Anyone used these? I'm about to pick up an EPIC 4G TOUCH tomorrow and wanted to know if these batteries were any good?

They all have universal battery slots. So it should work in the at&t version.

I got them from Ebay and they work well. I've had them for a little over a month and they seem to last just as long as the original batteries. No more/no less. I love the wall charger. It's way nice.
I have these as well. They are great. I get about an hour or so more than the standard battery. I am very happy with these batteries.
I found some positive posts about these batteries on the Evo 3d threads.
The ebay posts seem pretty positive as well and they are a little cheaper than Amazon.
I might pull the trigger on them as well.
I am waiting to receive mine now.

I have them and they work just as good as the battery that came with the phone. Got mine on amazon for $30 (2 batteries and wall charger). Try coupon code: OFF10 and see if it still works.

I had a customer come in with one for an evo and if that is any indication of the quality I would steer clear of them. Customer stated it was less than a week old and after cadex testing it, it had failed 4/5 tests ran.
I purchased them off amazon. 30 for two 2000mah and wall charger. Not a bad deal but battery life is no better compared to the 1800 stock battery. I've only had them for a week and I'm starting to question their longevity. Seems like battery life is getting shorter and shorter. I didn't think they were going to be oem samsung but I don't recall the website saying that they are made by chichitec and from the appearance of the battery they try to mimic samsung pretty closely. Bottomline I don't think it's worth the 30.

I got two from Amazon today, looks thinner than the Samsung OEM one, also pulled the sticker and it says 1700 on the back, if it is weaker than the stock one it goes back to Amazon for sure
I have them, honestly to notice you would have to really crunch your numbers. It would only provide a 10% diff
However here is a picture of what it says under the battery

Mine too, although I am not returning them. Even if they are only 1700 mah, there are two of them plus the wall charger with usb port for 35 bucks. Still a great deal.
I peeled off the sticker too and revealed the same thing. Pretty sure it's 1700 mah. I'm disappointed with the purchase partly due to false advertising and also because the charger seems to be poor quality, it works so far though.

Actually, the wall charger seems better than the crappy Samsung one I bought for my og epic for $50 retail. It still works but the pins sometimes have to be repositioned forward with a knife to get contact. I can't see that being a problem with this one

Deal Extreme
I'd actually bought three replacement batteries from DealExtreme [www.DX.com], which is some vendor shipping out of Hong Kong, each marked around $4 a pop, and they've done their jobs. It claimed to have a capacity of 1800mAh like the stock Samsung ones but actually turned out to be 1300mAh (as the label-peeling revealed)...and I discovered this like a year after using them (roughly cycling an avg of 2.5 batteries per day, with moderate-vigorous use; no mobile gaming).
So looking at the so-called "2000mAh," though in reality 1700mAh, ain't so bad. I'm actually grateful to be getting that much for around $15 each; considering the aforementioned, who cares if they lied? (unless this is somehow a double-layered lie..!). Still a deal to me since an OEM 1800mAh for the Epic Touch is closer to $30 each...I'm essentially getting them 50% off @ a meh 100mAh less :good:

Went to the corproate Verizon store in my area and got a 2750mAh battery for 26.50 after tax. He said all the Verizon stores were having a half off sale on 4g batteries.
Just to confirm, this is the indeed the case. I visited one in the Dallas, TX area and it was half off, apparently this is for ALL 4G devices... and in store only.
I received my VZN T'Bolt last week and it came with both a standard and extended battery in the package, but I didn't order two batteries. Anyone else get two? Anyway, the extended battery seems to last about 2X as long as the standard, which you might expect by its rating, but the extra weight and size will force me to use the standard battery most of the time, as I typically plug into the computer every few hours.
They have been half off for a good while now. I bought mine a few weeks back when they first went on sale.
are they still half off? and how much heavier is the phone? i flash roms and switch it up all the time, and i realized after using sense 3.0 for so long on my thunderbolt... i just want it next to plain jane functionality, just less battery drainage. seems to be the case now, killasense 3.2 is great!
i always wanted the extended battery, but i g2 do some research on a good case that'll fit it. any recommendations?

So I've seen a couple of eBay auctions for 3800mAh GNex batteries. I can't post the URLs here as links because I'm a too new here ( :-( ).
The price is right and the promise of 2x the rather modest battery life of the 1750mAh battery in my GSM GNex is hard to resist.
What does everyone think?
It will double the thickness of your Nexus, and has a cheap (and probably) non-ergonomic back cover.
I wouldn't it get as it has no NFC (Near Field Communication) antenna in it. Also, most of those cheap Ebay batteries are not rated as advertised.
Try it and get back to us. I'm trying the 2300 and 1900 mah GSM cheapo batteries from ebay and getting back to the community afterwards

Yes - that's one of them. Do a search for i9250 3800 and you'll be able to find the other.
Admittedly the back case doesn't look as nice as the stock one, but what I'm really worried about is my phone exploding in my pocket and injuring me. Or at least destroying my $600 phone.
This manufacturer has had a lot of similar units for various phone models.
I had been using a version for the Samsung Infuse 4G with no issues for 4 months or so, so I would expect the same for the Galaxy Nexus variant.
One thing to keep in mind however: these batteries DO NOT have the NFC Antenna in them, so you will not be able to use Google Wallet or the Android Beam options.
These batteries are actually are from a Droid Charge. I read it one galaxy nexus and i have tested it myself. There are some Droid Charge 3800mAh battery with good reviews you. But you still will need a back cover and will have NFC.

