ringke stuff looks very nice... i wish they had a kickstand option... i really like my VZW kickstand holster but do not like that the corners are not protected.
I had a Rearth RingKe case on my Nexus S. They're similar to silicone cases but tougher, but weaker than tpu cases so they moved around alot especially if you put the phone in a pocket. Guess that's the trade-off for making them "the slimmest of them all".

Umm, the Ringke Slim isn't the same kind of case as their silicone case. It's like a barely there case with the top and bottom all covered.
I wonder if they fit/make a version that fits the lte extended battery?

Hi,
Our design team made the case to fit both the GSM/LTE version of the Galaxy Nexus phone. They made sure to take into consideration the .5mm difference between those 2 device. Our case will fit these 2 device very snugly.

Do you know if they will fit properly with the extended battery back on the LTE version (adds roughly 1mm to the back over the battery. Camera section is .5mm or less)

Thank you for contacting us. At the moment our Galaxy Nexus case is only compatible with the standard battery pack. However, we will forward your suggestion to our R&D team for consideration. Just keep checking back with us for updates.

Thanks KrazyMonkey, that help me out.
Yea I talked to the same guy (the only guy?) and he said the same thing to me. That the case will fit both versions, but not with the extended battery.
Also if you look at the actual pictures, it shows the inward curvature for the standard cover. It appears they would have to make a separate case entirely just for the extended battery cover... which probably wouldn't be very profitable.
I know some people use the standard battery cover with the extended battery. I'd be interested in testing to see if this case would fit in this setup. Or since the case covers the entire back, what about going backless on the battery door?
Rearthe are the only silicon type cases I would ever buy. For some reason they feel really good in the hand.
looks really nice. i might jump on a black one. wish they made a matte version to help with grip instead of the high gloss.
They do make a matte case, and it looks awesome:
http://rearth.com/mall/board_data/usereview/%B8%B5%C4%C9%281%29.jpg
perfect. thanks
I liked the Black Matte and the White, personally.
I like my cases to be a different color then the phone itself to prevent people from saying, "wow thats a brick". I try to make it obvious thus not to fool the sheep.
Mmh, would totally sport the white one if it fits the extended.

Just bought the extended battery at Verizon for half off, also walked out with the Incipio double case. This case feels tough and sure can take s beating, great for outdoor work and kids dropping my phone. But this case is a little too thick for my liking.
But on weekends or going out would like a second thinner case. What thin cases fit the extended battery ? Anything like the Feather or Rearth slim fit ?

I just use ghost armor full body, and then I use a belt clip pouch that I drop my phone into. It is the slimmest option, I protect the whole phone from scratches, and I can keep it on my side. I'm not really worried about dropping it, because even with a case if you drop it in the right spot, you will end up with a broken phone. That's what insurance is for. At least that's my opinion. I hope this helps.
I just picked up the Diztronic case below and it fits great and doesn't add much thickness to the phone- nice and thin. I don't have my extended battery yet but per the reviews this case fits, just a little more tightly which is fine with me.

+1 on the Diztronic 3rd revision case. I am running it and I love it. I have 3 other cases and this is now my daily driver. You can even leave the extended battery cover on too. I use the Incopio when I need extra protection.
Also a big +1 on the Diztronic rev 3 case. Full access to all controls, full protection yet thin. Just about perfect as far as cases go and I have tried a few.
Diztronic has very upstanding customer service to boot!

I've been bugging Rearth about making their RingKe case to fit the Verizon w/ extended battery. This case has been getting a lot of accolades here...
With the Verizon extended battery going for $24.99, it should just come standard with the phone. At such a cheap price, and only adds like a business card extra thickness it is so worth it. Plus you may get up to 2 extra hours on it over stock.
Point being, with extended battery so popular, I would hope case companies realize this, and pump out cases that are officially designed for it.

My local Verizon store didn't have any in stock but they ordered it for me w/ free 2-day shipping. Still $24.99
I went into the biggest Verizon store in my area, called first asked if they had the Nexus extended battery, they said YES, and tons of accessories too. Go in there and they said the battery is 50% off, they had like 4 on the shelf. Just call the largest Verizon store in your area, I am sure they stock them.
I am using the phone today with no case, crosses fingers The Incipio 2pc case was just way too bulky for me, felt like a my old EVO 4G which was a giant. Back to caselsss and this phone looks awesome, the gray color makes this phone looks stealth, like something a pilot from F-22 Raptor plane would have in the cockpit I just want a razor thin case to go around this now.
Oddly enough I tried the High gloss silicone Verizon case and its is really nice. feels thin in the hand
I use the SGP capsule case. Its clearly designed for the GSM version because my Verizon + extended battery keeps the lips from grabbing the edges all the way.
But the phone is on there and not going anywhere. You'd have to really look at it to see what I'm talking about.
I'm still waiting for something specifically designed for the Verizon with extended battery.

Does anyone know if the Diztronic case works with the GSM Galaxy Nexus with an extended battery?
The best case I've tried period that also works with the extended battery is the Case-Mate Pop case. It was recalled initially due to a lack of clearance around the micro usb port. In about another two weeks they'll have the second revision out and it will be my daily driver.
I've tried the Case-Mate Tough Case, the Boxwave Active, the Boxwave Slim Rubberized Shell Case, and the Seidio Surface. The Pop case sucked less than the rest and fits the extended battery with good protection and minimal bulk.
can't comment if it's the thinnest, but it fits and looks good.

Hey guys,
Got my hands on the Rearth Ringke Slim, this is Rearth's revamp of the original Ringke series of cases, which were made of TPU. The Slims are thin, plastic shells that wrap around your device. Rearth touts this as being the slimmest plastic case, and I can definitely see why! The matte finish looks and feels great, but over time tends to pick up some dirt and grime.

thanks, i actually only watch the first half just before you put on the extended battery lol. funny that you mention scratch protection of the case after you showed that it scratched the phone. ive read that this case can also scratch a phone with the normal battery. thats too bad since this is the only thin case ive seen that has a lip over the corners.

