Hello. I have a Desire HD with android 2.2.1.
Last year I had a HTC Touch HD with windows mobile. I bought a chinese copy of the jabra bt3030. The sound was out of sync with any video I could play. I didn't try with other phones, anyway I didn't spend that much for the headset, so I just sold it on ebay....thinking that that's why people don't buy chinese copies. OR maybe it was a problem of the transmitter of the Touch HD...so I didn't buy anything else and stayed with the normal wired earphones instead of having another stereo bluetooth headset.
NOW
I have the Desire HD, and bought THE ORIGINAL jabra BT3030. EXACTLY the same problem: youtube, trailers from MDB, .avi TV-rips played with rockplayer ---- EVERYTHING has this horrible out-of-sync audio which makes it impossible to watch even 5 second of a video without getting crazy.
I mean is that a problem of every stereo headset? IS that too much information to be sent to the headset? What can I do to make the sound sync with the video?
I have a stock rom.
Does anyone have this kind of problem? With which phone? With which headset? Is there any support forum for the Jabra BT3030 (it is the dog-tag one) ?
Last time it was a cheap 20$ chinese copy....this time is a retail 65$ boxed jabra....and I EXPECT it to work properly...
maybe you can set up the connection as new. or reset to factory settings
what do you mean by 'set as new' ? I paired the devices today for the first time. Reset to factory settings...is something i would rather not do
BT connections have a small delay.
You can try to set some BT settings to create a smaller buffer or something...

for instance? which BT settings could I adjust?
About the delay: i used until now a normal mono bluetooth headset, which is not A2DP so cannot reproduce media content (music or games sound and so on). There is a paid app on the market called BT Switch. This app redirects every sound of the phone to the mono bluetooth headset, allowing you to listen to music, hear the GPS directions, watch a video on youtube with the sound on the mono headset and so on.....well, there isn't any delay. That's why i can't understand why the stereo headset has so much delay....ok, it is stereo, more informations to send and so on...but the mono one has NO delay at all.
But of course a stereo solution with good earphones is much better than a mono with the low quality sound of every mono headset, which are built only to use the phone and not reproduce any kind of media sound...

Too many acronyms?
OK, so I got me some nice little bluetooth headphones, the iPhono mini things from bluetake. I'm digging them.
Only problem is that TCPMP doesn't fancy piping its music over bluetooth, although WMP happily will. This is pretty pants, since most of my music is AAC, which WMP naturally won't play.
Also, while we're here, even in WMP the pause/skip buttons on the headphones are having no effect. It's kind of jittery too. Man, what?
So, does anybody have any ideas? I gather from searching that many people do use bluetooth headphones, and there was even one instance of someone saying they do so via TCPMP regularly.
I'm using a HTC Magician (1.12 rom) with the url=http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=33532&highlight=a2dp]BCHS bluetooth stack/url], maybe I need a different stack? I gather there are a few...
Maybe if I upgrade to the 1.13 rom? Or maybe a different bluetooth stack? I don't know :/
I've never tried to use my BT headset to listen to music with my phone, but on my laptop, the headset has to be paired and activated in 'My bluetooth places. Then I have to select it as the audio device to use in control panel->sounds and audio devices, then restart whatever media player I'm using.
Good idea, but I tried restarting the apps already. I even did a soft-reset and made pairing the very first thing I did when it had finished booting.
Itech a2dp
Just bought some Itech clip s35 BT thingy, lets you put your own headphones in.
I put my universal on my desk. Went to the next office. About 10 meters away, through thin walls and next to 7 servers, its still 100% crispy sound.
I turn around and it stops, turn back and its back again. 10 metres! Through walls!!
Connected to my Sony MDR EX71 mini squishys and Im sealed in sound wirelessly.
I cannot fault these in any way shape or form.
For sale now on amazon. £30

Ooops
I forget to say that as this is paired as wireless stereo in my bluetooth devices, everything comes out this headset.
TCMP
Games
Phone
Media Player
I paired it and it seemed to completely take the place of my wired headset. As if it is plugged in.
With the voice dial activated using the button on the headset, I dont have to get my phone out of its case to listen and make recieve calls. I have not tested to see if TCMP cuts out and comes back in.....
My suggestion would be to find out if there are different types of A2DP, as my device seems to have this device as default audio output. Perhaps this is just a windows mobile 5 thing though.....
I am going to upgrade my old Magician with a bluetooth stack which supports A2DP. If I do this sometime soon, ill let you know my results.
Sorry for the apparent topic change.

