I have received mine today but I won't be applying it til Monday so until then I would also like some sort of review?
And this photo too... https://www.evernote.com/shard/s68/...73f0dbc0531e/ce4f433e908191be97ebe8af93a5d55a
Note: Although it says wet apply it doesn't actually come with any cleaning cloth, squeegee or spray ... but the cut seems very nice and I like how it is fully cut around the font facing camera and speaker
now i am wondering how to apply this stuff without the squeegee and spray bottle. will just wait for your review then
Shipped fron India? Do you really have to import a screen protector? Why don't you just put it on and post a review, because you're prolly the first and only one.

of course you have to buy your own spray bottle, create spray solution (quite easy actually). Use credit card as the squeegee.
It is a common practice by some seller/manufacturer to save the money.
I am preparing a short photo review as of the moment. Good thing I have this spare spray bottle with leftover solution from my previous skinomi screen protector. I got mine from a local authorized reseller. Will update you guys in a while, then a follow up after 24hrs when the solution and protector totally cures.
I work at the carphone warehouse in the UK and we are an authorized re-seller of ZAGG, but I hate how their protectors look! SO I have decided to give this a go, I am going to wait til I am in work tomorrow tho so I can use our squeegee and spray
Mini Review and Installation
The bad.
It only comes with the Gadget Shieldz. No squeegee and no solution spray.
The good.
It is clear, very thin, no yellowish tint and cut precisely.
Prep Up. If it is your first time to install a wet apply screen protector, I highly recommend removing the battery.
Clean the screen. I used wet and dry wipes and blow up dust particles with my rocket blower.
Squeaky Clean.
Spray the whole film with solution or water on the sticky side. Line em up. You won't have a hard time aligning this thing because its nearly the same cut as the screen. Just align the earpiece and camera hole as a guide.
Don't forget to squeegee out excess solution/water to lessen water haze and bubbles. Technique is to squeegee it out with a plastic card wrapped in a lint free cloth.
Waiting starts. Allow the film to dry and cure itself for about 24hours. Don't squeeze out and put too much pressure on the film.
Some water haze after installation. After 30mins almost 85% of the haze and tiny bubbles were gone.
I am still thinking if I will install the whole kit. I am planning to set the other pieces as a guide for a carbon fiber skin. The film looks great! It is barely there and you wont feel any grippy sensation when swiping back and fort. Unlike the Skinomi and Zagg that I tried before. There is a slight orange peel effect but it is because of squeegeeing out excess solution. I'll get back in 24 hours to upload another shot with the film fully cured.
Feel free to ask any questions! =)
Great review!

What makes you think Indians can't produce quality products? People like you are the reason why we have to spend so much on stuff that costs nothing. A screen protector is a screen protector no matter how you market or advertise it.
Thanks for posting the mini-review. I've been obsessively researching the various wet-install options, and had narrowed down my options to XO skin, SGP flex, and now this one. For such a good price, I'm going to try the GadgetShieldz. It helps that I happen to be in India for a couple months. I have the original squeegee that came with the Zagg shield (installed on my old Zune), so I'm good to go.
Would appreciate some post-install high-res photos, if you see this post. Thanks again.

Sorry for bumping an old thread but I have also ordered the same screen protector for my Nexus.
It would be my first time in applying one and I have certain points to I'm bothered about -
1) I don't happen to have any leftover solution as @snidrx and also do not know how to make one.
2) The swipes and the rocket blower are also missing.
3) any other points to be kept in mind.
Kindly guide me how to go about it and if its safe to have so much liquid around my device. I mean I am concerned if it might enter the main circuitry from the sides.
Thanks.
Steam up your Bathroom, so there is no dust in the air.
I've heard the solution is easily made out of water and just a little bit of soap. But please wait until someone can confirm.

