and hybrid charge animation.
Thanks!

Thank you directing us to the kithen. I have tried to use but seem to have an issue. When I select a mod, and click generate preview, it doesnt do it. It tries to generate it but then just times out. Anyone else had/having the same issue? Am I missing something or could it just be my internet?
Everything else works fine on my internet.

INCredible REVOlution - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=772973
ROM i use : Cognition S2 1.5.1
Main thing i want;
- I dont care bout other stuff, i just want the framework modified.
- the black bar MUST be the exact that kind of black! not the sense-kind of black.
- the framework icons/signals/etc, and please add the H+ icon too please!
- Thats all.

Actually, the fact that you consider it i actually appreciate it so much. i dont know why, but this theme really hard to pull themer's attention. this theme not good? hoho~~
but hey, of course, your call. i would have personally PM you at first, but it would be like taking advantage of you. so i posted here.
Thanks!
I like it too...maybe ill merge...whenni have time that is.....but yeah....will look at more screenshots and if i like it i can adopt it
I can take a look. I have already ported this for Luca's FroyoMod rom for the milestone.

thanks guys for considering!
The theme looks awesome. A port will be highly appreciated to cog rom.
Well, I have a problem here.....download links from original thread are down, and in neither one of your downloads provided at this thread SystemUI.apk is there.....
you dont want framework-res.apk themed only, what u refer as icons on status bar, some of them are on systemui.apk
I am not familiar with this theme...maybe providing links to download a themed systemui.apk will be helpful?
thanks.
I will have to replace the battery icons in the theme. I cannot use the ones in the Leedroid one because they have only battery icons for stock %'s while Cog has 1% icons. I will use the revolution battery icons from UOT kitchen recoloured and resized.
Rest seem to be ok. I will send you a pm with the link when done. You need to test it for me.

All buttons have been redone, H+ / 4G / Wimax in revolution style. Notification buttons are the same. The green goes well with the theme. Background is changed.
I will give you 2 variants. One with stock revolution battery icons ( only 0,10,20,40,60,80 and 100 ) and one with 1% battery icons.
You should get it in a couple of hours. I am at work now.
In the meantime, if you want to look at the icons, download the apk from the link below, extract the /Res/drawable-hdpi folder and have a look at the icons.

Update: 3/13/13 More thanks go out to the people that were able to get this done. I was able to get a flashable zip with more of bleached45's images working.
I know many people (including myself) are missing the black status bar mod from ICS. After a collaborating with other people I was able to figure something out.
By the way you don't need my permission to do anything with this zip (haha). All I ask is that you please thank me (always wanted to be thanked) and give me any critical advice to theming you have (trying to learn the right way).
To Install: (You must be on ZVB Deodexed to use!)
1.Flash the attached zip
2.Wipe cache and dalvik
3.Reboot
3.Win MVP
I'm responsible for nothing that happens to your phone (always wanted to say that). If your qualcomm enhanced location service force closes, Wipe your cache between the reboot. Otherwise just go to settings/wireless networks/more.../mobile networks/connections optimizer. Accept the terms and uncheck the box. The service is annoying anyway.
Issues:
The edit quick toggle button looks kind of weird :-/
There is a very small line inbetween the quick toggles and the date bar
Thank These People!
AdriVelasquez for the Deodexed Rom
B-Reezy for our original LG port of the black mod
bleached45 - Original theme creater and source of the files, and the flashable zip base
Lrod0175 - Provided the status bar with the cool blue bottom and was very helpful with feedback
pcrhckyman - Pointed me in the right direction for source of files
Kobe Bryant - For having the heart of a champion
Re: [MOD][JellyBean] Black Status Bar (Work-In-Progress)
Cool, I thanked you by the way
Edit: the reason you have the white edges is because that's a .9 image and you cannot color the whole image, you have to color the image inside the dots or lines in the edges, those are the ones that allow the image to stretch. You also need to decompile the app to see the points and lines of the .9 images other wise they will show as a regular PNG.

