Has anybody used Wallet at Best Buy successfully? Twice I've failed. It says sent, but then informs me that my payment might not have been successful. It worked fine at CVS.
Rabble rabble rabble.
I work at best buy and used Google wallet to buy snacks and drinks all the time...so it definitely works at my store

You might not be holding the phone next to the reader long enough. I've noticed that if I don't hold it there for a couple seconds after the phone says payment sent, it will fail.
Just tried it at a Chevron and a Macy's and it wouldn't work at either place. I literally place the phone on the pay pass thing and it says sent. It stays at the sent screen for a little while and then the next screen says something like Reader detected, last tap may not have been successful, ask cashier if transaction is finished. Both times nothing happened after that. I lift the phone away and try again and it's the same thing. At CVS literally all I did was tap it and it said it was complete and brought me to the receipt page.

so to clarify, your transaction was successful at cvs? i ask because I tried GW at 2 different 7-11s and a cvs and got the same errors you did (payment sent, followed by last tap may not have been successful)

Completely successful at CVS. Held my phone to the reader and entered my pin. It said sent, then went to the receipt page. All in a few seconds. Everywhere else it does what I mentioned.
Rabble rabble rabble.
I've used GW at McDonald's twice and CVS once without any problems, but this makes me want to go to BestBuy and try it. If I do stop in to grab something today, I'll come back and report what I find.
I might run in there as well and try to buy something if there isn't a line and I have a patient cashier. I want to get it figured out. There's no reason it shouldn't be working.
Rabble rabble rabble.
I had a problem at CVS, as well. Didn't want to look like an idiot trying to use my phone to pay, so I just got out my credit card instead. Waiting to go someplace (Shop Rite, perhaps) that has self-checkout so no one sees me struggling
Worked just fine at my Best Buy Mobile.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
I loaded fifty bucks onto my account, and now I can't find anywhere to use it. First world problems. The dude at Best Buy just now said he thought the terminal might be broken. But it isn't the only place I've run into the issue, as mentioned earlier.
Rabble rabble rabble.
I went to Best Buy and bought some nose hair trimmers using GW and it went through just fine.
Here is a something to note for people that will be using the Citi MasterCard on GW. The day I got my GW on my SGN, I applied for a Citi MasterCard and until it came in, I used the prepaid gift card that come with GW. I never re-loaded it, so I have nothing to report on it, but something that I do find interesting that others might also is that if you used the prepaid card, it showed where you used it and how much you spent, but on the Citi card, it shows nothing.

Inside the transaction, it says "PayPass merchant - Merchant name is not available for Citi transactions. To view merchant name, see your paper receipt or credit card statement." and "Amount unavailable - Payment amount not available for Citi transactions. To view payment amount, see your paper receipt or credit card statement." but shows the date, time and address of where you bought something. Just an FYI for those of you that care.
Even with the prepaid $10 the merchant name didn't show up for some time for me.

As far as I know this only affects users who do not yet have a pre-paid card or are trying to re-add their pre-paid card after wiping their device (i.e. me). If your pre-paid card is already active you should not have any issues using it.
In my opinion this issue has been blown way out of proportion...
Oh I agree completely. Its still at least as secure as my actual wallet. In my case more so, as I have a pin on my phone, and of course GW too. Those along with Cerberus to find/wipe as needed I feel as safe as can be expected.
I'll try to use it today when I leave the gym. There's a CVS right next door that has Paypass.
The rumors I've been reading suggest that as long as you have funds remaining on your Prepaid Card you can continue to use it as usual - but I don't think the balance will update after a transaction due to the whole "cannot contact bank" message in your screenshot. When you need to top up the card (which you'll only know is out of funds when it gets declined, I suppose), you'll be out of luck.
Don't reset or you won't be able to add it back.. That's the boat im in now essentially breaks wallet for me now since I don't use citi... wish they would fix it already
According to Money Network support they are supposed to have this feature back up and working in the next day or two.
Yea I used it 2/9 and I had the transaction location along with the deduction from my prepaid amount available. It looks like this only affects new activations. Everything seems to be working fine for me.
If there is still a balance left on it then u can use the balance amount but u cannot add anymore funds to it.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
I can confirm that I can still purchase things, the balance updates, and I can even see the last 4 of the prepaid card (user id).

