What do you guys think?
Why not Desire S?
Don't get the Desire HD, battery is bad, and it doesnt have a front facing camera.
Incredible S is a good upgrade.
Or Desire S.

Out of these two phones I would lean more towards the Incredible S as the battery lasts slightly longer, I think the chassis is a bit more rugged and the screen, albeit not quite as big (4" vs 4.3") is actually more vibrant and I think looks nicer.
John
The Incredible also has a S-LCD screen, the Desire HD is just normal LCD which is a step down from even your current Desire

wana purchase 1 of these phones . which you guys think is better and why?
I had the galaxy s for 3 days (returned because it was too laggy, very laggy!) now have the Desire, and do not regret the decision I have made that day! Love it! very easy to do everything, root, flash, etc gaming, wow just wow, great graphics! and now theres even angry birds!
also, the X10 has android 1.6 (cough cough) Galaxy S 2.1 (yet still laggy, and the horrible "iPhone" look in the menu) Desire 2.2.
Galaxys can play avi, mkv, rmvb etc Desire can too with the use of an app (Rock Player) and I don't know about the X10..
X10 has the old skool TFT (not vert efficient, which giver poor battery life)
Desire, AMOLED/SLCD which are both very good (AMOLED, very good battery life, about 10% of battery use at the end of the day)
Galaxy S SAMOLED better quality for watching movies and has good power efficency, although the battery is very poor due to Android system (guessing).
X10 has 8.1 MP with flash
Desire 5.0 MP with flash
Galaxy S 8.0 without flash
X10 don't know about user exeriance with this phone
Desire very fast, snappy, and rather amazing! feels very well made, 720p very nice!
Galaxy S, laggy, slow, finger prints on the back, feel cheap, and the screen is abit big for my liking
X10 don't know about GPS
Desire 2-4 meter accuracy, very smooth, nice UI
Galaxy S 5-30 meters accuracy, random turn left/right etc...
if you do get the Desire, you won't be disapointed!
Forget about about the X10, had one for about 2 weeks before going to Desire. The difference is huge. Still got it, its a good dust collector though.
Don't know about Galaxy S but remember Paul Obrien from Modaco complaining about build quality.
Maybe wait for Desire HD which hopefully will be out in October.
I currently have both and its a more difficult decision than you'd think... especially as the X10 is due to get 2.1 before the end of the month.
Pros for the X10 include a screen that can be read in bright sunlight, a device that doesn't get uncomfortably warm with prolonged use and a much better email client. The camera is in a different league too...
Battery life is about the same for the two devices.
On the other hand the Desire is better in just about every other respect. How Sony Ericsson can think that its appropriate to still be on 1.6 this far into the game is beyond me.
Of the two I'd definitely choose the Desire unless the camera is your primary smartphone function...

Between those 3 I'd choose between the Se and desire and then we have the "sorry ericsson" joke . A couple of my friends had an SE unit (not x10, previous) and they tend to break after a while which is not really a problem if you intend to use it within the warranty period
You will not get much of a difference in battery life whatever you get
The SE will probably have a much better camera, if this is a consideration factor , htc are really good at piece of crap cameras . Desire is alright compared to the diamond for example but it's not very good.
Just wondering, because it seems to perform quite a bit better than the Sharp SLCD on my Sensation. Viewing angles are quite impressive by comparison.
Was lucky enough to have a go with a One X at an HTC event on Friday and it's just as good as you'd expect it.
It's super light, screen is amazing and clear (perhaps not as bright as the AMOLED on the One S, mind). Sense 4 runs with NO issues at all, and the new camera features are spot on.
If you're due an upgrade then definitely see if you can have a go with one before hand - you won't be disappointed!

