do i need to be on cm7/aosp rom? what setup are you guys using?
The browser is snappy, just like it is on the Kindle... unfortunately, it has the big, clunky toolbar, which means you don't get a lot of browsing space on the smaller phone screen.
It's fun to play around with, but it isn't really a browser replacement.
I just tried it. It works, but as stated, it's very clustery. I wouldn't use it as a daily browser unless they resized the UI.

I have stride the included one, and chrome. Is there something more snappy?

Dolphin HD

I usually use opera, but more or less are all the same because the problem is the ridiculous amount of memory available (with about 100mb availabe from the initial 512mb), 3 browser tabs are enough to slow the tablet. firefox is unusable (goes like a rocket on Asus Transformer with 1gb of ram). anyway forgot to download a file and in the meantime use another application, the download will be interrupted (again because of low memory)! chrome is quite slow now but it seems promising. ciao
I use only the stock browsee
Dolphin HD and Opera
Dolphin HD, sometimes Firefox Nightly.
Please, post next time in the correct place
Hi
I use the stock browser as it performs well running BBC I player. Browser set to android flash, Flash player vers 11.1.
Cheers
I use Opera mobile, but since the 12.01 update seems to have slowed things down so much on ICS, I use Chrome beta. It uses more resources than Opera, and I don't like it as much, but it's not sluggish, so I bear with it.

Browser?
I am partail to Dolphin HD. I use it on all my android devices. Very versitile tool for most all screen sizes & roms.
Chrome Beta without flash
Stock using flash
I use Maxthon Mobile or stock one.
Just looking to see what people are using for their internet browsers on the One X... at the minute im just using the stock but looking to change.
Had artefacts on screen with stock so gone back to trusty Dolphin HD, which is much more fully featured anyway
Chrome beta.
Used to use Opera a lot.
Maxthon is supposed to be good, but I hated it. Apparently flash works though.
Chrome Beta
Although scrolling can lag a bit on graphic heavy pages (is everyone having this problem?) compared to the stock browser, I actually prefer the slowness/responsiveness of the scrolling if that makes sense. Dare I say similar to the type of scrolling on an iPhone. Also love the pretty UI and being able to sync open tabs/bookmarks with the PC!
Downsides are the lag, no flash! and embedded youtube videos don't work even as links.
Only used the stock browser and chrome beta on my one X. On my desire I used stock, dolphin and sky fire.
Chrome beta is the best browser I have ever used on any mobile device, highly recommended!

I used the stock browser for 5 minutes before getting frustrated with activating the menu.
A lot of people seemed to recommend Dolphin HD so I downloaded it and have to say it's pretty good. Fast, easy to switch tabs etc. Nice plug-in to switch between Desktop and mobile mode too.
Always used dolphin on my desire HD but decided to give the stock browser ago on my HOX,try as I might I can't find out save my bookmarks into separate folded like on dolphin can in be done?

Install this with chrome https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nightshadelabs.anotherbrowser
In chrome select menu, share, flashify, then browser ..... to switch to the stock browser easily if you need flash.

Since Dolphin Browser HD recently dropped support for Flash on all Jelly Bean devices, including the Nexus 7, people have been needing the old version of Dolphin Browser HD for use with Flash. Well, here you are.
APK Download: http://dl.apktops.com/app/201206/Dolphin_Browser_HD_8.5.1.apk
If you need Flash Player, check this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1771463
Thanks
Thanks OP, very kind of you!
*Edit - Although Flash seems to work fine, when trying to go full screen it crashes out immediately. Currently Firefox does not have this problem.
This is great. I miss the pinch to zoom and the more functional address bar though. Not a poblem.
Anyway to tell the Play Store not to update it?

As of right now, no. I guess that's the price to pay to have Flash working on it though.
Maybe if everyone keeps giving it 1 star for disabling Flash, Dolphin will get the message and add it back.

Thanked
Did this yesterday and it's been smoooooth sailing so far. I'm new to Android and this made things a ton easier. :good:
I wonder if there is a way to change the apk or program to make it think your are running ICS so it still enables flash, besides editing the build.prop. From the Google Play update log it sounds like its merely disabling flash on JB while still allowing it to work on ICS/GB, so the flash supporting part of Dolphin is still there, its just being disabled.
I've been using XScope Browser.
Seems like Flash support is a little bit better on that one, but I haven't tested it extensively. Amazon Instant Video can be played full-screen, which is nice. I tried that with Dolphin, but it kept crashing.

What browse do you use? I use Chrome at the moment on freesg3 jb, but it seems to be a pretty heavy app. Looking for something that is lighter but just as functional. Dolphin seems to be even heavier than chrome...

Dolphin is great but I get way less screen time per charge if I spend time on it compared to other things. Would also like to know if any browsers exist that wouldn't use as much power, not necessarily faster.

I use chrome as well. Unless it needs flash, then i use the stock android.
I use Boat Browser. Simple, fast, small and wonderful.

IMO Chrome is the most useful browser considering all the integration with the things I use most often. Today's Android update has brought even more speed and stability.

I was using Chrome for awhile, but it was just so unruly on my EVO 3d and lacks flash. I mainly use opera and dolphin. As mentioned, dolphin does seem heavy. I'm still looking for that perfect browser.
I vaguely remember using maxthon on my old tablet. I'm actually going to download it right now.
definitely Dolphin
On cm10 I use the stock Android browser. I used to use Chrome but it feels much slower now.
Been playing around with Ninesky. Interface is a bit clunky but integrated flash is great. Otherwise I like Dolphin.

@LockeCPM4 - Here you go. I only pulled the APK file, not sure if it needs any other supporting files but hope this helps.
Thanks so much. Unfortunately it wouldn't install on my Note 3 or LG G3.
In the meantime Amazon finally has instant video for android but I much prefer the interface in the fire phone and iPad to what they officially have for Android.