Hey, I have a JB version out for the ATT variant, I believe you can get the files out of my mod and copy them into yours.
I would offer more help but have class in a few minutes and don't have my computer.
I recompiled the .9.pngs and I believe the file names are the same.
What the files are called I don't remember off the top of my head.
Just copy/paste any pure black images from my mod and the bottom slider (the two pngs with the 3 horizontal bars) and the quick settings edit buttons.
It is mostly just eyeballing what file looks like what part of the UI.
I can't promise it will work, but it should.
HERE is my thread. All 4 JB versions have the same image files, so it shouldn't matter which one you grab.

Thank you for everything. I used your indi_noti_btn_edit_normal.9 and indi_noti_btn_edit_pressed.9 files in drawable-xhdpi and it appears they are not stretched the same for our phones. I attached a screen. I'm reading how to edit .9 pngs but I haven't had any luck. If you could drop a few words of wisdom I would appreciate it. Specifically, I see the original dots of the png. I'm assuming I erase those in the photo editor and resize the image, then use draw9patch and put new dots in the same place? And if I see a black border on the side of the grey image, can I assume they stretched the entire side of the png? Thanks for everything and sorry to take your time from school, I'm in school as well.

Good luck! Start with simple stuff, like changing status bar icons and go from there.
I would love to see a Black Status Bar similar to the one b-reezy posted for ICS or the other JB Status Bar but without the changed icons.

Thanks! Is the main stuff I should be worried about in the drawable-xhdpi folder I'm guessing?
Actually it doesn't look like the apk decompiled right. Anybody have any tips on apktool? followed the directions with the LG framework but it's still spitting out errors.

Yes, that's correct, shoot me a pm if you hit a wall. If u want download my OptimusBlueBlend theme and decompile the systemUI, compare it to yours, that way you'll see the themed images, then you can start with yours, by the way u can use mine if you wanna add a full battery set from 1 to 100.

Try apkmultitoolhttp://apkmultitool.com/ I've been using it a long time now and it has worked good, make sure u install android 4.1.2 framework-res.apk, you can also use your phone framework, you can do it from the set up script, it will pull your phone frameworks for u.

I did this for myself last week, even decompiled the apk to look into changing the teal/grey to ICS. Never got around to that, though.
And since no one has posted an apk yet... here you go. First post, too, heh

it looks awesome. Do you mind if I put it in a flashable zip and put it in the OP? I will of course credit you.
edit: My statusbar disappeared. I'm going to try again to make sure.
edit2: Just tried again, no statusbar. I'm wondering what others mileage is

bt i also want them in my galaxy s2
i searched a little bit .... biftor rom has this option....
bt i wish if sm 1 could make a mod for it

You could try to ask on neatrom thread, there are a lot good moders there.
I will from my side have a look in bitfor. It must not be very complicated to achieve.
Flash biftor rom

Kind of radical IMHO...
BTW, i just googled your request, and there are plenty of guide here on xda to do it. It is just one line to change in the statubar expanded xml in systemui.
If you are a little aventurous and curious you could do it yourself.
I 'm gonna try on monday on my rom.
Edit: on sammy rom, it seems that some smali mod are involved too.
Gonna try the first way, but i won't mess the smali code as it would break my theme.
actually i dont even knw abt codes....xml...editing... and all this stuff ....

I will try tomorrow. The way i will do it, if i am successfull, will be portable for you without coding.
In the meantime, look for xtheme engine thread. It is how i will try to do it.

