Info and upgrade's!!!!
For more info on Radio Upgrades and roms please visit Modaco's website or just follow the links posted below thank you!!!
Thanks Modaco!!!
ENSURE YOU DO A NANDROID BACKUP SO YOU CAN 'ROLL BACK' IF REQUIRED!
A 'wipe' is MANDATORY when installing this ROM and you MUST do this BEFORE applying the update zip (as the update zip puts files on the data partition)! I also recommend you install the latest radio from my 'update zips' topic if you have not done so.
Please note that first boot may take a little while, especially if you have a lot of apps on your A2SD partition. Be patient! If you want a real clean start or you have issues with your existing A2SD installed apps when you boot, you need to wipe your EXT3 partition on SD too by executing 'adb shell rm -r /system/sd/app', 'adb shell rm -r /system/sd/app-private' and 'adb shell reboot'
The ROM is in an update.zip format for installation via the custom recovery image HERE , I also recommend installing the latest radio (63.18.55.06EU_6.35.06.18 at time of writing). As always, do a Nandroid backup before you do anything... just in case! LATEST RADIO
For the complete newbies, these are the steps you need to take with a 'virgin' Hero:
- Download the patched recovery image linked above and install as detailed in that post
- Download this custom ROM, and copy it to your SD card
- Enter the recovery image (if you're not in it already) by powering on while pressing 'home'
- Select 'nandroid backup' from the menu to do a backup
- If you copied the custom rom as update.zip, select 'apply sdcard:update.zip', else select the option below.
- all done
If you would like to remove parts of the ROM that you do not use, see this post. HERE
Feedback / feature requests welcome!
Wow, gonna try this.
Is it necessary to wipe when coming of Modaco 2.2?

I tried The Rom.. Unfortunately, all the same problems exist.
1>search in browser in landscape mode, keyboard bounces.
2>sms delivery report time shows 7 mins. later than actual.
3>Advanced task manager does not show memory inso and system tab force closes (the 3rd problem is what i dont like),
I'm quite sure there is some problem in these modified roms(even the modaco one, Ive tried them all) because when i install the rooted unmodified rom from modaco the 3rd problem is solved it works fine(not that i really need this app. its just that some where in the back of my head i feel something is not right in the rom that causes this, which might later on be a problem with some other apps also). and i also added a2sd later on which worked fine. and the 1st and 2nd problem exists in all the roms(modified, unmodified, rooted, and unrooted stock roms). if you could please solve the 3rd problem it would be gr8.
I'm very keen to try this rom...
Could anyone explain how to make the 3 partitions which are required.
Just to confirm: a partitioned sd card is not optional for this rom? When fiddling with the modaco Rom I never bothered.

Good release Drizzy, will try it as soon as I get home!
What's in your opinion better than in MoDaCos Rom 2.2, Drizzy?
Why should I flash yours instead of?
what's this "2.86.110.6 un-released build"? A new update coming up?
Interesting change of style to the notifications area - not sure if I like it or not!
Also the lock screen - how did you manage to edit it?

How about Camera + Camcorder??? is these work or not?
very interesting, thank you for the contribution.
I might actually take a look at this.. all that is needed to "dissect" this would be the standard Android SDK, correct?
EDIT: re-read the post.. dev-tools included. Thank you
Also for the last guy, it's not a stable ROM. It's a port that needs to be ported, so to speak.
This ROM is already leaked and also ported to HD2.
The Camera doesn't work and some others.......

I know this, but it's hard to find some sources. This is the ORIGINAL ROM and not a ROM which could flashed and used on HD2.
Update with GB Vision 2.3.3
Would like top take the opportunity to Hijack this thread (Kidding) and ask how to port a rom for usage on HD2. I managed to the kitchen for customize ready made HD2 Roms but never got to know how to port a Rom from another device to HD2 (is it just the kernel change or something else). I did search but surely didn't utilize correct search terms thus was unable to find resources and information so would highly appreciate it if someone guided me to info on how to accomplish that.
OUTDATED!!
This is just a set of links and instructions

Can I install these ROMs in the GT-S5360B (Brazilian Galaxy Y)?
WOOOWW.... i think bancet is the only custom ROM for galaxy y, two weeks ago i used bancet and no problem at all, no SD card error, but few days ago i switch my ROM to stock DXKK4 (Philippines ver.) and upgrade it to DXKL3.... (if i use Indonesia ver. i only get DXKL2).... so far it's work fine, smoother than my first stock ROM (i think it's DXKJ3)...
hmmmm..... maybe i will try InFected ROM first....

Please note that this build its ported from Froyo Cream Sandvich from Xda-HTC-Dream-G1 development and i call help me that FRX7.1
So this is Froyo Cream Sandvich with My and FRX7.1 Fixes.
Froyo Cream Sandvich found at here ( plus screenshots ) and FRX7.1 found at Android development thread on Blackstone section.
This build it has ICS themes and look really nice, super fastes, stable, games works.

VIDEO TUTORIAL FOR SDCARD SETUP : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUMENUYp3Xc&feature=player_embedded
Thanks to aloysius987 who is created!
Here is how you should use your SD (You can use Minitool partition wizard or EASEUS Partition master):
Remember you must do the partitions on this order!
A FAT32 partition with any name you like and with the rest of the space avaiable on the SD
A EXT2 partition named system with 250 MB
A EXT2 partition named data with 800 MB
Lastly, another EXT2 partition named cache with 100 MB
All partitions are primary!
Thanks to mfsr98!
Here is it how i use my sdcard 4GB:
system - 250
data - 800
cache - 100
Fat32 - rest
1- Put npkboot your sdcard root | Here you found it the latest all the time : http://www.mediafire.com/#ajthfkgjjejh1
2- put update-IceFroyo-VX-zip to your sdcard root
3- Run haret, press volume down ( once, not pushing! ) ( enter recovery ) / vol:up,down,up { Power button enable } /
4- Format : system, cache, data partition in mount & storage / Not formatting to SDcard /
5- Install this build ( standard: format all partition to ext3 whit installation procedure )
6- reboot run haret again and wait.

Excellent work as usual. I have a question. You mention Google play is updated. Exactly how is it updated, and can it continue to get upgraded by Google, the play store, not the apps within it is what I'm referring to.

I'm on .18 with root and extended power menu, i have several questions..
1. Do i have to factory wipe to update to .20?
2. If I flash .20 downloaded from Asus site which means I need to push TWRP again right?

Hi !
Factory-reset not required ! ( will be enough wipe cache and dalvik-cache ! )
In the future, I will remove the boot loader and recovery from Asus blob files , to not having to re-install TWRP/CWM recovery ! :good:
thanks very much!
This worked well but there's something I want to ask.... if i wipe dalvik cache and cache ONCE, every time i reboot it will say "Android is upgrading" . Does anyone knows why? ( This happens all the time when i use stock or stock based roms, it doesn't happen if I use cyanogenmod.)

Solid work Surdu! Followed your instructions and everything just worked perfectly.
Appreciate you adding the Reboot/Recovery menu too, I use that a lot.
Cheers!

Power menu mod works great.