can you tell us how it felt in hand, did you miss the metal construction?
Congratulations! How about battery life and video quality?
Felt nice and smooth, light as hell (think Samsung lightness). Didn't miss the metal at all, the polycarbonate was lush
Think the One S was lighter though, but then again it is smaller
Battery life, can't comment as I don't have one and the demo unit wasn't running on a mobile network (no SIM card in it) but seemed to handle most things without any issues. Video seemed OK, wasn't something I particularly looked at, but it's nice to be able to take stills whilst still recording the video
How did it compare to the two phones in your signature? Did it convince you to purchase one?
Was the product still a beta / pre-production model or was it now the final release version?
Did you see a white and grey version of the one X any opinion on the looks? How about how it felt in hand with the matt back and the gloss sides?
7 days and counting...
Thanks for the infos!
Did you felt any overheating after using it?
your comments remind me of the Sensation XL
on paper its not so convincing but everyone who lays his hands on it falls in love
1. Heat up? Hell no!
2. Final release - non-beta units
3. White only
4. I only had my Sensation with me when I went but I'd buy the One S or the One X as a replacement. As a replacement to my Nexus, I'd get either as well. The One S is awesome, the AMOLED screen pops as you'd expect and it's SUPER light weight but I'd have to go for the One X
Seriously considering getting a One X
excellent, can't wait for this Titan!
OMG cant wait!!
Did you take any pictures? how was picture quality?
Didn't take any pictures of the units, no - didn't see the point as there are loads online already - but picture quality on the phone seems to be good. I don't use my phone for pictures so wasn't something I was particularly bothered about looking at
Eddy, what was the screen like in daylight/sunlight?
This old Desire is ready for an upgrade
Dunno, it was indoors on Friday evening (8pm) so no day light to speak of!

You had enough time on it to know the battery life was just short of the Maxx..?
HTC have said in their press conference in Barcelona that battery life is high on their list for this device - so, we just have to trust them
Not long left to wait

A question that is important for me: how's the loudspeaker? I mean can you say ringtones are louder than sensation? I tested an xperia S and was surprised to hear a loudspeaker 4x louder than sensation...

Well I see that nobody has asked this but how did the one x quadcore feel in terms of smoothness of the interface and sense compared to the one s with the dualcore krait chipset

So I've been using my HTC now x for 6 months and I don't feel impressed compared to my HTC desire hd and what the competitors have to offer. Here is a list of the things I'm unimpressed with and what I am impressed with compared to the HTC desire hd and the leading competitors.
-Their are a lot of faulty models which I have experienced and am experiencing right now which is really bad like light leakage, yellow dots and creaking.
-The new earphones rc e190 are not as good as the rc e160 which come with a clip and cushions.
-The processor heats up really quickly their isn't a massive improvement between the snapdragon S2 and tegra 3 when it comes to chip size, architecture and speed all tegra 3 is a chip that has four cores although people say it's really good at graphics, graphics tegra 3 is only good at.
-plastic body and lightweight doesn't feel half as premium as HTC desire hd did with a 168 gram body. HTC one x has a lighter body and its bigger which makes it feel like its older then the HTC desire hd because their are some design improvements that are in HTC desire hd that are not in the HTC one x like removable battery, sd card, flash light doesn't give the photo a yellowish spot on the edge of the image, camera lens is more protected, no screen flex, better backlight on the sensative keys and their is a menu button.
-another thing I didn't like was the size of the phone 4.7" is too big 4.3" is perfect not to long nor wide the screen on the one x looks stretched.
-sense keeps crashing and web browser chokes on heavy sites and their is no pinch to zoom for the tabs instead their is a button on the top right corner which only appears when you scroll upwards which is annoying.
-camera isn't as good as the iPhone 4s forget iPhone 5's way too much noise and the colours are not as accurate as iPhone 4s and it takes longer to take a picture on the HTC now x then the iPhone 5 only continues burst is rapid. Also it only does 1080P at 23fps.
-the camera app has a gallery shortcut on the bottom left which has a slow change when taking lots of images the iPhone 4s and 5 is quicker.
- the loud speaker is a improvement compared to HTC desire hd but nothing compared to the crystal clear and really loud speaker of the iPhone 4s. HTC one x speaker is really unimpressive it sounds like an entering level phones speaker.
-the front facing camera gets dirt easily.
-the tactile feed back of the HTC one x keyboard changes from click so a soft buzz if you press all the keys on the HTC one x you will notice.
-the HTC desire hd had 756 mb of ram and the HTC one x has 1gb and it has more issues like sense crashes.
-The HTC one s has a smaller profile but at the same time it doesn't have the camera protruding like the HTC one x which uses the exact same camera oddly. The HTC 8X has the best camera because it doesn't even come out slightly it looks much better and slim although it has a body which is thicker then 10 mm and it has a 4.3 inch display.
-the polycarbonate body gets dirty easily even the HTC one x+.
The things I lke about the HTC one x are:
-brilliant display absolutely gorgeous.
-tegra 3 games
-battery is brilliant compared to HTC desire hd although not quite as good as other competitors.
-32 GB built in
-microdrilled holes much better then the HTC desire hd it doesn't get dirty.
-the three bottom keys have a thicker whiteness and the lights are white not blue like the HTC desire hd.
-faster browser and it can play hd videos on you tube app which are super clear.
-Take pictures and record videos at the same time.
-nice multitasking app layout
-nice design shape I like the curves on the screens sides.
All in all I feel that the HTC one x was a brave attempt to beat the iPhone and s3 but it feels like a runner up and could have been much more better these are the things that I think should be improved internally it should have the HTC one x+ internals and hardware wise it should be 4.3 removable battery, either use a s4, s4 pro or tegra t33 the t30 is slow. The camera should be flat the speakers should be much louder and on the bottoms like the lumia 900. It should have been much heavier and thicker allowing it to have a better battery and it feels much more better in the hands I don't know what everyone wets themselves over slim light phones. The camera should have been under the glass. It should have used a regular sized sim. It feels like the HTC one x was a tremendous improvement compared to HTC desire hd when looking at the specs but after using it I'm not that very impressed only with the screen, camera, and memory.
What the HTC one x+ plus is was what the original was suppose to be and the next one X should have been what I have just stated above but it feels like all android OEM's are heading the wrong direction with 2013 phones having 5" screens. I want to see the HTC 8X body with the HTC one X curved screen, no silly colours and a better build material like the one S. The one S, one X+ and x8 combined would make a brilliant phone for some reason one of their phones will have an improvement over the other but will have a disadvantage which another model solves which makes me feel that they are getting closer in making the right phone but they just keep on missing.
The only reason why I like the 8X because it is thicker and the camera doesn't have a hump, the reason why I like the one X+ because it has the right internals and the one s is made with the with right materials. I don't like that mobile phones need to have 2gb ram a quad core chip and to be 4.7 inches or bigger to compete with the iPhone 5. I think their should be a service that who ever has a one X should be allowed to upgrade to one X+ for free as long as its new and under warranty.
Are you satisfied with the HTC one X compared to previous htc phones?

