I am beyond annoyed with Sprint as of late. For a few weeks now I have had my messages delayed or not sent. Then all of a sudden, the following day I get a bunch of old texts. People think my phone is possessed. I've had to use Google Voice to check if my messages are being sent. There are numerous complaints about this across Sprint Community and across platforms, so it's not isolated to one particular phone. Sprint is pretending like this isn't an issue. Here is just an example
http://community.sprint.com/baw/message/381442
I don't know what can be done about this. I've already complained and reported it, but they claim it's not a widespread problem. Thoughts/comments are appreciated.
Same thing. Happened with og evo, evo 3d, and epic touch.

I don't know if this is related to their "network upgrade" or what, but it's beyonnd annoying.

I wonder if it is related to location. I haven't had that issue at all (EVO 4G, EVO 3D, E4GT.) I would be ticked too if it was happening to me.

I don't know that it's just location specific. It seems to be happening across the board according to other complaints on Sprint Community
I know using Google voice has been known to cause this problem on every carrier. Don't know if that is the source of your problem though.

No issues here, not using GV.

Its just a problem with the sprint/gv integration. I've been using the gv app with no problems.

NYC has been experiencing issues, it's being worked on.
Outside of that, update your data profile any time you think you're having texting issues. That will solve the problem about 75% of the time.

Well its hard to know when your having this issue.
Sometimes they just never receive my message as well. I've never used Google voice.

I've had the same issue intermittently and only recently. Messages take longer and I receive one message multiple times

Same issue with standard texts. I am in NYC as well. I've been using Google voice since I discovered the issue and it works great.

Unfortunately wiping profile and PRL only works sometimes. I tried with and without Google Voice. It still happens. I end up checking if my messages are sent via Google Vice which uses wifi as opposed to data with Sprint, so messages are more likely to go through with GV.

For the past hour, I've been trying to make a call and I can't get a dial tone. I got it to go through once, but no it won't. It just makes a blaring "BOOP BOOP BOOP" sound, idk how to explain it xD,
But has anyone else gotten it? Is it a problem with Sprint, or is my modem broken or something? I have no idea why this is happening.
Thanks.
Come on, someone please respond
What modem are you on?

Me too!!! I try to call out and after about 20 - 30 seconds I get a fast busy signal. I can receive calls no problem.
I DO have Google Voice active on my account...
EDIT:
Just disabled GV and now it's all good. Google must be having problems.
Sounds like a network problem with sprint. You could try flashing a dif modem or even odining to stock but imo it sounds like a network issue on sprints end. Try calling customer service.

A boop boop boop tells me I'm connected to my airave.
Try dialing *99 send
It will either say you are now in airave coverage or this feature code is incorrect if your not.

In my case it is an issue w/ Sprint and GV. I disabled GV on my account and presto, I could make calls again.
Of course, this was after flashing a couple of different modems... sigh.
Normally I try not to feed the trolls and wasn't even thinking when I wrote it but I guess it goes to show you can learn new words when trolling other devices forums. Maybe you should thanks me for increasing your vocabulary. ;-)

Both my wife's and my phone are doing the same thing. I spent a good 30 minutes on the phone with customer support. Interestingly, I was able to get it to work for about 5 minutes by dialing *740 (but not pressing talk) then rebooting the phone. The CS rep said it had something to do with "call forwarding being enabled" for whatever that's worth. I immediately asked if it was related to the GV integration being setup on both lines and she said no (but in my head I'm thinking, yeah right).
I did notice that my PRL was the "older" one and I just did a PRL update on my phone, but that didn't fix anything.
If you disable GV integration, can I just re-enable it later when they fix this? Is there any delay in switching GV on/off the account?
It worked instantly for me. As for turning it back on, I've done it a few times in the past.

I don't know if this is a sprint network problem or what but ever since the newest PRL update in my area I am getting doubles and triples of texts from my contacts and sometimes not getting them at all until maybe 2 hours later which is very inconvenient I must say. Anyone else experiencing this or have any suggestions? I've called sprint about it but all they say is they will refresh my signal which doesn't help...

Hey guys. I don't have an S3, but my brother does. He just got the jb ota this morning. I sent him a text once this morning, and he's gotten the same dupe text 15 times throughout the day. The remainder of my texts never sent through. I told him to clear caches and sms data, and of course a reboot. Nothing fixed it. Anyone else have this issue as well?
Thanks!

Is he using an Airrave? or an Airvana?
This has been happening to me all day, also happening to my mom. It seems that there is an Airvana outage.

I think we're onto something with this. My bro sent me an email this morning, said all 11 of my real texts came through this morning, when he went to work (presumably after getting out of airrave range).
I wonder if this is going to be an ongoing issue -- it'll be quite annoying.

Yes quite so. I just unplugged it. It was working just fine without it until about 2 hours ago when I stopped getting texts even without it. I am beyond annoyed.
I don't have an airrave or airvana but when I am roaming while at work, I get the same text multiple times and even updating the prl and profile doesn't seem to help. Only happens when I am roaming though.

Hi there,
I was texting a friend recently and I found out that I wasn't getting some of the messages they sent me. They were not limited to just text messages, but MMS as well. Is there anybody else having a similar issue?
I also sometimes get the "message could not be sent" notification, more often than usual. I have done a device restart but I don't think there has been any difference.

Service issues on both sides? Could be that ur service provider is doing something to the towers and its effecting ur service. Whats ur signal strength when it happens?

I always have 4G at my house and school, which are the only places that I've been recently. Generally I'm around 3 bars.
This is a known issue with tmobile. Especially when sending texts to Verizon phones.

I'm having other issues as well. Not just that but my text will set themselves as read just from reading one or unlocking my screen. Also when I open a thread it will freak out and start scrolling up uncontrollably. And lags bad if I have a lot of different text. I keep having to delete to keep it stable. very frustrating
Sent from my LG-LS970 using Tapatalk 2
The sending multiple texts thing is a known issue on the Sprint network right now, so nothing to worry about for that, but if it is truly scrolling up without you touching it, then it is probably a bad touch screen. I have seen it twice before with this phone.

Multiple text messages are are caused by the network. Usually in poor coverage areas is where I notice it the most. One day I got the same message from a friend 27 times in an area with crappy service.

That's not the only issue. Selecting all my unread text as read just from reading one. If I don't pay attention to the other bold text before opening one I'll forget lol. I have terrible memory.

If it's really really bad, call customer service and complain and ask for an Airave. It's basically a mini-cell tower that works over your internet connection (assuming you have one). If they won't budge, ask for the termination people. complain there. Make sure you get the device for free, the line for free, and the activation for free. It is a SIGNIFICANT improvement over bad service. Without it, my calls would drop about 75% of the time; the other 25% of my calls would be unintelligible.