Ha ha! I'm all "Wait, how the hell is he doing all that? Maybe he has WM5?" and I'm pretty sure you're right. I've been trolling this place for the last few days on all the Magician + A2DP info I can. Seems as though only WMP will stream audio over bluetooth via A2DP with that upgraded stack.
I find that CorePlayer works great w/ A2DP.
I just got MOTO s9's today, I am able to hear music when listing to Coreplayer/tcmp but the Play, pause, next buttons don't work.
You can map the headset buttons to control playback with Hotkeys in CorePlayer the same way you map hard keys on the device.
If you want TCMP to play over a2dp when it doesn't automaticly do so you must go to the options menu, then audio options, then select Null audio in the audiodriver section. Press play, obviously you won’t hear a thing. Pause the music or video and go back to the audiodriver section then select wave output. Press play And voila you have bluetooth audio. This does the trick for me as it doesn’t play through headset automaticly.
hope this helps you.
Find the BTAudio.cab application if it works with your device.
Pair your device with 'JETware Mobile Extension 1.31' & configure it. Also do make the device in Bluetooth Discoverable mode, this will certainly help in streaming the music. Better try CorePlayer 1.2.4.
I tried to set up a set of BT Stereo Headphones in a shop the other day to test them. We couldn't get them to go so we could listen to mp3s. I use GSPlayer.
Has anybody done this successfully? How do you tell the Magician (WM5) to output the sounds to the bluetooth headset and not to the normal headphones audio output socket?
many thanks,
Zaine.
Cant remeber where i got and who to give props too. but here it is
just run the output all audio to bluetooth and the run the other to turn off
and the auto mode which i havent tested out yet
Bewdiful.
Bewdy mate.
Thanks very much, that seems to do the trick. It works with my normal headset now. I'll go back to the shop now and test those other headphones.
The auto toggle seems to work OK as well, btw.
Once again, thanks a million.
Good deal. I gotta try this out. Will this work w/ the Wizard?
It doesn't work with my Magician + BHCS BT Patch...
I've read plenty of threads about this. For Magician, A2DP is WMP only. Doesn't work with anything else.
Mind you, this is what everyone else has said. I have not tested this myself.
I can confirm that, in my experience.
Also: WMP is pretty rubbish about its A2DP support. For some reason it'll only stream mp3s within a certain bitrate, too low and it uses the device's speaker.
It won't do non-stnadard sample-rates either, and on most setups it seems to "burp" every few seconds.
Ik am succesfull with the standard WMP though. It plays all bitrates, and only rarely stutters... So when I use WMP, I am satisfied!
Works fine, just bad quality sound with Bluetooth.
Well, I tried again in the shop and everything worked fine on my Magician (a T Mobile MDA compact with WM5). However, the sound quality was pretty rubbish. The sales guy reckoned that was a function of Bluetooth.
So, not a winner there. But, I can now listen to my voice recordings and podcasts via my normal BT Headset, which is really handy.
Thanks again to the Frioman - a really useful couple of apps. The toggle is on my Today page now!

Yeah, I got this all the time, espically if I fast forwarded and rewound. And I was re-encoding mp3s to different bitrates, constant and variable without much success.
"Damn WMP and it's lack of features! The stupid thing can only play MP3s... and... WMA..."
I did a few test re-encodes to WMA 9 (not 9.1) @ 192 and now I get those burps and crackles every ... ten minutes? Half an hour? Definitly not every... what, twenty seconds to a minute.
If this is a problem for you, try re-encoding to WMA 9 @ 192. I use dbPowerAmp http://www.dbpoweramp.com/
ooff! took me about 2 and 1/2 days to re-find this thread again!! can we get a sticky on this????
used this on my Wizard (aka mda) and my Moto H3 and now can listen to my tv shows on the train w/my bt headset!
thanks!!!
I got a Unable to Open bluetooth audio gateway or something, though my headset is connected...strange.

There is three icons one for audio off and one for audio on and one for toggle.
I ran one at a time but after 15 or 20 minutes I loose blue tooth connections and the communications manager freezes and when I click on the blue tooth Icon in settings it does nothing, I have to turn the mda off and then I can listen over the blue tooth again, but after 1or 20 minutes it does it again.
can you help?

is there any one out there
BT Audio User Problem
I downloaded BT Audio and installed the three .exe files on my 8525. Soft reset the device and then toggled the audio on.exe. Sound still coming out of the speaker and not the BT headset.
I do have the BT-620's and they work fine (even before the BT Audio install). I am trying to accomplish being able to listen to WM without having to lug the BT-620's around all the time.
I am wondering if having the 620's software is conflicting with BT Audio?
Also, I think to get the audio stream to play to the headset, one has to activate the voice dialing feature from the headset? I can get the sound to play only for a few seconds when I do this. Do I need to de-activate voice dialing? If so, how?
Thanks and Happy Holidays
Wokring great with Plantranics voyer 510
Thanks for such nice software....it is working great in my mda and voyer 510 bluetooh head set.

