Seidio Surface Designed for LTE Extended Battery - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Seidio just posted this, which I think is an answer to many prayers!
http://www.seidioonline.com/samsung-galaxy-nexus-surface-case-black-p/csr2ssgnlx-bk.htm
They make pretty great products and having a thin hard case on my extended battery is exactly what I wanted.
Thought I would share!

I was happy until I read this :
*Note: Case does not expose 3-pin connector and is not guaranteed to be compatible with any other manufacturer's products unless otherwise stated
WHYYYYYYY!

Well it's not like it would fit into the 3-pin car dock with this on it anyways

But this gets rid of any hope I had of any dock. Even a Seidio dock would of been nice. I do not like to cover up features that are on the phone with a case.

ok good thing I waited. This will likely be the case I order. sooner better be real soon though

looks too thick, just get a pouch and go naked

Excellent cheap sync cradle for the T-989

I got 2 of these off eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-SAMSUNG...159056?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3f0f089010
They are meant for the "standard" (AT&T or International) GS2's but it fits my new T-989 perfectly even with the DIZTRONIC TPU case on it. It probably fits most any device with a bottom micro-usb port on it. It comes with a removable rubber adapter for smaller devices. Not bad for $11 from China. Got it in about 10 days. It's a knockoff of the iPhone Universal base. No audio out ports. Just sync/charge.
i purchased the Original from Samsung only $40, and it comes with extra 1850 mAh original battery with NFC

Any pictures? How long did it take for you to receive it?

Ok, but that is $29 more than $11 and most people don't need a $29 battery and NFC is useless for the most part. Plus it doesn't work with a case. Other than that, GOOD DEAL!!

Can you post pics of your T-989 w/ TPU case in the dock?
Do you know if the USB transmits audio and if it has a back 3.55mm jack?
I ordered two of the Sinjimoru Sync stands. They're cool looking and lightweight. I removed the two lock tabs on the cable that make the cable stick in tighter. I'm planning on mounting them to something that won't lift up easily when I try to remove the phone. Overall, worth the $22.
Sinjimoru Sync & Charge Dock
Looks awesome but does it tip over easily? looks unstable

The stand you are linking to doesn't charge or sync. That stand is just a holder with no connection directly to the phone. 2 totally different things with totally different purposes.

It fits my T989 with the Diztronics case no problem and will fit any similar "thinness" case. Snug, but no problem. I looked at the D30 case the other day and put them up against each other and while the left to right size are identical the front to back on the D30 is a bit more and my guess is it wouldn't fit. I was surprised when my Diztronic case fit but it did NOT need to be forced, just a slight push. For $11 you really can't go too wrong.

thanks I ordered one
They are still tight on the base, and would tip over if you pushed them. They're fairly stable, but it is kind of a pain to use one hand to hold the base grab the phone.
I did fix that today. I went out into the alley behind the loft and grabbed a brick. A few minutes after meeting the dremel and a little bit of epoxy, they're stable.
http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6233/6366960059_565143ef63_b.jpg
That's what the stands look like mounted to the brick, and in the Body Glove Diamond cases. I did play a little with some LEDs and lighting the bases up, since they're clear/black acrylic and the light travels through them. I'm going to hold off on that for now, but maybe soon.
to choking am a bit confuse on ur pic is that just a stand whit out the option of charging or a stand whit charger?
There is a cable that comes up behind the stand, and snaps into the stand. It charges, and I bet you could use the stand for other phones, but I can't guarantee that. I know it works fine with the T989.
Well thx for ur response ill see if i get my hands on one this on up coming week

ringke stuff looks very nice... i wish they had a kickstand option... i really like my VZW kickstand holster but do not like that the corners are not protected.
I had a Rearth RingKe case on my Nexus S. They're similar to silicone cases but tougher, but weaker than tpu cases so they moved around alot especially if you put the phone in a pocket. Guess that's the trade-off for making them "the slimmest of them all".

Umm, the Ringke Slim isn't the same kind of case as their silicone case. It's like a barely there case with the top and bottom all covered.
I wonder if they fit/make a version that fits the lte extended battery?

Hi,
Our design team made the case to fit both the GSM/LTE version of the Galaxy Nexus phone. They made sure to take into consideration the .5mm difference between those 2 device. Our case will fit these 2 device very snugly.

Thanks KrazyMonkey, that help me out.
Yea I talked to the same guy (the only guy?) and he said the same thing to me. That the case will fit both versions, but not with the extended battery.
Also if you look at the actual pictures, it shows the inward curvature for the standard cover. It appears they would have to make a separate case entirely just for the extended battery cover... which probably wouldn't be very profitable.
I know some people use the standard battery cover with the extended battery. I'd be interested in testing to see if this case would fit in this setup. Or since the case covers the entire back, what about going backless on the battery door?
Rearthe are the only silicon type cases I would ever buy. For some reason they feel really good in the hand.
looks really nice. i might jump on a black one. wish they made a matte version to help with grip instead of the high gloss.
They do make a matte case, and it looks awesome:

perfect. thanks
I liked the Black Matte and the White, personally.
I like my cases to be a different color then the phone itself to prevent people from saying, "wow thats a brick". I try to make it obvious thus not to fool the sheep.
Mmh, would totally sport the white one if it fits the extended.
wish the slim had a kickstand

Case mate pop case review

Hello, I have been searching for a while for the best case and purchased several cases, and I think for me, the pop case is the best of all. (I have some TPU cases from amazon, case mate tough case, and pop case ( I wanted to try the otterbox, but after using the pop case I am going to just use this case)
Picture qualities are pretty bad, but it gives pretty good idea how it looks life overall. I have a white one, and it really makes my Gnex much more fancy and its really rugged with dual protection, so no worries about dropping the phone. All the buttons works perfectly all ports are working great as well.
Does it add much bulk? I'm looking to get it.

