I'm running 2.3.6 rooted stock with bullet kernel.
Out of the blue, opera mobile will not play flash videos such as those on YouTube when they are embedded. Prior to yesterday, I was able to watch embedded flash videos.without a problem on opera. Since last night, attempting to play embedded videos results in the youtube player launching, and getting a network error 400, which occurs on both wifi and 4G.
So far, ive cleared data and cache, and uninstalled and reinstalled both flash and opera. ive also ran fixed permissions in cwm and rom manager. This is only a temporary solution, as once I close the browser the same problems occur. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there something I need to change?
Ive included pictures of what ive described.
Any help is much appreciated.

Hi,
I've had my Desire HD for quite some time and I havent had any problems with it so far. About 2 days ago, I noticed that no webpages would load when I was on the Mobile network.
Everything works on WiFi.
When using 3G i can only check my Email and play some online games.
Web browsing doesnt work in either the stock browser or Dolphin HD.
I cant access the Android market or use the Playstation application.
Does anyone know what the problem may be? A hard reset doesnt help!
any help? This is quite annoying :/
are u on stock rom?
maybe try to clear the cach on the programs that is causing problems
Still nothing ;/
Im using the stock 2.2 ROM
Might I add that the Dolphin HD was a fresh install and it didnt work....
Do you have the correct APN settings? It does seem like a carrier issue.
I manually configured the settings now and it still doesnt work.
One day it worked, they then it just suddenly stopped!
anyone else have any ideas? ;(
i had a similar issue on CM7. I was messing with settings and still don't know what i changed that affected Internet on 3G.
Turns out that as soon as i changed the APN Type to 'default, supl, mms' it worked again.
i am on Vodafone UK.
Alright, so I just noticed YouTube has stopped working on me.
I'm on SRF 1.0.2 (with AOSP Lockscreen) and YouTube just FCs every time I open it.
I've tried clearing data for it and even reinstalling it from the market (uninstalled using titanium), but it still FCs immediately on launch.
I'd hate to have to reflash over something like this, so I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and found a solution.
UPDATE: Running fix permissions in CWM3 seems to have fixed the issue (at least for now).
So far I've rebooted and all is still well, so hopefully it was just a bizarre permissions issue that even reinstalling couldn't fix.
Oh well, just glad it works now!

Anyone else have the YouTube app just freeze up during playback?
I think it might be a problem with the way the app is caching the video. It will load up to a certain point and then stop. When playback reaches that point, it won't load anymore. If i try and back out, the app freezes and eventually force closes.
One thing I've noticed though is that this only seems to happen with all the 4.0.3 roms I've tried. When using Android rev. HD there are no problems.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

That did put a smile on my face.
But seriously though, I notice your with Verizon which is cdma, I'm on a gsm phone. I wonder if it could just be a gsm vs. cdma rom issue.
Poor connection. Remember HD videos pulls more data. I get the loading symbol but only when connected to a slow wifi.

I get really slow loading on any connection. Either 3G, which is typically about 1.8 Mbps, or over my wifi, which is through 12 Mbps cable. Doesn't seem to matter how fast the connection is, at least for me. Not sure if it's my ROM or what.
happens to me on stock 4.0.2. Mostly with embedded videos in browsers. Also when attempting to seek via browser or app.
On wifi, 35mbps fios with full strength reading and about 20mbps thru put.
Drives me nuts, coming from iPhones and never had any problem watching vids. Now 90% crash or fail.

I get the same problem too, even after upgrading to one of the 4.0.4 roms. A temporary solution that I've found is that using the 2.4.4 version of YouTube works without any problems. Only downside is that this version isn't as polished as the updated one.
Here's a link I uploaded to the old youtube app if anyone wants it.

i thought the problem was specific to chrome so i installed dophin browser but my issue persists. every time try and open xda on my tablet it starts to loads then refreshes and continues on this loop until i give up. im on my laptop right now.
anyone having this issue?
yes
I was having same problem on tablet but installed new router and was flipping out thinking it was that lol
I have the same problem and it's quite annoying, and it isn't just android/tablet browsers, it's also iPhone's browser (safari and chrome).
I recommend you to download the xda-developers app from the play store
Having the same issue with Firefox for Android.
So ive been having this problem with my sprint galaxy s6. In browser video will only buffer up to about 28 seconds is the max ive seen it. Signal is fine, everything else loads pretty much instantly. Tried factory reset, same issue.
This happens on the stock Internet browser as well as Chrome, firefox seems to be working alright so far.
Again this is only in browser video, youtube and other seperate video apps work fine.
Running Renegade OJ7 rom on SM-920p currently. But the problem persists even if I re-flash the stock MD5 on the phone.
I would appreciate any insight.
Try Dolphin browser its my fav browser. but You have to install the flashplayer apk clear the cache on it and ifso is it up to date.
