I have gone through two headsets (Nokia BH-505 and Rocketfish RF-MAB2 which has awesome sound quality) and on both of them when watching Netflix the audio is about a second after it happens on the screen. Both headsets have done that and I am just wondering if there is maybe an app that can remedy this when streaming video on android?
Anyone????
Same Issue
I have tried different bluetooth devices. Issue is with Netflix and their developers.

Thanks to help from one of the members on here my bluetooth is now working fine for making/receiving calls.
However why does the audio from youtube app or tunein radio app not also come through my bluetooth device when paired and connected but instead through my HTC Desire loudspeaker?
Any one got any idea?
I'll try rephrasing the question.
Why doesnt a standard bluetooth in ear headset carry the full audio of my HTC Desire the way a pair of bluetooth headphones probably do and not just phone calls?
Either noone knows or the ones that do aren't seeing this thread.
I have Nokia BH-503 headset and I had the same problem. The calls would go through my headset, but everything else would play on the speaker. I noticed when I went to settings/Wireless & Networks/Bluetooth settings that my headset connects to phone audio, but not media audio.
I did some research and found a solution that works for me. I turn on the headset first, then bluetooth on my phone. Wait for a few seconds and that's that. My headset works perfectly and plays all audio from the device. When I go to settings, it says that the headset is connected to phone and media audio.
Try that and see if it works for you.
I'm only getting the option to use phone audio for some reason. I even tried switching my headset on first as you suggested.
My headset is a Nokia BH-102.
Any other ideas on how to get the media audio connected?
I think my bluetooth headset is just too crap to play media audio.
I'm not sure if it's a software or hardware problem, but Skype on my friend's Desire HD always route the audio to the earpiece rather than the headphone he plugged in. However my Nexus S doesn't have this problem. We are both running CM7 RC1. Does anyone know a solution to this?
Well, it turns out if a headset is used, Skype correctly routes the audio to the headset. However, using an ordinary stereo headphone doesn't work, only the notification audio from Skype goes to the headphone, but not the in-call audio. I wonder if it's an audio driver issue, Nexus S doesn't have this problem at all.
From what i understood, your headset will be used (with stereo) if it supports A2DP.
Else, some apps permit to redirect audio to most BT headsets, but in mono. Super BT Mono, Bluetooth Switcher, Choice Dialer, Bluetooth Audio Widget, and perhaps few others, seem to do it.
Hello. I have a Desire HD with android 2.2.1.
Last year I had a HTC Touch HD with windows mobile. I bought a chinese copy of the jabra bt3030. The sound was out of sync with any video I could play. I didn't try with other phones, anyway I didn't spend that much for the headset, so I just sold it on ebay....thinking that that's why people don't buy chinese copies. OR maybe it was a problem of the transmitter of the Touch HD...so I didn't buy anything else and stayed with the normal wired earphones instead of having another stereo bluetooth headset.
NOW
I have the Desire HD, and bought THE ORIGINAL jabra BT3030. EXACTLY the same problem: youtube, trailers from MDB, .avi TV-rips played with rockplayer ---- EVERYTHING has this horrible out-of-sync audio which makes it impossible to watch even 5 second of a video without getting crazy.
I mean is that a problem of every stereo headset? IS that too much information to be sent to the headset? What can I do to make the sound sync with the video?
I have a stock rom.
Does anyone have this kind of problem? With which phone? With which headset? Is there any support forum for the Jabra BT3030 (it is the dog-tag one) ?
Last time it was a cheap 20$ chinese copy....this time is a retail 65$ boxed jabra....and I EXPECT it to work properly...
maybe you can set up the connection as new. or reset to factory settings
what do you mean by 'set as new' ? I paired the devices today for the first time. Reset to factory settings...is something i would rather not do
BT connections have a small delay.
You can try to set some BT settings to create a smaller buffer or something...

for instance? which BT settings could I adjust?
About the delay: i used until now a normal mono bluetooth headset, which is not A2DP so cannot reproduce media content (music or games sound and so on). There is a paid app on the market called BT Switch. This app redirects every sound of the phone to the mono bluetooth headset, allowing you to listen to music, hear the GPS directions, watch a video on youtube with the sound on the mono headset and so on.....well, there isn't any delay. That's why i can't understand why the stereo headset has so much delay....ok, it is stereo, more informations to send and so on...but the mono one has NO delay at all.
But of course a stereo solution with good earphones is much better than a mono with the low quality sound of every mono headset, which are built only to use the phone and not reproduce any kind of media sound...
I use a Sony Receiver in my car which is bluetooth compatible. When I've used an iPhone and a Droid 2 with it in the past the audio streaming has been great, but I've noticed when testing it with an Arrive and with an HD7 it sounds like it's streaming at a low bitrate. It gets kind of crackly. Does anyone know if this is a known issue or if there is some sort of setting I can use to adjust it?
I've actually wondered if they dropped the bitrate on bluetooth audio streaming with the NoDo update, or remixed it. My memory may be failing me, but I swear I had a better audio streaming to my car stereo and bluetooth headphones on my Samsung Focus before the update. It sounds like the highs are mixed more sharply now, with missing mid/bass emphasis. This is to a nice JBL 8-speaker system in the car, and a pair of Sleek Audio SA6s via a Jabra 3030. Anyone else noticed a change in bluetooth audio streaming since NoDo?
Hello everyone,
I paired my LG Tone HBS-700 with the Nexus 7. Audio works flawlessly but when it comes to microphone ...
When making a call in Skype or Viber I can't get the mic on the bluetooth headset to work. I can only hear audio. The mic on the tablet works fine but hey I bought a bluetooth headset to get away from the tablet and relax on the bed.
Any solutions?
I think this is known. Corded headset with mic doesn't work either.

I've griped on end over this and searched so I'll save you some time. It seems no app except for grooveip works with bluetooth recording. I haven't tried grooveip myself but others say it definitely works. If it wasn't for grooveip, I would suspect the proper audio profile isn't there in the nexus 7. I wish a dev could confirm this. I wouldn't have thought bluetooth mics would be a big thing. In my ignorance I assumed it would become your 'sound device' when paired and any app that attempted to record/capture audio would be re-routed to the bluetooth device. If it is a matter of apps being properly coded, maybe we'll have I dunno, 4 or 5 apps that work properly with bluetooth in a couple of years.
Yeah I'm being a little cynical but I was surprised how poor bluetooth support is when it doesn't seem to be the case on the bb/ipad side. The other disappointment with bluetooth is audio sync with gaming. So travelling and I feel like gaming I have to switch to a wired headset. I read it's an issue with bluetooth itself, but confirmed with a couple of friends the sync issue doesn't happen on playback or ipad.
Just to add it's not just gaming. Basically you'll only have audio sync with movies that are hardware decoded (e.g. when using google's movie player or youtube app), but try and play an xvid etc. So I think you'll find audio playback isn't flawless either.