Yeah, if you're gonna use it with the stock battery, you'll be fine. The scratches are cause of the added pressure by the thickness of the extended battery.

Picked up an Incipio Silicrylic for my (GSM) Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Great form factor & snug fit for a Hybrid case. Its build quality is top notch as we've come to expect from Incipio. The case offers good protection & can handle most mid range impacts. I had a friend try it on his Sprint GNex and I must say that it wasn't a perfect fit. Even though most sites say it's compatible with the CDMA version.(It's NOT) but is capable of handling the extended battery for the GSM version.
Anymore pics from your phone? How's the silicone on the bottom part? Floppy? Sturdy? Does it collect much dust?
The silicon is actually pretty sturdy and it's not that prone to being ripped. I have all black version, and it collects dust like mad..
My Incipio Silicrylic with a SU vinyl decal. Loving this case so far.

it'll fit with the extended battery but it does leave a gap on the backside. I've had it since release day. the gap isn't very noticeable.

i just ordered the white/grey one straight from incipio and it was on sale for $17.99 and i got it in 3 days from CA to CT.
I have this case on the LTE verizon GN, and it works great.
I often use the official extended battery, though it is a somewhat tight fit for this case. As noted for the GSM extended battery above, it does push the bottom of the case out a bit, so there is a slight gap. Removing the battery cover will get rid of the gap, but I tend to leave the cover on and ignore the gap.

The lint attraction is pretty much non-existant. Gets an A+ on that subject. As for the screen protector Incipio includes with the case. It's terrible, very cheap. I actually threw it out. But the case overall is one of the best I've used and I've spent a small fortune looking for solid cases. Incipio has proven to be a great brand.
Sent from my i9250 (GSM) Galaxy Nexus
My friend has this on her Nexus. I felt like it made it too bulky for my liking. But it's definitely a great case that gives good protection.
I bought the grey and white one which i really like. To bad the black one would attrack dust and lint just by looking at it to hard!
My GF has this case on the Verizon GNexus and it fits really well. Well made and the smoother backing makes it easier to pocket. Silicone does collect some dust but since its so little surface area, its not that bothersome. It seems like it would really protect well but I'm not going to test that out!
Perseus by Trident
So, I ordered finally a trident perseus orange, looks good, have heard that doesn't give bulk to GNEX and provides light drop protection. In fact there is a discount at tridenteer.com 25% and free shipping in the US, I ordered it to Poland and payed 15$ with shipping over the ocean! Maybe I'll make some review after I got it
I currently have the Verizon incipio case and the seidio active. The Verizon case turned a gross color from my jeans and the seidio case attracts so much dirt and dust and pulls it all into the case that it actually scratched my phone. Is the ultra hybrid better on these aspects? I'd be getting the white one. I just don't want another case that actually pulls dirt into itself scratching the phone.

Personally I got the sgp hybrid white one and right away was not happy with, I mean yeah it will fit on a CDMA version, but not perfect at all, were talking about that it feels like its gonna pop out of the case if you drop it or pull it out of your pocket.
I am a picky person and I didn't not like feel of it on my phone, of course I should of known that when. The seller stated is was only made for GSM version.
Since my experience with I wouldn't recommend it, speciality since its pretty pricey.

Sorry I didn't respond away bud, well after buying the sgp ultra case white, I should of learned my lesson but didn't lol.
I bought the Neo hybrid sgp white and I came out bad on my LTE Gnex in the end, it will fit with the standard battery but you will have to play around with it(stretching ). But the more time with it, it will get loose and you won't have a good feel. So regardless how sexy it looks, I recommend staying away from it.
I recommend the ringke slim extended battery case for a very slim feel and look (plus has covers for headphone jack and charging port)
And recommend the diztronic revision 3 tpu case which fits all around the case and has cutouts for everything.

Thanks for the Case-Mate Tough recommendation, but I just checked out some reviews, and, IMO, it's got more downside than upside when compared to the Incipio:
Casemate Tough VS Incipio Silicrylic
Pros:
- Separate cutouts for flash/camera/speaker VS single cutout provides better protection
Cons:
- It's visibly bulkier-looking
- The casemate only comes in two colors: black/black and pink/black
- Much harder to put on and remove. Check out the video review below
- More expensive
- No screen protector included (if you care about that)
- The grippy silicone on the sides is completely covered by the outer shell (wtf?)

is this coming from this review or something?
Cons:
- It's visibly bulkier-looking - i can tell you the Incipio is actually a little thicker...
- The casemate only comes in two colors: black/black and pink/black - i just wanted a black personally...
- Much harder to put on and remove. Check out the video review below - again, i've had one on my SGS2. it's not hard but i could see some having trouble here. legit con i suppose
- More expensive - by about $4 if a coupon is used ($24 vs $28)
- No screen protector included (if you care about that) - already have one
- The grippy silicone on the sides is completely covered by the outer shell (wtf?) - the material that the Case Mate shell is made out of is actually a better grip than the little bit of rubber that you may touch on the Incipio.
coming from someone who has personally held both, the Tough Case is a better buy, if only for the reason that it's a little thinner. that Incipio is so bulky imo. when my gf saw it, that was the first thing she said.
No way the ibcipio is thicker than the case mate IMHO (or at least it doesn't feel like it) . I held both I used both and the incipio is thinner.. Which doesn't mean it's better. The tough is a great case but they are aimed to different markets

After seeing that review I think I'm going to look at the Sedio which I loved on my Inc.

black one ordered. so ready.