I can confirm that I can not purchase anything since I can't connect to the money network.. I have $28 loaded, still getting declined.
Not only is mine working again, I was just able to add funds to my card.

For this hack to even work, someone needs your phone. If my phone is lost or stolen, Google wallet would be the least of my concern. My saved passwords on my browser would be 100x worse than this hack

I've been hearing both here and from calling Money Network that it should be resolved by Friday or Monday. I don't know if you'll have to call to get your card reprovisioned (would make sense to me, since it's a "security" issue) or if it will just start working on its own.
There are some issues that they lost their phone. Some of phones cannot be tracked. Our phone (GALAXY Y) has a GPS feature which can be track. Follow the steps below:
1. Go to Setting. Open Location and Security.

2. Check Use GPS Satellites (May consume a little battery )
3. Scroll down, You will see Remote Controls. It will ask you to register. Complete the registration.
4. After the registration. Go to www.samsungdive.com and log-in.
5. After you log-in. You can now track you're mobile!
(Note: You can control your phone like wiping data, ringing mobile and more! Tracking may take a while depending on you're internet connection )
You forgot to mention that you will have to create a Samsung account for that
this doesn't works efficiently on my Galaxy Y connected in same WIFI network as my PC good internet speed yet this website doesn't detects or do anything on my phone
or you can just use lookout mobile
Will this work in a unit where wipe data has been done?

I use "Where's My droid?" app for this.
I think for apps like these if you can pay, the best is where's my droid. Otherwise stick with Avast. Avast has some nifty root only features. Only way to get rid of it if rooted is to flash a new rom.

Not true man, if the phone is linked to your Samsung account (ie: registered) it will work. I have flashed my phone many times and wiped data many times and it still works, I just tested it now.
forgive me if I am misunderstanding you.
Oh? I meant if it was stolen and someone flashed a new rom over it. If you do that your Samsung account will have to be added again. And if it really is stolen, what thief would add your samsung account again just for the phone to be tracked? XD

Guys, i will tell you my story about losing this phone. This is true story guys
One day, we had a P.E subject in our school, then, the pocket of our pants is too short, then i put my cell phone on it, on the time that i will go home, i ride on a jeepney, i have been chit-chatting to my friend , then, when i arrived, we go to our house , then i'm opening my door, and i'm so excited to charge my phone, i put my hand on my pocket, i was shocked! the phone was gone missing!, i immediately pray and ride to a bike (about 30km to find the jeepney i rode but i forgot the jeepney and the plate number) i had failed to search for it. my parents was so disappointed to me, after that day. I remembered that i created an account on samsungdive.com using my phone. Then, i located it! I was so happy that my phone was found! Then after a day, my mom took it for me, she said that she found it in zone 3 without some1 holding it, i think the one who took it was freaked out because i rung the mobile. Yes, i had my cellphone now, but the sim card was gone, tsk . I just requested to the attorney to make me affidavit of loss for 50 pesos and 99pesos for the recovery of the sim card number
let's just pray that the one who took it don't know how to flash or wipe data. hahaha

I had mention it, read number 3. And it works for me 100%
just activate sim change alert in ur phone. and when anyone change the sim then u know his no. after u complain to police. but if he flash the rom or reset to factory default then it was impossible to find your phone
SMS
Yeah, i can use that sim change alert. but i don't want.

