If I change my screens lcd density to 280 in rom toolbox will it have any negative effects? Don't wanna break my screen or anything lol.
Cheers
280 will make it look bigger and uglier. Lower makes everything look smaller so more fits so like a larger res, whereas higher makes everything bigger. This is mine at 210

It can interfere with Wifi Calling.... but there is a work-around somewhere... search a bit and I'm sure you'll find it.
Changing the LCD density will also cause Market compatibility issues. Best to leave it at the default 240.

Playing with these settings won't do any damage. I have heard about the market issue but I've never had a problem. Try it and see, make a backup beforehand if your worried.

Do you think there's something missing? I'm not sure, to me it looks a little "All over the place" I've been configuring the LCD Density by editing the build.prop and found 192 density is quite sweet & Launcher Pro works well with it.
But I'm wondering if I could get some advise on what to do with the rest of the free space on my home page!
I'm one of those people who likes everything in one place (Apps, games etc.)
Any feedback would be appreciated.
music player widget maybe?
I also like to have a calendar widget on my homepage.
And why is your game folder floating around ?
I've moved it now. Made an "Apps" folder as well so it suits the homepage.
Looks good now anyway. Will post a screenshot when I can
Right, after a little customizing I have come up with the attached image. What do you think?

yep me want one how ?
I've changed the LCD density on my phone recently, and everything seems OK except for the HTC Sense 3 lockscreen, which doesn't seem to have scaled properly.

I was wondering if anyone here knew of anything I can do to get it to scale properly
Any help would be appreciated!
I think you would need to use the tools available to re jig the screen size for the lockscreen (M100 or whatever it is called), I had this problem with the "Lense" style on CM7 when i changed to 180

I've been searching around for tools like that, but can't find any! Searching for M100 doesn't come up with anything
I think its an M10 tool that requires a decent set of programming knowledge (or at least it did when I last heard of it)

Very Very dangerous....from the android apps that can change screen dpi about 40% of them have caused ALOT of problems.
You must do a full nandroid back up before you change your dpi because they cause bootloops, not booting at all. Soft bricking as-well.
Anyway whats the point in dpi changer

Nah mine work without problem with proper setting, but what I'm affraid is hardware problem like deadpixel.
Well I don't like things appear big in screen so I want to make it smaller.
Never use lcd modder apps, as it will cause bootloop. Use proper apps and it won't bootloop

I've changed the System.UI dpi to 530 with App Settings (Xposed module) and it works great. The issue I'm having is that that Knock On wallpaper is not full screen anymore. Anyone have an idea how to fix this? Also, any way to get rid of the white square?

This might be a little late but as far as the white brackets, I use G3 Tweaksbox (you can get it here or on the play store) and it has an option to remove them. There's a lot of other tweaks too, especially if you pay for the full version. Hope this helps!
Thanks, used G3 Tweakbox and its an awesome app. Couldn't fix the dpi though, so just set it to default.
Same problem I'm having. I'm not using knock code but the lockscreen shows a small version like that for a second after turning the screen on and then goes to normal. Using 530 dpi also.

I set my DPI to 530 using Texdroider_DPI app not Xposed and don't have this problem... Most likely just an effect from it being through Xposed.

Sorry to ask about screen resolution problem. I found some APP display unfit with the inner screen. For example, instagram cannot display the whole picture. Or the APP will display very large and ugly.
I had try to amend the DPI to 850 in developer mode, or amended by adb shell wm size 2400x3840. But it doesn't help at all.
May I ask any method to fix the screen unfit problem? Or only can be fixed by the APP developer?

use the customize app aspect ratios option. It can be found in Settings-advanced features-labs.

It seems like that only method is to set the APP to 16:9, but it will become a little ugly under the inner screen...

I get this when I click on installation in the aspect ratio settings. Change to full screen and it will work better.