100% satisfaction on design, build, quality, software and hardware. 10% satisfaction on advertising/marketing , customer service, support.

Loving my one x, still my first one as I've had no faults what so ever.
I knew about non removable battery and sd card before I bought it so that doesn't bother me (if it does bother you maybe you should of bought another phone)
I came from a desire hd as well and I'm not disappointed in any way about the feel and quality of the one x.

i had the one x for quite some time its a brilliant device,,a month ago i traded it for the galaxy s3
and believe me the s3 is like garbage in front of it,,, the display on the galaxy is terrible compared to the one x
the design and quality are better on the one x,, the s3 battery isn't any better than the one x believe me especially standby time
over all i got my lovely one x back a week ago.and I'm very very satisfied with it
I'm very satisfied with mine, more so than when I first got it. The main reason being that CM10 runs almost flawlessly on it. My friend has a SGS3 and AOSP roms on it are plagued with issues, so I'd much rather have the HOX. I also quite like how it looks (although I think my GNexus looked better), absolutely love the screen and I'm enjoying Tegra optimised games much more than I thought I would. Battery life is decent too.
I would probably trade it in an instant for the LG Nexus though, I'm a sucker for the Nexus line but the GNexus is just too underpowered at this point.
I'm very happy with my one x. I like the tegra games a lot and don't want to change phone to miss out on those games. However the arival of the HTC j butterfly may cause me to sell the one x

Just got mine a while ago and its a MASSIVE improvement over my Xperia Arc. 100% happy with my HOX
Good to hear a lot of positive feedback all the things I stated about what the one X should have been. What would you lot want in the next HTC after the one X+ and one X5. I want a better camera and CPU performance but that's a definite as the S4 pro and a15 performance is brilliant I blame the tegra 3 for all of the lag and crashes the t33 seems to solve a lot of issues I think Qualcomm make the best mobile CPUs and tegra make the best tablet CPUs for heavy gamers and movies.

Recently, I have brought a HTC Desire EYE. I am happy with its performance. Few problems like camera quality is not so high in low light. Phone get hot if you play any big game.