Hi all-
Waited until I got a chance to apply this thing before I wrote a review. This is a full-body skin like skinomi or invisible shield. It's a wet application, so if that scares you, don't read further. It was my first wet application, and I'll say I probably won't ever go back...
I used this only on the back; for the front I wanted a matte skin (to reduce glare and fingerprints). It comes in 5 pieces; 1 for the front and 4 for the back. Again, I only used the ones for the back. Here's my review:
1) This was the best screen protector experience I've ever had; also my first on a tablet and my first wet application, so that's saying something.
2) Wet application took about half an hour; most of that was spent holding down the edges as it dried. If you don't hold down the edges, the protector doesn't go around the edges. The wet application required only a bowl of soapy water, no solutions. I turned on a daily show and watched it while I worked.
3) During the application, I got several bubbles. This is one of the reasons why wet application is so much better: every bubble was worked out in just a few seconds. Also, unlike a dry application, the thing isn't covered in static, so you aren't attracting every bit of dust in the area to your skin. I think I ended up with one imperfection: a bit of cat hair. I'm pretty sure my cat planned that. The small bubbles from the soap were gone after an hour or two.
4) The other major advantage of wet application: you can readjust the protector once it's on. My protector is so perfectly aligned that you can't tell there's anything there if you didn't know that the original back cover is brushed aluminum.
5) Once applied and drying, I let the whole thing sit for a few hours before touching it again, to avoid accidentally shifting the skin. Instead of the brushed aluminum, now I have nice, grippy plastic on the back. It gets fingerprints but no more so than the unprotected back, and with this thing on I have no problem using a regular cloth to wipe it.
6) Like I said, I didn't put it on the front because I wanted a matte cover, but I'm considering it now... The matte cover is far better for fingerprints but it does affect the usability of the screen (less responsive, requires a heavier touch). Since it means throwing it away, I'll leave the matte skin on for a bit...
Overall, I'd say this was a great purchase. Oh, and I almost forgot: I got it for half off! Normal price is $36 for the full-body protector or $25 for the screen; this code will get you half off plus free shipping (code works for everything on the site):
http://www.clearprotector.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=xoom&x=0&y=0
and the code is: iwantultra
(just for clarity--I am not affiliated with this company in any way)
Give thanks if this helps you!
Thanks!
Just brought full body protectors for the Xoom and Galaxy Tab for only $33 with free shipping.
The only thing missing seems to be the spay to apply the cover, but this is a minor issue.
EDIT: Also thanks to OP for the excellent guide. I'd just like to add that I normally leave the device powered off for 12 hrs after using any liquid method, to prevent any possibility of water damage.
You can apply the cover in the evening and leave it to dry through the night.

Should have added this to the original post:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-hN4PHDfsg
Use lots of water, make sure the whole surface is covered, but then let it drip until theres not much left. I didn't use enough water to have any worries of water damage to my xoom (almost nothing comes out from the edges), but you need to get complete coverage or you could get a bubble that wouldn't come out.
Do exactly like the video; make sure your workspace is open and clean! (like, really clean!) Wipe it down first, then lay out a clean dish towel. Use the dish towel to wipe the little bit of water from the edges. You can use the dish towel to hold the plastic to the curved edges too.
ZAGG sells a similar kit that includes a solution in a spray bottle. As well, you can also order the kit with a graphic pattern on it either from the shop or your own custom work, thereby giving you protection with a good grippy surface AND cool graphics to customize your tablet. Ill post a picture of mine later.

Ooh! This'll be really useful as I'm definitely interested in glass screen protectors, especially the so-called case-friendly ones. I saw this one by Zagg and I do wonder, with the $50 price tag, is it just as good as the cheaper ones on the market or is it better than those? Like do you get what you pay for, sorta thing.
Was it a wet install

I've never like Otterbox cases as I found them to be too bulky for my liking. My limit on thickness is basically the Spigen Slim Armor cares. Also, didn't think I'd like this glass protector anyway, with how all of the sensors are covered...
The Zagg one seems to be similar to the Otterbox one, in how the adhesive is only on the sides of the glass. I remember seeing other people here who got it have VERY mixed thoughts.