I am so glad that i didn't lose my phone, i was so scared that day, and that day, my mom and dad was so very angry to me, i had it as a gift for being first honor in the class, last year, i was second year high school, my parents told me that they will never buy me a phone again, they said that i was so careless, i was so angry to whom took it, i'm glad that our phone has a gps feature. That's why, i tracked the phone
I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S II T989 off of craigslist. It was described as Brand New, and came with box and all original accessories, etc. Still had screen protectors and everything on it, so i assumed i would have no problems. I am using AT&T and wanting to unlock it so that i wouldn't have to switch carriers. I paid a pretty reputable website 25$ for the unlock code, which i received and entered as directed.
I attempted to enter my SIM and i get an invalid SIM message. I called Samsung to figure it out and they had me send them the phone. They received it and inspected it to ensure nothing was wrong. They then tested the IMEI which came back as a black-listed phone, but would not disclose the reason.
So t-mobile will offer me no help what so ever, nor will samsung. I try calling the *#7465625# number to test if the phone is unlocked, but i get an error message stating "The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly" and i have only one option which is force quit. I used the factory reset option a couple times to see if this helped at all, and got nothing.
I only have experience with iphones, so i really know nothing about the android OS. I've heard a lot about "rooting" and such for the unlock but it's like a whole different language for me. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. This phone has just been sitting in my drawer for the past month because i have absolutely no idea what to do.
Sounds to me like you may have bought a phone that someone perhaps filled an insurance claim on. I know I had a phone taken once and filed a claim on it and got a new one, eventually got the old one back and when a friend took it in it was taken on the spot. This may or may not be the case.
Yup sounds like someone bought a phone, Reported it lost,Kept the replacement, and sold you the stolen one. The same thing happened to me about a year ago with a HTC G2 from craigslist. You could try rooting (really not as scary as it seems) putting a new ROM then try to unlock again
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
That is what i'm assuming the case is. I've heard of friends and such running into the problem, but never thought i would fall victim to it.
Do you know where i might be able to find a rooting guide for a complete noob like myself? Step by step in depth kind of stuff? Would the fact that the phone is blacklisted cause me to get the error i'm getting whenever i try to test the unlock? Is it possible to unlock the phone for another GSM carrier even though it is blacklisted with t-mobile.
Explore all the options of getting your money back. If no good, you can always try to get someone to chqnge the imei for you, beware tho, its same illegal as changing vin plate on a car. Theoretically noone will help you, but practically, there are plenty shops selling nintendo cardridges with 100 original games in one...

You cannot ask on here how to fix this problem. It is against the rules, and illegal. This thread will be closed.. Just saying.
Ebay it with bad efs in the title, sell for parts, will probably get a coupe hundred for it. Don't buy a phone off frauds list unless you meet them at the retail store and have the number ran. At least then if they report it stolen you have some record of the transaction and may be able to get it UN black listed. Crappy situation that is for sure.

I bought my N8 10 days ago and immeditely applied for the Google Play Store credit - I haven't received the confirmation email either. I have called 3 times and written to Samsung Support from their Facebook page several times. I've received the SD card and the Gear Fit 2. I'm going to give this a go with the exchange receipt and see if it flies.
I don't see where a Gear VR was ever offered with the N7. Does anyone have a link? I only see the SD card or Fit.
Anyway for international phones, such as the FD Duos version, to get a gift? I tried once back before the recall and it didn't except my IMEI number.

Photoshopping the receipt is a big nono to me. That is morally wrong with it. But enjoy it. We only get a 128 GB SD card if you pre-ordered it. If we are lucky, the phone will become for sale at the end of November. Perhaps we get a free fire extuingisher with it.

As one of the millions who received a recalled Note 7, I was curious if I could somehow score a second promotional item with my replacement device. My first prize, the 256gb SD card, arrived within a couple of weeks. Upon receiving my replacement Note 7 yesterday I went to the Samsung Promotions page and entered my new IMEI and WiFi MAC address. Then there's the required upload of the receipt of purchase. At this step I feared that Samsung may catch me double dipping if I submitted the same receipt, as T-Mobile does not give a new one with the swapped unit. As a T-Mobile customer, this paperwork is called the Jump On Demand EIP finance contract. I imported my PDF contract(TMO emailed to me with the original unit) in Photoshop and changed the date to yesterday's date, then switched a few digits of the contract number. Lo and behold this worked! Now I get a GearVR too!
Enjoy, my fellow nerds.

The promotion is not over, it is valid till 10/9.
I did this with my replacement Note 7 using the PDF EIP receipt from T-mobile. I didn't Photoshop anything and included the new IMEI and selected "other" for phone instead of S7/Edge.
If you look in the terms and conditions it mentions that the note 7 is included in this promotion. Perhaps they didn't want to highlight this fact in the promotion due to the recall? Anyway it shows that my claim is processed successfully!

Checked the website using the claim code they issued me and it says approved waiting for shipping. Thanks to the OP for the heads up. This takes the sting out of all the running around they have put me through. I used my exchange receipt, no Photoshop.