Bluetooth stereo headset on htc s620?
Does anybody have expirience with a stereo bluetooth headset on de HTC S620 or Dash? and is this possible? And wich headset is a good one?
Fortunately, the Dash has bluetooth 2.0, so you'll be able to try the newer headsets/headphones as they come out. Sony has a set of 2.0 headsets that I tried as they had the earbud style I prefer (they stay in). The sound quality was a big disappointment though, not approaching that of wired headphones. The range was great though. Tried to watch video with them, but the audio was out of sync. Wound up returning them.
These look worth trying: http://mobilitytoday.com/news/007355/Jabra_BT8010_CES
Whatever you decide to try out, make sure the place you get them has a return policy.
Thanks for your reply.
i think i will keep it by mine wired headset
My dash was setup for poor audio on the stereo bluetooth. After much searching, i found out i had to delete the keys in the registry for it to work. Once i did that, audio quality improved ten times.
More on that here. I appear to not be the only one with the issue. If your getting poor audio quality with the stereo bluetooth, give it a shot.
I just got the itech clip headset which takes nomal earbud headphones not the headphones take look dorky when you wear them. A2DP AVCRP, works perfectly. No problems with audio quality. Handling of phone calls back to windows media player is fine Microsoft voice comand works fine as well. I have the o2 Germany ROM installed.
bluetooth headset profile question
everytime i connect my bluetooth headset or my wired handsfree headset my profile automatically changes to "headset" and i cannot change it to any other profile while the headset is connected
is there any way to change your profile while a headset is connected? or is there a registry edit that will do the job?
thanks in advance
Bluetooth loudness
Hi,
I am using the Dash flashed to the S620 original ROMs, on the US T-Mobile network.
Everything is fine, but the call volume on with my bluetooth headset seems low.
(I tried a Motorla hs500 and a samsung wep200)
Is there maybe a registry hack to increase the bluetooth volume?
Cheers,
Bela
I know what your talking about and I hate it. Only way to change the profile is to turn off your BT Headset.
I would like to have 2 headset profiles so i can have a silent one and that isnt silent.
bluetooth a2dp registry settings
So... following a thread here, I deleted everything in regards to those keys and I'm getting random dropouts whilst listening to music over my Motorola HT820 headphones. Is there anyway someone can send me their backup settings or tell me the settings so I can put them back in? Am I just forced to do a clean install of the WM6 Beta rom? I know, I'm stupid for not backing up, but they said it worked well... :-( Thanks!
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2DP\Settings
thats where the key values were deleted...
can someone give me their values so i can reprogram it in?! thanks!

