I've searched around a bit but could not find an answer do I apologize if it has been answered already but it seems like when I use multi touch a game or something it will not work while my thumb is in the bottom right corner in landscape. This is only while doing multi touch though. Another quick question out of curiosity, it seems that lg charger don't really play nice with this phone. The 2 I have tried didn't work so I was just wondering if someone else could try this. I am unrooted and have the lte version. Thanks for the help.

This is a known issue. You will have to wait for some one more knowledge to better explain it though
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
i can't explain it, but it is a bug and your not alone.
quick fix is to press power to shut off the screen, then turn it back on. I've done this in cordy about a dozen times now and it works perfectly.

Does anyone else's lock screen lag really bad sometimes?
Sometimes it will work fine but sometimes it could lag horribly.
I can slide to unlock and then it will actually slide a second or two later, and the animation when it brings up the home screen is really choppy.
I keep thinking of doing a factory reset to see if it solves it but o don't want to lose everything if it doesn't work.

Got auto screen brightness ON?
Cause when you lock ur screen in full light condition and unlock when in dark light condition (and vice versa), the lag you describe happens.

I have been wishing for a remote to control my phone while it is tucked away in my console and connected to my stereo. I know there are head units that have this built in but my system is factory and I am not looking to replace it. So in searching I ran across this product and ordered it today. It is mainly for Apple but reports say it works on many android devices, though I didn't find the GS2 meantioned specifically. Once I get it in and test it out I will report back my findings in case anyone else is interested.

Interested!
Ok it finally showed up today. It took a lot longer than I expected to get here but it was well worth the wait. All I can say is wow. This thing is fantastic. Works better than I exprected.
The remote is small and light. Would prefer a more solid feel to it but it is great for what it is. It has a dedicated on and off button. It paired to my phone in about 10 seconds, didn't even pull the instructions out . I put my phone inside my desk drawer to test. It is a solid wooden contruction. Pushing play starts your default music player automatically. I could play, pause, previous track, next track, volume up, volume down and mute. The camera button also works. You can open the camera app and take pictures with the remote. While you aren't listening to music the volume buttons control the ringer volume. And if you press and hold the play button it will launch svoice (if installed). So while my phone is in the car I can open pandora, play music or whatever without touching the phone. It has a keyboard button which doesn't seem to do anything, on this phone at least. It also has a home button which if long pressed opens the task manager. While the phone was in my desk I walked to the kitchen and was still able to use the remote. This is about 15 feet from my desk. After that I walked to the front of the office, which is on the other side of the kitchen at about 25 feet and it still worked.
The only downsides I could find are that it connects as a bluetooth keyboard which causes a slight problem. When it connects it sets the samsung keyboard as default and then the samsung keyboard keeps crashing until you go into settings and make swype or whatever else the default keyboard. After that it works perfectly. This may impact other keyboard apps also. Not sure as I only use swype. To me this is a minor issue as the purpose is to not be using the phone while the remote is connected. Plus there may be a work around like uninstalling the samsung keyboard. The only other issue, also minor, is that the battery cover is extremely hard to get off. Good thing the batteries are supposed to last for months. This, of course, remains to be seen since I just got it.
Even with the minor problems I still give this remote a solid 5 stars as it does exactly what I wanted it to do and exceeded my expectations. Also I am testing this on Team Rejectz FF18 Universe 1.4. I will perform a EL29 test and stock FF18 test at a later point and see if it works the same.
oh s*** didn't know it had a built in keyboard till I re checked the Amazon pics. I see you said the button doesn't work but does does the keyboard work at all?

No it isn't really a keyboard. It only has numbers for entering the pin on Bluetooth connection. Not sure what the keyboard button is for yet.

If you find something else let me know please.
OK I tested out EL29 and FF18 stock and here are my findings.
EL29 - Did not work. The only buttons that would work are the volume buttons. None of the other buttons worked. I was using Calks stock deodexed rom. Did not care to test any other roms.
Stock FF18 - Worked even better. It did not have the keyboard crashing that I experienced on Universe 1.4. It still made the Samsung keyboard default but it worked with no errors or force closing. Which makes it much nicer to use. The camera button only controls zoom because the volume rocker does zoom by defualt. Replace the camera app with a modded one that takes pictures with the volume rocker and problem solved. You don't have the ability to control apps by voice since svoice isn't installed. May be able to work around this but haven't tried anything else. Also the keyboard does not switch back to your default after disconnecting the remote. It stays on the Samsung Keyboard and you have to manually switch it.
Fixes: Ok I pulled the camera app from Universe and put it on the stock Deodexed rom to fix the camera issue. I installed SVoice from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1668824&highlight=svoice and now I can access that from the remote by long pressing play/pause. Now if I can figure out how to get the S3 Samsung Keyboard on the S2 I will be set.
Note: You can't pair multiple devices at the same time. It is one at a time. If you change the pairing to device 2 you have to delete it on device1 and repair it again if you want to use it again on device1.

Let me know how that works. I prefer the remote I have for its size and usability in the car but that would be a good keyboard to have for a tablet or the phone in a pinch.

I prefer the remote as well but I'm hoping this could be used just as easily but if not I can just go ahead and get an actual remote later and still have what I hope to be a good keyboard since its only 10$ it's not to bad I guess.