$11.89 for cover & battery seems fair for 3,800 mAh:

Just be aware that all batteries are not created equal, especially from china. Surefire batteries, specifically 18950 batteries used in high end flashlights. They just put a new shrinkwrap and recharge old batteries. Good or bad, it dont matter at least they look new. They advertise 3000mah, youd be lucky to get 2 of 10 that are 2000mah.

Well, given the price, I'd have to say it's going to suck, but then again - it's not that much money to try it - if you really need something that huge.
I would try it, but I'd rather wait for a package that comes with a case. In the end it's a $725 device that I don't want ding'd.
After trying a lot of these batteries on most of my phones over the years, I say that if it aint sold by the phone manufacturers, save your time and money.

Yeah, I know what you mean about multiple battery craziness lol. I have two generic batteries for my Thunderbolt AND a huge Seidio extended battery along with my OEM. The generics work just as well as the OEM.
Generally any battery for your smart phone under $40.00 probably isn't rated at what it says it is. I've managed a fairly good collection over the years. You definitely get what you pay for when it comes to them.

itll be fine for a few months and last a bit longer then the original one , then over time (a few months) the cells will die and the battery will become weaker and last less then the original
you will also find that even though the battery says 3500mah on it you wont get double the time for exampe if you get 4 hours video with the stock you wont get 8 hours video with this new battery as it probably isnt even 3500mah
i dont know how much you spent but you can get the original samsung 2000mah battery for £17 in the uk which is much better value
i think that the original 2000 mha is enough to complete a workly day as well as the phone with extended batteries loses his beaty....this is my opinion

There are a lot of gaps in your network signal, why? also what is your screen? what apps do you have? for how long do you use them? thanks.
The phone is usually in airplane mode while I'm sleeping at night, mostly because the table where it stays is near my head.
I don't get the question about the screen. It's the standard super AMOLED Vibrant screen. I'm using the ambient light sensor (50% indoor and 50% outside).
I mostly send SMS texts, use the stock browser (with Flash plugin enabled), Tapatalk, Flightradar 24 pro, Sportstracker PRO, Player Pro 2.7 (AAC 256kbps), and a few phone calls/3D gaming. Looking at the graph, the phone doesn't sleep often.
With this scenario, I could barely make 18 hours with the stock 2 years old battery and 24 hours with a 1 year old fake 1800mah Samsung battery.
Here are the 1st to 4th initial charge cycles.

There are a lot of gaps in your network signal, why? also what is your screen? what apps do you have? for how long do you use them? thanks.
I think poster is asking what is your screen on times

Can you use batteries rated higher than 1800mAh in the Samsung Epic 4G?
I see Anker batteries are the preferred choice. I found the 1800mAh sold by them. But I also see other batteries with ratings higher than 1800mAh, at 2200 and 2400mAh. However, they don't seem to be sold or recommended for use with the Epic 4G.
Just wondering what the highest rated mAh I can use with this phone.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Yes you can use a higher mAh battery. I myself use a qcell battery. Which states that it's around 4000 mAh.
You could use really any battery as long as it's the right voltage, and of course would fit.

Thanks for the reply. You must be using one of those bulky batteries, that need a special cover. I'm not too crazy about that type of battery.
Do you know what the highest ratted mAh "slim" battery is available. I was checking the Anker batteries, but they only seem to be available at 1800mAh for the Epic 4G.

I have seen people say they had 2400 mah slim batteries, but the highest I was able to get for a reasonable price was 2150 mah.

The availability of the 'slim' extended batteries is not looking good. As this phone has been around quite a while, I believe the supply/demand of after market batteries has gone down as well because I could not find one of those a few months ago when I looked.
I believe you're stuck with stock. I really prefer the extended as I get at least twice the life of the standard yield battery and will never go back. Good luck.

I have a qcell as well, and yes it does have the bulk on the back but.... I prefer it!
Where it is located it actually gives me a much better grip on my phone. I can grab it much more solidly. Plus it raises up the speaker a little if you are listening to music thru it, its not as muffled because speaker isn't blocked by the table. Plus the 2 to 3 days of battery life I get from it is amazing and well worth the extra dimensions IMO

Agreed, I prefer it as well. The extra battery is definitely worth it. I can make it a whole day with every syncing and overclocked.
Plus it fits under the black body glove case I bought. You can barely even tell it's a extended battery under the case.

I purchased one recently from Ebay, but I can't post the link here because I'm new to the site. Search Ebay for "2450mAh High Capacity Battery for Samsung Galaxy S2 II SCH-R760 R760X EB625152VA" in the photo you'll see for phone d710. They shipped the correct battery.
It's a slightly bigger battery, so the case barely snaps on. But working just fine on my E4GT SPH-D710.