bluetooth file exploring
is there any application or software that i can use to look at and copy files that are on other devices through bluetooth?
i used to have a samsung phone and i was able to do this, because my co workers and i always need files that are on eachothers phones and its just easier to go and get the file yourself then to have to ask them to beam me the files
any input would be helpful
T-mobile Dash and Bluetooth Stereo headphones
Has anyone tried using the A2DP functionality with bluetooth headphones to get stereo music? In particular I'm considering the I-tech S38 with my T-mobile Dash.
Thanks in advance!
My understanding is that certain headphones work better than others. Dishe over at HoFo tried the I-tech Clip r-35 with hs SDA and (I think) a Dash and wasn't happy with the results. I've used my cheapo Logitech BT headphones with my Dash and had very good results. Because of this I'd make sure whereve ryou get them has a liberal return policy.
Thanks for the update!
I followed up by searching the threads at Hofo and read a number of reviews outlining a bunch of issues with I-tech clips. Apparently, the plantropics headsets are much better.
cheers
My brother has a plantronics 590 I think it is. It sounded really good on my MDA, but that was before I had my dash.
None of them that I have tried (and I've tried a lot) sound nearly as good as a wired set of headphones. Definitely follow the poster's advice who recommended purchasing from someone with a return policy. I did, and returned them all -- an online store with a good selection and a good return policy: http://www.mobilecityonline.com
Bluetooth problem on SPV E600
Hi guys,
Anyone got that after installing HTC rom "RUU_Excalibur_HTC_WWE_1.11.405.4_4.1.13.28_02.63.90_Ship"?
I can't get the bluetooth to start.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Bart
Same with t-mobile wm6 beta
I am doing some nice commute at the moment (170 mile round trip) every other day and have loaded some podcasts onto my nice Touch HD phone. At the moment I have one 3.5mm jacked headphone bud in one ear to the listen to them with the bluetooth earpiece in the other for the phonecalls I get.
The HD will stop the music when a call comes in on the headphone side but I would like to get a BT solution to listen to the podcasts and still answer the phone and talk without having wires everywhere!
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Looks like I am being a div! I couldn't see anything on the SD9 site which mentioned a microphone!
So, any recommendations for bluetooth headsets!!
Regards
Most bluetooth "stereo" headset can function with both headset probile and music profile.
I myself is using iTech Clip Radio. I have it connected using music profile for listening to stereo music most of the time. When call comes in, it will switch to headset mode automatically and ring in the earpieces. You can answer call by pressing a button on the clip.
The good thing about this and why it is popular because its earpieces can be disconnect from the clip. You can replace it with any 3.5mm standard earpiece. The mic is built-in to the clip.
The bad, it is not completely wire-less as Motorola HS820. You still need wire from the clip to the earpiece. The included earpiece has shorter cable, but still annoying sometimes.
Not sure if it is availble in your region. iTech bluetooth stereo headset is very popular in South East Asia region.
I've recently got a Tritton AX BlueStream:
http://www.trittontechnologies.com/products/TRIBH102.html
It's similar to the iTech clip in functionality, but the main reason I went for it is that it charges over mini-USB so you only need to carry one charger cable...
It's also £20 off here: http://www.cooleststuff.co.uk/WsProduct.asp?sessid=160913654720&CWDCSID=3770&BPID=4602
BT STEREO is GREAT .. but newer ROMs lock it to WMP
I have the i-tech r35 clip and love it. What is nice is that is has PREV Play/Spot and REV D-pad. With Tcpmp these can be programed. I don't go backwards so I set the "prev" key to skip 10 seconds... that way I can speed through the commercials and anouncements of the podcasts.
Unfortunately since I flashed a newer ROM, anythime I press any button on the CLIP the Audiomanager is launched. I want to use COREplayer. Anyone know how to disable AudioManager form automatically coming up? Thanks!!
I propose You the set Bluetooth sony ericsson DS-220. You have the possibility of connecting to him any receivers. The very good solution.
Try Motorola HT820. I use it on my Wizard and have't noticed any problem.
I use the sony DRBT21G. they include a built in battery have a microphone. links very well with windows mobile with a audio players and with the phone software. it rings through the headphones also. they are extremely comfortable. tbh I think they are a perfect solution. my favourite gadget when it comes to my diamond. well apart from the diamond itself.

Jaybird JB-200
I just posted this http://www.jaybirdgear.com/ in another thread and same as I said there just havent been able to suck up and lay out the cash yet. However, just about every review of them says they fit the bill very nicely.

Bluetooh would be the best feature for this particular reason....yay!
maybe you should try out the Plantronics Pulsar (590A or 590E)
its a stereo headset using either bluetooth or a 3,5mm plug. but using a cable you can only listen to music...
the 590A comes with a small bluetooth sending unit so use with every mp3 player with a 3,5mm port
i'm using mine with my htc kaiser on the go, battery lasts for about 12 hours. theres also a charging cable for usb ports, a cradle, a wall plug and a carrying case with included.
The soundquality is very very good in stereo mode, if you receive a call, it stops the music and switches the bluetooth profile to handsfree device.
You can controll your music player on your touch hd and also activate voice dial etc.
it's even better to use it at home with the pc and skype best combination
I'm using an HTC Touch Pro 2. It lacks a 3.5mm headphone adapter, so I thought, I'd get a bluetooth headset with A2DP support to get around it. I've bought a Plantronics Voyager Pro+ and been using it the last few days, however, I've noticed a few problems:
1) Ringtones don't go directly to the headset. I've fixed this halfway with a mortscript to adjust the handsfree options in the registry. Now my ringtone goes to the headset, but the ringtone that plays in the headset that the headset comes with plays along with my ringtone. Not cool.
2) Half the time when I'm walking around listening to music or in my car on a call, I get my sound dropping in and out or the people I'm on the phone with complain about me breaking up a lot or being static-y. Are there certain things around me that attribute to this? The first thing I had thought was my phone's radio playing into the bluetooth communication with the headset, but I'm just guessing.
I've considered getting a new headset instead, but before I take that plunge, I thought I'd try to gather some input on other perspectives. If I do go for a new set, what are some suggestions for one in the $70-80 price range to start with?