Hey, the key to the wet installs are soaking them with water.. The way I always do it ..and I get a perfect install everytime.. no dust no bubble..just pure perfection... Go into your bathrrom... clean a workspace large enough to work on.. IE your sink.. clean the sink..wash your hands very well.. First turn the shower on and make it nice and steamy hot.. your phone will love the romantic environment!! ( just kidding) after there is a lot of steam all the dust particles will be out of the air.. Now you can get to work!.. Clean your screan with the wet cleaning solution and make sure you have some of that dust removal stickers they give you.. I have also youse brand name scotch tape very gently to avoid the residue sticking.. you just want to make sure all the particles are off your screen.. make sure your phone is off.. Once your sure all the particles are off the screen.. douse your screen with the wet solution and douse the back of your new protector with it as well.. the wetter the better :good::good: after that's done line up your screen protector..use a point of reference.. like the sensors or the ear peace and the bottom. once its lined up ... start applying it slowly...don't be afraid to drag it.. since you pretty much submerged it .. should slide nice.. get a credit card and start gentlely pulling the water from the center out little by little.. done worry that its soaking wet and the air is full of steam in 1-3 days all that moisture will be gone gone gone.. the edges might need a little finess sing to get them to stick down.. if they are not sticking. Make sure its wet enough.. the curves like the wetness ...make sure all the air bubbles are out.. once your satisfied they are gone... let your screen dry.. it should take about 8-12 hours to really set and in 24 hours your safe to put a case on it... 48 hours all the little bubbles or mini halo effects should be gone.. always works for me !! hope this helped!

My Gpel was cut wrong and you can see the glue running up and down the sides.. real eye sore
After all these junk glass screen protectors. I have had a new one on my phone every 1-2 days. They have all been pretty bad. I found one on amazon that looks promising.
All the ones I have tried only use edge glue and I hate that because it causes gaps and loss of sensitivity and they also have a matrix pattern.
Whitestone Dome glass, screen protector (Can't link because of new user restriction/ just search "Whitestone s8+" on amazon)
It is on the price side at $45 but if it works good I think it's well worth it.
It uses a UV glue over the whole screen that you cure in place.
Mine arrives on Friday and I'll let you know what I think. Hopefully this is my last one.
Or if anyone else has tried it.
Edit:
I have just installed mine. Looks to have went perfectly. I have my case on it right now the Speck Presidio Grip. It looks like a tight fit but it's not interfering with it. Touch sensitivity and clarity is great. It is thick and has a lip on the edges so if you where using a skin or no case it would be an issue for you.

Ok, I'm intrigued. Please do report back.
I'm curious too, especially if it's case-friendly. It's useless to me otherwise, as I refuse to go caseless with this phone. Keep us posted~

Indeed I have. What does that have to do with removal, as only the installation is shown? A separate thread for the GS7E stated that it comes off just like a film protector. The only difference in the adhesive, to my understanding, is that I begins in liquid form to ensure no bubbles/gaps. Afterwards, it can be peeled away just as they can.

Please do share your experience. If this installs and cures as clearly/evenly as the videos would imply, with no impact to the screen sensitivity, then this product should be a hot commodity. They seem to state that removal of the glass/glue should leave no damage or residue that cannot be cleaned off easily. If that's the case, then I will also be giving this one a shot, pending other users like yourself have a positive experience.
I took a chance also and will get it Fri or so. I ordered the one from Verizon but after reading bad reviews I'm going to return it for a refund. I'll just stick to rubber screen protector if this one isn't right.
Ok, watched an install video, no audio or subtitles but I got the idea. Seems neat, got me interested so I subscribed to this thread to see the reviews of those who purchased. May finally be what we need. But I would say we need someone to install just to show the removal process and see if there are any problems with removal, like if the adhesive is tough to remove after the glass has been removed or if it stays with the TGSP. Anyone purchase two for that purpose?

Go watch either of the drop videos that Whitestone has on YouTube. Both show the removal about halfway through.
Seems as easy, maybe easier than a film. No residue/damage.
Can't wait for someone to confirm this. Looks way perfect on video.

I've looked through the Korean forums and saw many reviews on this product. While some say it's perfect, some say there are problems. For example, if you happen to leak the liquid adhesive on your speaker or any other buttons, it breaks them. Also it seems that it's very hard to remove the leaks. Even after the success of putting it on, I've seen pictures of it not being glued on perfectly or it lifts. There are comments saying that it's not worth 45 dollars to break the $850 device. But like I said, if you follow the instructions and had no problems attaching it, it seems like a promising screen protector.

