Hello I have recently update my phone to the latest official (dev) gb rom vi ruu. After the update my phone suffered from randon restarts some of them freezing the phone to HTC boot logo. After unlocking the boot loader I refashed via ruu the 2.2 version but even though the random restarts continued. I have searched the forums but everyone seemes to insist that it is a hardware failure though my phone before the gb update was working fine. Accidentally some days ago I found that even I have flashed the ruu version of 2.2 the radio and the hboot was the gb versions (new ones) so I restored the radio manually to the previous version (2.2 one) and after that my phone works perfectly till now. I also notice that radio rds works perfect but with the new radio did not.
I would really like to update to gb but it seems tha my phone (version?) does not support the new radio.
Does anyone one faces the same problem ?
Thx

Since I've installed froyo everything has been fire apart frow 2 big problems
1st thing is wifi dosent work I've done 2 factore resets reset my router but it's not working
2nd thing is my phone keeps rebooting i don't know why but it's so annoying
Thanks in advance ,nitin985
1) have you updated the Radio
2) have you updated the Radio then flashed your new ROM
Additionally what ROM & Radio are you using??
I've got the official sense rom not rooted with new radio I've got a unbranded desire
I havent hit a wifi issue with the ROM,, as for the reboots, is it force closing on certain apps or just doing it flat out?
Flat out it's stopped know I think it's when it's charging ore live wallpapers I'm not sure as soon as I slide down it reboots ore if I don't it just reboots
I started out with a Vodafone AU
Firmware 1.85.861.3 CL331649
Radio 12.28.h.60.140fU_26.06.02.27_M
Then I flashed CM7 - didn't take not of the radio version but location stopped being found on google maps etc.
so flashed Virtuous 1.0.2 which uses radio 12.28b.60.140eP_26.03.02.26_M
still no location found.....
I tried flashing radio 12.28h.60.140fP+26.06.02.27_M and leaving Virtuous 1.0.2 on, still nothing...
Don't have a backup of my original vodaphone stock firmware but I guess I could flash a 1.34 stock or something... I'm on my ~5th flash today though and I'm running out of patience. is there something I'm missing that stops the location function working?

I ended up putting CM7 back on (which uses 12.28.h.60.140fU_26.06.02.27_M by the way, didn't know that until the 2nd time I flashed it) and it works fine now, I guess wiping the phone enough times got rid of the EFS data?
I've used several custom roms like MIUI and RCMIX, but have always kept a backup of the phone's original software. Although these roms are great, they do have minor problems and the updates intended to fix them cause more minor problems...
anyway, Now that the official HTC DHD 2.3 update is live, I have gone back to the my backup of the original 2.2, and succesfully (by the look of it) downloaded the update. The phone reboots and only goes to a screen of the android logo with a yellow Exclaimation mark (!). I left it for half an hour til it was clear nothing was happening. Took battery out and it booted back into 2.2 without any problem.
I've tried undoing a lot of what was needed to get custom roms in the first place, but it hasn't been any good. (Unrooted, and used jkoljo's radio tool for an S-ON and Stock CID)
It's a generic DHD on T-mobile contract, but bought from Carphone Warehouse.
I've seen other posts about this, but I'm pretty sure they were in the wrong place and thus went ignored

Hello,
I've got a branded HTC Desire. I rooted it with Unrevoked, created a Goldcard before but since I've only got one SD Card, I now use it as a normal SD Card, it certainly dismissed it's "gold" propertie I guess...
I wanted to install a MIUI rom, so I first went for the MIUI_Au ROM one of my friends has. As a consequence, I've been following their instructions. But, being unable to download their rom, since their download links are dead, I went for the UK version of the rom, as well as the MIUI-XJ ROM. I wiped everything, reseted the phone to the factory thing, then installed the radio version 32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2. The Recovery didn't recognize it so I had to desactivate the signature check. After that, I rebooted, and tried to install the UK MIUI. After installing it, I rebooted the phone, but then it got stuck on the MIUI screen (where you have, at the top, "MIUI" and "Android ROM" written under, in chinese, and waves at the bottom at the screen). At first, it stayed on it, so I waited, since I read it was slow to boot the first time. But after around 3-4 min, it started to blink black every 10 seconds, as if it looped on this screen. After 10 mins I recovered my backup and erased the ROM.
I tried the same thing with this ROM, the MIUI XJ, but I got the same result at the same time. I also had to untoggle the signature check as well.
I don't understand where the problem comes from, but since I got the same on two roms, I'm starting to think I forgot to do something and it blocks the booting of the ROM... Any idea ?
Thanks.
Try a newer radio. No issues here. (check signature)
Yep, I also recommend to flash newest radio.
Miui roms
Install this radio 5.17.05.23 for miui roms. I'm using miui roms ( i've tried all version) and i have no problem...
I flashed Android Revolution HD to my HTC One M8 over the weekend (I was coming from Viperone). At first I was stuck in a bootloop so I tried to restore back to Viperone, but I had the same problem. I restored to rooted (stock) and was finally able to download and flash Android Revolution; however, no I can't get my wifi to turn on. I've tried wifi fixer and it hasn't helped.
I really like the look/feel of the ROM but I can't not have wifi.
Android version 4.3.3
Thanks!
For Sense 2.22 based ROMs (such as the current ARHD) its recommended to flash the updated firmware package. Broken WiFi is a known issue if you skip this step.

If you aren't comfortable with this, you can flash one of the older 1.5X based ROMs. Or GPE may be okay, as well.
I had exactly the same problem on many 4.4.3 roms. Only using stock kernel helped, but the boot time of a device was about 4min instead of matter of seconds.
Everything works great on skydragon rom (with their kernel).
Sent from HTC One m8, or maybe not anymore
Firmware
I tried updating the firmware over the weekend, after following the link provided by redpoint73 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=9592) I installed the new firmware 2.22.401.4, it went smoothly up to the point where i rebooted and my cell radio wouldn't connect.
I had to install the original firmware and then reinstall TWRP. I'm rooted with Android 4.4.2. What firmware do I use when updating so that my verizon radio isn't impacted.
Thanks!
