Hey everyone
To the people who updated from the Original Droid or Milestone to the Galaxy Nexus, please post on the differences you see in terms of the OS, speed and games (Also wouldn't hurt if you mention what rom you have running on your droid/milestone)
Thanks so much guys
Edit: Also, I would appreciate it if you could tell me if you think its worth it to upgrade
I used to have the OG Droid, don't have Galaxy Nexus yet, but it's safe to assume it blows a 2 year old phone put of the water. It blows my 2 month old Bionic out of the water
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using XDA App on UNL3ASH3D R3BLURR3D V2.3 and will continue to be sent from here until I buy the Galaxy Nexus 32GB

I used my trusty gs2 for over a year, didn't think gs3 had enough improvements to warrant a new 2 year contract so waited to get the gn2 and glad I did

I had a HTC Desire HD and have now moved up to Samsung Galaxy Note 2. I live in Gothenburg, Sweden.

I'm from Denmark, and I come from a Nokia Lumia 800 to the Note 2. But before the Lumia 800 I had a Galaxy S, a Galaxy SII and a Galaxy SIII. My SIII broke and the insurrance company wouldn't cover it, so I got the Lumia 800 very cheap.
I was never happy with WP7. It's too locked down, so I waited for the Note 2 to be released.
And it was worth the wait. I love this phone I'm glad they made the switch from pentile to the new configuration. I hope it will last and not decay as fast as the Super AMOLED Plus.
Made a retro bootanimation I thought I'd share with you guys.
Originally made it for the iPhone a few years back, but decided to make a new, better version for the Nexus 7!
Including the loved and hated Guru Meditation we all know so well

Nice job, man... Best computer of all times! I still have my KS1.3 A500 in its original box and still working great.
Also, nice to see other "Rock Lobster" fans around here. :highfive:
Thanks!
Yes it's an incredible machine
The sound quality still blows my mind.
I was thinking about making a bootsound with the ticks and buzzing of the floppy drive aswell, but figgured then i could never turn my nexus on at night Maybe mute it down a bit, it could be usable. We'll see in the future

Incredible. Love it! Thanks.
I'm not sure how well it would go down linking to download sites as I'm not entirely sure if it would count as piracy (against xda rules). This is a good place to talk about our favourite games and recommend them to each other.
Favourite games for me, paradroid 90, hunter, hero's quest, the settlers.
Did anyone try dune or dune 2 on n7? I'm curious to see how well it would work without a mouse for multi selection of units

Robocod used to be my favourite game.
A very fun and cute gameplay. I have to get a go at it again soon
Personally i dont remember many titles, I'll have to go through some floppy boxes and search online to put names on them.
Allso Lemmings. I heard It's made by some of the people who made the GrandTheftAuto series, who are known for great and revolutionary games. Not 100% sure about this though

You're quite right. Lemmings was developed by DMA Design, the same people that did the GTA series.
My favorites (among quite a few others) were Hunter, Ivan Reitman's Super Off-Road, Flight of the Amazon Queen, Speedball I & II, Stunt Car Racer, Another World, Super Cars II, Pinball Dreams, Slam Tilt, Cannon Fodder, Kick Off II and of course... Sensible World of Soccer (SWOS).

Nice stuff.
Selling my Amiga 2000 many years ago is one of the odd mistakes I regret.
Downloaded it a few minutes ago and after the first level it gave me the 1000 coins for the game at value of $10 ... it calleds it galaxy note 2 special. ..

did you download it form Google Play or Sumsung's game hub?
Google play

Just downloaded the game from the Play Store, beat the first level, and I also got the "Galaxy Note 2 Special". This is still working/does work if anyone is an Angry Birds fan. I used to play the original Angry Birds on my OG Evo (Evo 4G) about 4 years ago. I haven't played any Angry Birds games in about 2 years or more though, but it's pretty cool that the games' developers did this for Note 2 owners! Definitely worth checking out if you're in to these type of games!
OP, thanks for sharing this info!!! I'm sure plenty people will be happy to find this out!

Here's the the countdown link for it. 4 PM on the East Coast and 12 PM on the West Coast! I can't wait!! The first Dead Trigger is amazing!! I'm sure the sequel will be even better! The clips I've seen look outstanding!
I think a game this awesome deserves it's own thread!

It's available now, but not for the N7 FHD or my Asus Infinity!! Pisses me off!! I wanna play it on my tablets, not my phone! Installed on my Note 3, about to play it now. Just wish it was compatible with my tablets! Hopefully Madfinger adds support ASAP!! Oh, there's a fake in the Play Store by a different developer, so be careful!

Unable to play with the multi-touch problem, but the game looked great, when I get a better tablet the game will be a must.
Awesome game make sure to turn the graphics settings to high in game. Mine was set to low.