FYI...your link is broken.
U Droid Mania on Youtube posted a vid on this protector. He only talked about installation, as it's a 2 part video. Part 2 will be coming soon~
Part 1 here: [x]
You're struggles are over! I have been looking for the best screen protector for edge devices and I had to tell everyone. No more touch sensitivity issues, no pressing harder, no more bouncing screen, and no more popping off screen protectors. The Whitestone Dome Glass Screen protector is the best! I made an install tutorial because the worst part is installing it. It's complicated, but watch my video for tips and tricks and you will be an expert in no time:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RaNK59tMsBQ
Warning: As seen in the video at the 10:26 mark it is very important as a beginner that you make sure the surface is level (Use a physical bubble level and have business cards nearby) and leave the alignment bars (Plastic L Shapes) on during the curing process with the UV light, otherwise the screen protector may slide off of the phone. I was doing this for a friend at his house with the table he had, therefor as you saw at the 10:26 mark it began to slide away. Me doing so many installations I was use to this sort of thing happening, and quickly corrected the issue. I find the alignment bars to get in my way when moving the screen to the most case friendly position. However when I started out I did use these alignment bars, think of them as training wheels. Just be sure when you manually align the screen protector that the alignment bars are not lifting out of their 3 bumps and that they are not lifting your screen. Make sure your surface is level otherwise the adhesive could pour over the edges of the phone. Business cards help immensely, along with not working on installation in the middle of a 2 piece table.
Review
Before I continue please keep the "It's too expensive" posts out of here. Other glass screen protectors, Otterbox, Zagg, ect are the same price. You are paying $45 to protect a $800+ phone. Insurance is a $200 deductible. So it's not expensive compared to paying a deductible. You also get an added bonus... The UV light can be used by women or given to women as a gift to dry their nails. Oh you're a guy and have no use for it? Ever had a car windshield chip?
You can get a repair kit and use the UV light to dry the resin, ever paint? UV light to dry the paint, UV light to dry glue, UV light to tan your wedding ring finger... Just kidding don't do that last one. Anyway now that I got that out of the way I came from a S7 Edge and my struggles to find the perfect screen protector were very difficult. I am extremely OCD with my phones and worried so much about cracking the screen. I used the Otterbox Defender after trying screen protector, after screen protector, and after getting frustrated with the touch screen sensitivity issues with the Otterbox Defender due to the built in plastic screen protector and dealing with dirt and easy scratches, I went back to my Note 4. Then the S8 came out and I again attempted to go to an edge phone, and after purchasing the Whitestone screen protector I will say it's made the phone feel just like I never had a screen protector at all. I no longer have a screen protector that for some silly reason only had glue around the edges which made the protector springy/bouncy on every touch. Not to mention that most times the protector would pop off due to lack of glue. This isn't a problem with the Whitestone due to the fully adhesive protector. There's no touch screen sensitivity issues and it feels like I am touching a naked screen. Plus my edge features actually work.
Q&A
Q: What cases work with it?
A: Otterbox Symmetry and Commuter, defenders do not work. I haven't had any other case tests, I am about to purchase the Mophie battery case and test it out. If you have any cases that work well, please let me know so I can get a compatibility list going
Confirmed List
Commuter

Q: Can I put a case on after installation?
A: No you need to wait 24 hours for curing.
Q: Can I use the phone after installation?
A: You will need to wait 1 hour.
Q: How long should I set aside time for install?
A: If you have never done it be prepared for around 1 hour plus the 1 hour wait after before you can use your phone
Q: Do you know if there is a warranty on the product?
A: I'm not sure, I couldn't find anywhere on there for warranty info. I know I received a cracked one and ended up having to purchase another one, file a claim on Amazon, and send the cracked one back.
Here's a review of the Mophie case with the Whitestone:
I'm also using the whitestone dome.
I highly recommend it.
It won't take an hour to install it, but DO take your time.
Also, when it's installed and cured, when you use the LAST alcohol wipe, scrub the side of the phone too! I had a little leakage and it's oily and nasty.

Yea I covered that in the video as well. It smells really strong so I would def use the wipe on the entire phone.
I'm also using the Whitestone. It's seriously the best solution. It's like $45, but that's the only screen protector you will need to buy. I've wasted more than $45 trying out different, crappier screen protectors. Should have just gone with Whitestone to start with.
Hello TheGame7, this is Whitestone.
Thank you so much for taking interest in our product and making such detailed instructional video for installing the Dome glass! Your video was exceptional, the tips and tricks you covered were very clear and precise. We were pleasantly surprised. As you mentioned in the video, we have made modifications to our installing procedure and the tools as well since the initial launch. The only thing we would like to point out is that you should NOT remove the align bars (the plastic things) before curing the adhesive. Experienced people such as yourself will have no problem manually aligning the glass, but some people may panic or completely butcher the installation if they see the glass slipping away. Also, if the glass moves towards the speaker, the adhesive may flow into the speaker or buttons (if applicable). It will not damage or break the device, but it could result in discomfort while using the device.
If you have any questions or feedback that you would like to give us please do so!
Thank you

For sure. I learned this lesson the hard way with my Galaxy S7. I am just thankful that Whitestone actually noticed how upset everyone was with the curved edge screen protector market.