Does the USB cable that comes stock still fit with this case on? Reviews on Amazon say it doesn't.
also interested if the usb cable fits.
thanks

I wonder if it works with the exttended battery?? Looks good
Yes it does fit very well with the extended battery. USB charger is not an issue if you have one that fits. Looks like Casemate removed the Pop and Tough case from their website. Could it be because they are looking into these issues?

Dang right when we get confirmation that it fits with the extended battery they take it off the website? DOH!

Please and thank you
sorry mine is GSM and have no extended battery.
You can find them on eBay in Black, White and Pink. $28 and free shipping. Just search "galaxy case-mate pop!". I ordered the Black but it hasn't arrived.
My Case Mate Pop case is arriving today as well, if you are looking to buy it for $16! check this company out shipping is dirt cheap as well from them. http://www.thecellguru.com/Phones/Samsung/Galaxy_Nexus/Cases
I got the black one, great fit, great protection, great case. Bit of a bugger to get off in a rush though !
How is it pressing the power button and the volume rocker is it easy or do you really have to press it in to get the effect?
Easy peasy to press power and / or volume buttons. I sent back a case mate tough as I couldn't activate the buttons freely enough, the case mate pop is much much better, just a bit of a pain to get off
I just got my white pop case today. I am using it with the extended battery on the verizon cdma version. The case is amazing! Great protection, doesn't add much bulk, buttons work great, fits perfect with the extended battery, adds extra grippyness. Highly recommend. I got mine on ebay as well.
I can verify that the STOCK cable for the VERIZON GNEX does NOT fit the port in the case. I got the black/grey case today from my local Verizon store for $19.99.
My old HTC cable from my EVO 3d does fit though.

Is there a hole for the camera microphone? Seems like the Barely There and Tough case has a hole for it, but not the Pop! case.

I have that case for my GSII. I'm guessing it won't work because it fits pretty close to the phone at least for me. I could be wrong though. I am planning on getting the one that looks like a controller at some point and I'll let you guys know as I have ordered the Nexus and the extended battery.
Keep us updated
I like the Audio Cassette tape one linked at the bottom. lol.
No way am I giving up my Ringke Slim after finally getting one for the LTE Extended battery.
If it was a TPU case I would definitely get it. I love the material on the Cruzer Lite cases.

Again, I am only speaking on behalf of my GSII which I just sold, but, it didn't feel like it gave me drop protection when I had this case on. If that's the reason you have a case you might want to look elsewhere. It didn't even cover the front chrome completely.
Edit: Although, everyone loved it! People would actually call my phone my gameboy and it was a great conversation piece. Probably the only case I've had on an Android that people with iPhones were jealous of.
I wonder if that would fit the LTE version as well?
This skin seems pretty cool actually

Holy **** I've been looking for a gameboy case! Good find
IMO it looks weird maybe if they stretched it on the whole case idunno
The Cola one looks sweet though
http://www.tvc-mall.com/details/Kol...Samsung-Galaxy-Nexus-I9250-I515-MHC-I9250-55/
The biggest problem with these cases is that it looks like it covers the secondary noise cancelling mic. I might do something like this mod with a clear TPU case.
http://www.instructables.com/id/iPhone-Gameboy-casemod/
Can someone review this:

Is this site reputable? I would like to order one of these to the UK.
Anyone have any experience with them?

Looking for a good combo rubber case/clip holster/kickstand...

My phone is the Verizon Galaxy Nexus i515 and I've had the red Seidio cover for a long time. It came with a clip holster but the clip broke after 2 days. Got another holster and it broke again in 6 days. This was just from slight/small snags.
Basically I'm looking for something that can hold up against small snags. Also has all 3 combo (good rubber case/kickstand/clip holster).
This is something I'm looking for... only downside to this one is it doesn't come with a clip holsters. There's no indication, even on "what else user's bought after buying this", whether any clip holster will fit this particular brand. Link below...
http://www.amazon.com/Amzer-AMZ94208-Hybrid-Kickstand-Samsung/dp/B008B5DUT4/ref=pd_sim_cps_2
I like the thickness of it and how it has small covers for the USB port and headphone jack. It also has the kickstand.
Does anybody have this particular one and have a clip holster with it? If you do, which one fits with this brand? If not, is there anything exactly like the link above with all 3 combo?
You could try the Trident Kraken A.M.S. case. It comes with a belt clip. Its around $20 on Amazon.

Probably not. These are for stock only. I think I saw a Seidio case awhile back that had options to accommodate a bigger battery door. Seidio and Trident are my 2 preferred cases but I've never looked into one for bigger batteries cause I've never had an extended battery before.
You could type stuff like Trident Kraken case for extended battery. Same with Seidio.

The Kraken case is really good. Its encasing my Gnex right now. Provides ultimate protection and with military grade screen protector. Only issue with it
Is that its a pain in the arse to take apart when I have to do battery pulls sometime when flashing ROMs. I have no complaint about the rest of it.

I think with a better wording for what you're looking for is making it harder to find one. I know some products require specific wording in the search in order for it to show up. I was hoping that link would get you somewhere. I'll help you look for something when I get home from work.
You could also start a thread, if you haven't yet, and see if anyone bought what you're looking for and can point you to where they got it from.
Are you looking for a similar combo like mine (kickstand, holster, hard/rubber casing)?
