The arc grabs some pretty bad resolution photos for contacts, timescape. Is there a mod or a tweak to grab higher resolution photos?
Thanks.

It's a simple question, but I'm confused. I see, in CM7 themes topics some names for the resolutions (LDPI, MDPI, HDPI).
So, where Arc fits in this qualification?
Sorry for english

To support multiple screens, Android group devices according to display resolution (and other parameters).
http://developer.android.com/guide/practices/screens_support.html
The Arc has 233 PPI, this way it best fits in the HDPI group.
Got it.
Thanks for the quick answer

following my memory card crashing I stupidly performed a factory reset on my Xperia Arc...some aspects seem quite different now, one being the camera, may of the settings such as resolution options are now missing, all I have now are four; 8MP 4:3, 6MP 16:9, 2MP 4:3, 2MP 16:9
I'm pertty sure there were quite a few more.
The question is how do I get all of the updates which I originally installed back on the phone? When I go to the PC companion it simply tells me everything is up to date!!!
Cheers
Im pretty sure that all the resolutions available!

I'm sure there was a 8MP 16:9???
16:9 maximum resolution is 6mp.

Maybe I imagined it then... so you all only have those 4 options for camera resolution?
It's strange when you know something is different but can't ut your finger on it!!
Thats it i believe.

It is good to have aperture setting
A fully manual mode will be nice...

It's quite impossible, Sony camera driver and libs won't allow you to do because aperture (F-stop) in most of mobile phone it's locked at the min. value (ex. In Xperia s it's 2.4 ) , and the driver change the exposure time the ISO and exposure bias, to adapt the photo at the sunlight brightness and the mode selected(sport, party etc....)

REQUEST goes to general section. Read the XDA rules and post in the right section.
Look guys , if someone would have ported it, he will definitely post it here or somewhere else in xda , he will not keep it to himself , so STOP REQUESTING !!!
So, i am considering to give FXP's CM10 a testrun. The only thing really putting me off is how the camera works. How is the quality of photos compared to stock 4.0.4?
Camera is god but not same the original quality and video not full HD and the camera will be full HD on the official ROM

I'd say stock camera is better as well, but performance wise cm10 is fast with the other in Roms

Thanks for the answers.
In that case i'll wait until the cameralibs get ported.
Hi, posting from my phone so I don't know if this had been asked already. But what app is best for the xperia s?
I want a app that doesn't reduce camera quality. The stock camera seems to reduce quality, especially noticeable when you zoom in.
Thank you