Someone answered you on Neat thread (sometimes it can take time)
Here is the link to download the mod
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38318908&postcount=33885
It is for MS1 but should work on any post LSD rom too.
I highly encourage you to make a nandroid backup first though.
Cheers

omega rom

II checked the mod. There are a lot of differences in the systemui from that mod and the systemui from last neatrom. It could work on last neat but could also break other things, so i don't think it is a good idea to flash it other last neat.
And fot sure it won't work on Omega.
I am still trying to create a xposed theme for this.
For now i can compile it without errors but get FCs.
Two explanations : it isn't compatible with the theme i use (jb reloaded) as it involves lidroid, or the xtheme engine is "too much" limited for that kind of mods.
Tomorrow i will know.
EDIT: well i removed my theme and it works! The brightness bar is still on the upper part (but i think it is better, even removing it would be even better ) and i have to check the height of the quick panel...
Send me your systemui.apk, i will have a look to see if i can build one for you or switch to neatrom...
And if you could send me your systemui from your GS3 i could check how they did to have the glow effect when the panel reach the left or right of the screen as i don't have it right now.

Ok, let's see:
My mod is a complete mod that adds sense style manager to the ROM, also has transparency included in settings, removed brightness bar from dropdown menu (don't know why you say it's still there?) and send the toggles to the bottom of the dropdown bar. Also, I have removed notifications and ongoing title to get more room in the dropdown, got rid of letters and separator on toggles.
It won't work with other mods specially if that other mod has lidroid (23 toggles included) it can be applied to latest NeatROM 4.7 and it won't break anything, you can ask me about what I've done that I don't have problems helping people.
here is the attachments
hope u can do smthing
both have stock toggles
my s2 system ui also have stock toggles not that 23 toggles preloaded with omega rom

Hi Churapa,
Thanks for your answer, but there's a little misunderstanding here : I am not the OP, i just try to help by creating a xposed xtheme theme. I just pointed him on your mod as he gets an answer in NeatRom thread.
So my comments in the previous post was for my mod which only try to move the quick panel at the borrom - i don't touch the brightness bar code.
But concerning your mod, it looks like a complete replacement of sytemUI isn't it ? It doesn't seems to be a Vrtheme.
When i tried to decompile it, Apktool throw me a lot of errors but i could at least have a look at your moded tw_status_bar_expanded.xml. I just compared it with the original tw_status_bar_expanded from Neat 4.6.1 and (except the mod itself), the two xml diverge in some parts : it is why i said it could work, but could also break something (i didn't try it though).
Just a question : do you think it could be easy to make it works when using lidroid ?
Thanks again

I had a look at your systemUI. OMEGA is AOKP, but the touchwiz xml controlling the Quick Panel are implemented. I don't know if on your ROM they control the actual quicksetting, but we could try. If it doesn't work, well it will just FCs at worst.
So if you want to try my mod (not perfect yet, but at least we could see if it works for you), you will have to install Xposed Installer and the module which handle the theming : Xtheme Engine.
It's easy and safe, so no worries + you won't have to flash my mod : it will comes on top of your systemui.apk : so if it doesn't work, you just have to unload it and you will retrieve your original systemui.
Download and install Xposed Installer (it's an APK so don't flash this, just install):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1957219&d=1368387321
And copy the flashable Disabler zip at the root of your internal sdcard : It will allow you to disable The Framework trough recovery if something goes wrong :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1619566&d=1361912360
Now download the Xtheme module and install it (it's an APK so don't flash this, just install) :
https://www.dropbox.com/s/3ciz2clswmxa6i7/XThemeEngine_beta5.apk
Finally download and Install my theme in attachement (it's an APK so don't flash this, just install)
INSTRUCTIONS :
Install Xposed Framework (from the Xposed Installer app - just launch it and click on the relevant button)
Activate the Xtheme module in Xposed Installer app (in the module tab)
Choose sampletheme in the list, click apply then softreboot
Report if it works ! (in case of problems you can flash the disabler trough recovery)
Cheers
EDIT: my mod will also turn your clock blue and change your battery icons, but if it works i can remove those parts.
EDIT2 : I have replaced the attachement by a new one : this one works perfectly, it has the glow effect and the brightness bar on top of it.