Forgot to mention that removing the samsung keyboard fixed the keyboard issues for me. I have swype and ICS keyboard installed. I use Swype by default and it stays default after removing the samsung keyboard.

I have one of those keyboards. It works pretty well and $10 is a good price (I think mine was $28 at Best Buy). I haven't tried using it as a remote however, so I can't comment on that functionality.
Well I finally got it today and it worked as a keyboard for about 5 minutes till I got curious and pressed the ime button now it just does shortcuts no keyboard, but as a remote this thing is perfect especially for 10$, it has the very occasional lag when changing modes it will alive freeze up, but it's only happened once so far and I haven't been able to repeat it. The software included is useless though.

Hi all, my mom recently bought the captivate glide. (it is a rogers one, i927r is the model number... & the rogers boot animation is a giveaway lol)
Anyways, it's unlocked, stock, not rooted & she's using it on straight talk at&t.
Here's the issue: the auto-rotation is shoddy/a little over zealous.
Even if the phone is upright, if she/I goes in the messaging app, or any other app, or menu, the screen auto rotates into landscape mode. The only way to fix the issue is to take the auto-rotate option all the way off... which sucks because l obviously she needs it for other things.
I come from a gnex & don't really know much about this device. I thought it would be a good crossover phone for her as this is her first smart phone.
Please, any help/insight is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I too have noticed the rotate to be at times over zealous. The way that I worked around it is to disable the auto rotate and when I need it to rotate simply open the keyboard tray as that will still rotate the screen even if the auto rotate is disabled. I know it is not the solution you are looking for but just letting you know what worked for me. I see you did mention not wanting to turn off auto rotate but the way I do it you have a work around. Good luck

I'm not sure if we are talking the same issue but 2 or 3 times the rotation seems to get 90 or 180 degrees off. Turning off auto rotate worked around it until I could reboot which made it go away. I've had the phone for 9 months and it hasn't happened in a long time.

I'm not positive it's the same issue or not. I helped my mom move from Verizon to prepaid at&t (straight talk). Purchased a brand new captivate glide. If the phone is upright (portrait) & I open the messaging app or settings/anything... the phone will go into landscape, no reason at all. Takes a lot to have it rotate back to portrait & when it finally does, it spazzes out & rotates back into landscape, again for no apparent reason. It's stock, not rooted, on 2.3.6.
I've had a lot of android phones & none have ever done this. Again, any help/insight is appreciated. Thanks.

Hello. Just picked up a used GNex off Craigslist. My old Nexus broke and after 2 weeks wn old Dith aroid 2 Global that someone let me use, I had to get a GNex back. It came rooted with CM 10.1. However, once I got home and started messing around with it (flashed AOKP and installed TWRP) I noticed that there was a shadow/outline (not really sure how to describe it) of the keyboard on the screen at all times. It's not the worst thing in the world, but it is pretty annoying (especially on pages with white backgrounds.) I'm pretty sure I did nothing to cause this but does anyone have any idea what is going on/how to fix this?
Sidenote: I just realized that the keyboard outline is not "on the picture" if you will. I took a screenshot, looked at it on my computer and the keyboard outline was not on the picture. Not sure what this means/if it helps.
I've tried to take a picture of my phone but they keyboard outline is too faint to pick up.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Your new galaxy nexus is suffering from severe burn in. Remember on amoled screens, stuff displaying on the screen sort of burns the picture into the screen. Download screen diagnostic from the play store. Take a snapshot of the screen with the keyboard open. Then load the snap shot in screen diagnostic. Leave it there for a bit and it should fix the burn in.

i have a same probem on mys6.. How Iturn it on negative?
Anyone else getting many touches for one touch? For instance if I type "STUPID", I may end up with "STUUUPIIDDD". It's not quite that excessive, but wanted to get the point across. One touch results in multiple letters/clicks every now and then.
Think this is a hardware issue, or something they may be able to tweak with an update?
How 'bout you?

Oh, it's hella-bothersome. Could be worse if it did it more, but it's still far too much for a "flagship" device.
i bet it's a 4.3 issue or something they overlooked..i remember when there were touch issues back on 4.1 i think ti was...remember on the Gnex, when after you'd touch recent apps, touch sensitivty would drop like crazy and you'd have to shut the screen off and turn it back on?
probably something stupid like that lol

I'm all updated, still seeing it. Not a lot, but enough to be irritating.
I'm having this problem as well. Just got my nexus about 2 hours ago and trying to set it up I'm seeing that long presses are sometimes hard to perform and sometimes scrolling lists will perform a button click on items when I was in the middle of a swipe gesture. I'm also seeing the keyboard issue. I thought it might be a stock keyboard problem but switched it out to thumb keyboard and I'm having the same issue.
My device forced an update right after I turned it on. It connected to wifi and then rebooted, ran the update, then restarted and had to go through the wizard again. Got into the OS and it said there was another system update. Checked version and it was 4.3 but did the update again. Still 4.3 after update. Was strange.
This keyboard issue is annoying enough that I'm thinking about RMA already. The device is pretty amazing other than that
Haven't seen that yet, but I'm using the latest phone version of SwiftKey.
Edit: I'm on JSS15J

I think its just that the screen is super sensitive. I am finding it very difficult to type without having these issues. However I am getting used to it, so my typing is getting better and faster.
I bet in a month or so once you fully "learn" the response of the tablet you won't have these issues anymore.