Wow I can say I am pleasantly surprised. I didn't think that I would catch the attention of Whitestone themselves. Absolutely brilliant idea with the screen protector I must say! I really appreciate the positive feedback and will make note of your feedback in the topic and video! I do typically remove the alignment bars pre-cure as they get in my way for aligning below the camera. They tend to lift up and sometimes lift the screen protector up while I adjust towards the edge of the camera. My video is the perfect example of making sure you have a level surface and I will make a note in the video and in this topic that newer purchasers of Whitestone will want to have a physical bubble level nearby to complete the task or potentially have level issues as shown in the video or to be sure and keep the alignment bars installed and make sure to keep an eye on the edges for any possible lifting.
took me only 10 minutes to install and have been using for 2 weeks now. no problems at all. This is the best tempered glass protector out there
Thanks for the tips and video !
Ordered one
Does the glue leave any residue if for whatever reason you need to remove the screen protector?

Hello all,
I order this screen protect after watching the video (thank you for the great video). I would have to say this is one of the best screen protectors that I have personal used.
After installing the screen protector and admiring the sexynes i decided to purchase a clear case from Spigen Ultra Hybrid - Crystal . After one day of use I notice that the screen had lifted on the bottom left ??? and now I have a line of air bubbles.
Does anyone have any suggestion on a clear case to use with this screen protector. I thought the video suggested this one to work but probably I did something wrong.
Any suggestions on what clear case to use (please no thin clear case)
Or how can I fix the air bubbles....
???

Yes, it's needed to cure the glue.

How do I go about buying only the glass?
I've had a whitestone on my phone for about 2 months now. Probably the best glass protector for curved screens. I hope they expand to more brands and models that have curved displays since it's the only one that works properly.

Hello monkey39, this is Whitestone.
There should be no glue left behind when removing the screen protector.
But if there are some residue, it can easily be removed with alcohol swab.
If you have any more questions or feedback, just reply here.
Thank you.

Hey, thanks for the reply! And, since you offered , another question: where can I buy one for the Galaxy S8 plus? I was looking on Amazon today, but could only find the one for the S8 - does this one fit both the S8 and S8 plus? https://goo.gl/K47KFc

Dont get a glass protector, they dont hold proprely, even the ones that get glued to the screen with uv glue.
Get the official samsung plastic protector, you get two for 12 bucks and they are pretty decent.

I'm using Spigen Tempered GLAStR and the Incipio Dualpro case - No issues with either - Spigen stays on and no issues with dust getting underneath (some have reported all kinds of issues with adhesion and dust) - But I suspect that they didn't prepare the surface properly before installing the screen protector... And it fits perfectly with the Dualpro.

Just be patient. I find bathroom after shower us the best place to apply the screen protector. Dust particles are settled after shower. After you apply the front of the screen, wait about 10 minutes then start working on the sides. Alternatively, you can use a hair dryer at a low heat setting. Good luck.
One more thing, unlike other protectors, this one has a total of three 'layers'
1.peel off #1, discard the layer with#2 sticker (Make sure you are discarding the frosted layer and not the clear one with glue side. I noticed that Sticker numbers are not consistent).
2. Spray on the glue side, place on the phone, work out bubbles, no worries about attaching the sides as they wont attach
3. Wait 5-10 minutes. Now carefully, hold#1 sticker and peel off the top layer. . A thin transparent layer will remain attached to phone. Now atrach the sides.
4.Let the phone sit overnight, you will have crystal clear screen protector in the morning.
Hope this helps.

Yes, it does take about 24-48 hours to clear up the bubbles and rainbow effect. Was there any reason that you could not squeeze out the bubbles during installation? Just curious. I normally add a drop of soap in the spray bottle and spray on the protector and the phone screen (just a mist). You get more control in adjusting the and squeezing the bubbles out.
I am glad you got it installed and it should be all good in a day or so. Take care.
