Another problem (or featuer) with WM5 1.30 ... could any one tell me how to turn this Password program off ... as you can see from the pic the options are dimmed
Any ideas ?
Looks like you've set up Direct Push and your mail provider has set a default policy for connecting devices.
you are right ... I asked the administrator to make it every 30 minutes ... much better
Hi everyone !
I've posted many questions in several threads about "Tomtom Plus Traffic Info" problems after upgrading in WM6 ! And no one seemed to have an answer...
So I asked Tomtom Support for a solution. After they send me some classical propositions (reflash my PDA, reset my Tomtom, ...) I asked them to reset my "Tomtom Plus" account on their server.
That's what they finally did. They then asked me to reset my Tomtom parameters one more time, and to refill my account parameters on my PDA.
And now, it works !!!
It seems that on the first connection, they grab some extra informations like the OS version or its build (i don't know exactly), maybe more... you can't change thoose informations yourself in your Online Tomtom Account !
So don't hesitate to contact them through http://www.tomtom.com/support to reset your account Service Plus, it's the only way.
It took a quite a week for me (so be patient), but that worth it.
I hope this will help, and sorry for my poor english.

nice post, thanks for the info
Hi guys,
I have a HTC Excalibur sporting WM6. I am using the default messaging app with an IMAP account. My problem is, that whenever I recieve a message, the message count on the today-screen says "SMS: (0), Emails: (0), MMS: (0)".
Does anyone know how to solve this? When using a POP3 account the same happened.
Thanks for your help!
Notification: 0 emails
I have the same problem. Did you ever find a solution? It worked fine when I was on the T-Moblie ROM but now that I've flashed to the HTC 1.33 ROM it just says "Emails: (0)" on the today plugin even though there are new emails in pop3 or imap (non-outlook accounts). Does anyone know if there is a registry key that handles which account flags the notification? Thanks.
This happen to me too....
Go to Settings>Sounds> and change your new email sound. Mine was set at none.
It worked for me.
My Excalibur can count now!
Thanks for the reply although I don't see how a sound will fix the visual indicator on the home screen. I didn't try it myself since I've already found another workaround that I'm very happy with.
Good news: my Excalibur can count now!
After doing a little more research I found out that this is a bug in the HTC today plugin. Upon changing the homescreen layout file from HCT 1.11 to something else it will be corrected. I even attempted at writing my own xml file for the today screen and it worked just fine.
Bottom line is that there are many better looking and functioning home screens out there just use one of them instead of the built in HTC plugin...or just write your own. I'm using "Twilite" and absolutely loving it.
Kudos to everyone out there for contributing to the community and helping to make our phones much better devices. Thank you!
Hi all, and sorry for my bad English.
I've just bought a new HTC Excalibur S620. Everything's fine except one thing : I can't compose/read Text Message/ Email !
When I click Compose in Homescreen or create New Text Message in Messaging, compose screen appears with the word "To:" and a blue line in text area. I tried to choose a name in Contact but nothing happens, and I can't type anything ! When I received a text message, I click to read and a blank page appears, I click right soft key and it say : "The message cannot be signed and/or encrypted".
I use hard reset, after that everything's solved. Then I install "Auto Keylock (maniac Keylock)", the problem happens again. Hard reset again, avoid install that keylock app, but the text message compose stops working again after I setup GMail acc in Messaging !
So anyone knows how to solve this problem ??? Please help me !!! Thanks !!!
flash your phone to a newer rom. s620 are no longer being manufactured new so you probably have a refurbished which are notorious for crappy software. check out ookba's 3vo or NRG's rom running WM6.5
Yes I think it's the rom's problem, and I finally found out how to solved this problem. I hard reset my S620, after that, I run Messaging and compose, it worked. Then I use CeleTask to exclude the Messaging app, restart the phone... and the problem no longer happens again !
Thanks for replying me !!! ^^
Hey, It happened again ! But after read some topics in this forum, now I know what exactly the problem is ! It's because of I turned off ActiveX Control in IE Setting !
I just turn it on again, and after a reboot, my S620 works perfectly !!!
I love this forum!!! THANKS !!!!!!

Well i'm sure if you have any problems that this is the only place you'll find the answers you need to know. You should look at flashing to a WM6.5 rom, they're incredible and there are some great cooks here, but most importantly there are even more cool things being released every week for them that currently aren't being made for WM6.0 anymore.

thanks a lot !
Did someone try the Exchange-connection for hotmail? I use this with the official froyo but there seems to be a bug in this function. My battery gets empty in about 6-8 hours with acivated exchange-sync because the defy keeps downloading and uploading like hell (about 30 mb per day) for unknown reasons.
I already did a fullwipe but it didn't help.
I was just wondering if a custom rom works better with that...

@akztrion
I'm using it on gingerbread CM7RC0 and i'm not having any kind of issues.
have you configured it to sync ALL emails? this can be a reason for such band usage.
