[Q] Can't revert back to stock ROM: Battery level too low - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have an annoying problem. Im currently runnin Supernova ROM, which has proven to be as unstable as early AMD CPUs and I have been trying to get to the original rom running the RUUxxx.exe. Problem is that the RUU flasher refuses to work because it things the battery level is below 30% (which actually is 90%). I have tried pretty much everything from wiping the battery stats and installing another rom after which I tried to install stock rom. It's a no go.
Anyone got any ideas how to go back to stock? Or do I just need to flash some other 'stock' rom made by a forum member?
P.S. I have tried with another battery as well.

Have you tried a Battery Calibration.

try battery caliberation.

serious battery drain issues, cant find answers

hey guys,
i have looked everywhere, especially here, and couldn't find a solution.
i have recently upgraded to LeeDroid, and since then i am experiencing battery drain issues. here is the list of the things i tried:
re flashed after complete WIPE (with the .zip file)
re flashed after complete WIPE without restoring from backup
calibrated the battery
worked with current widget - keep seeing 40mA and above even during the night ?!?
worked with Spare Parts - keep getting FC when trying to view battery information
i have the matching Radio and RIL!
when i check the battery usage in the settings menu, i see that phone calls are just behund display
try to change the network type from WCDMA prefered to GSM/CDMA (PRL) kept getting 3G but no improvement on battery life
'where is my droid power' shows the phone at the top with 7.19% sometines its HTC Sense with ~5%
please please tell me what i need to do? i find it hard to believe that a custom ROM takes more battery then the stock ROM, i mean - whats the point?!?
highly appreciate it!!
Roy.
Is this battery drain showing even before restoring your apps (or any data)? If so, try a different rom but it's possible the battery is on it's way out.
well, to be honest i haven't tried flashing and installing the apps one one of thats what you mean...
battery out? meaning dying? i bought the damn thing brand new 2 months ago, when i was on stock Froyo - was perfect...
p.s. i havent restored the apps from backup - manually installed one by one...
Install the rom and don't install any apps, and see what your drain is like. If it's fine, install apps one by one and see if any problems arrive.
If straight away the battery is bad try some different roms (with the correct radio - very important) and try a stock (but rooted) rom.
If it was fine on froyo and has only arisen since installing a custom rom the battery itself is probably fine then.
yeah i guess that the only way to be sure... to install one by one...
ok man, thanks a lot!!! i was also wondering if there is an app i havent tried yet that maybe can pinpoint me to the source of the problem...

[Q] ViperX 2.7.1 Battery Drain

Hi,
since i installed the ViperX Rom a couple of days ago, my battery drains pretty quick when it is in use. The screen and the back of the phone also get pretty hot after some time. Any clues as of why that is?
I would use the newer Jellybean Rom, but because of my phones H3G cid i can't use it, correct?
Thanks for help
Its not the cid that is important , the hboot number has to match, but afaik H3G has not rolled out the JB yet, and there is no unofficial firmware for your cid so yes in that case you are stuck on ICS roms !
But you ha e problems with viper X ICS, did you try another rom t check if its software related or that its just coincidence that leads to a faulty battery ?!
The problem didn't occur when I was on the stock rom (either rootet or not) for a few weeks. But no, I haven't tried any other custom rom until now.
I had great batt life with stock kernel on viper X , also with ncx kernel. You could try a different kernel. Also install better batt stats from the playstore. It shows you what's eating the batt
Ok thx, i'll try that and report back later. I'll probably try wiping the phone and flashing the rom again too.

[Q] [Help] Random Reboots

Hi, I've been suffering some random reboots (about 3 per battery cycle) and after every reboot battery goes down drastically. I've changed the ROM and kernel and it still happens. I attach a photo of the battery life (you can see when the 3 reboots happened in the interruptions of the graphic) and a catlog (it's my first catlog so I'm not sure what to do). If you need any more info or the previous part of the log just tell me and I'll provide it.
Mine is a GSM gNEx and now I'm on Rootbox ROM (31/01/13 version) with ak 670.42 dummy kernel but as I said, it also happened in CM 10.1, AOKP, PA and with ak purity, leankernel and franco kernel.
Thanks in advance and sorry for my english.
it could very well be the phone itself. i had something similar happen on my toroplus and havent had the problem since i replaced it.
It could be your chip, but let's look at a couple of things first.
1) Are you dirty flashing by any chance?
2) Have you gone 100% stock and see if it happens there?
Nope, I haven't tried 100% stock, will try tomorrow (after doing my last exam of my degree). Also I've just had a reboot at 82% battery and the first one yesterday was at 82-81%. Is it a coincidence or can it be a hint? Maybe it's the battery...
Also I've been doing a full wipe between ROMS, no dirty flashing except for upgrades on the same ROM (just upgraded rootbox to latest JOP40G)

Well I would do 100% stock boot, recovery, ROM etc... and see what it does.
I doubt it's your battery.
My random reboots stopped after I stopped flashing custom kernels. Try a clean install and keep the kernel that came with the ROM and see if you still get them.
Thanks, then tomorrow I'll try going back to stock ROM + kernel and see if it gets solved, if not I'll try with full stock.

Battery State Showing always 100% after flushng LegacyXperia CM11

Dear All,
I am having Xperia Pro MK16i
I am having problem in battery percentage output shown by android system, after flushing custom kernal which is supplied with legacyXPERIA CM11 rom (no issue at this time) and than I return back to stock ICS kernal, the battery is showing always 100%. Even if I connect charger it shows me charged.
Before flushing legacyXPERIA CM11 kernal, I have tired so many different custom kernal but, I like CM10, 10.1, NaA 3.4.0 kernal and return back to stock ICS, I was not having this issue any time.
For recovery of this issue I have tried to flush again the legacyXPERIA CM11 kernal (it will show the correct battery percentage) and get back to stock ICS will agnain show battery 100%. Than I tried to flush jush my backuped stock GB rom (it will show the correct battery percentage) and get back to stock ICS will show correct battery percentage.
Also the important thing it that, I found that this problem is happening every time i remove the battery.
If any one can help me, please give your suggestions what to do.
Thanks in advance

Battery issues

Hello, I've switched ROMs from lollipop back to KK ROM. Its not stock, its cm 11. 4.4.4. I flashed the madmack modem. But my battery life has still been horrible since leaving lollipop. Is there anything I can do to get it like it used to be?
What is used to be like? What ROM were you using? It is recommended to flash into custom ROM while begin with the stock jb ROM, if you want the best battery life.
Go to apps from.the settings and from there see what applications are running and try to close (force stop) every application that u dont need and i think it will solve ur issue
Or just install an app like greenify. I'm with you on the battery issue. Even though my service is getting the deep sleep, I'm still need to swap a new battery every 3 - 4 hours, and that's with normal use, keep the screen on most of time. I think it's just our phone, the 5.5" HD screen just ducks up all the juice.

Check with some battery stats software, but it's 101% problem with SystemServiceUpdate. KK CM11 isn't patched for that.
If that appears to be the problem, go to privacy manager and disable wakeup for Google Play Services and Google Play Framework/Google Services Framework, reboot your phone and wait.
