Thank you to those that have! If you are new to this thread, browse through the pages. I always try to answer questions quickly and thoroughly, as well as provide a stable kernel. If this kernel doesn't have the "features" you are looking for, or you have seen a cool new mod, just ask and I will try to accommodate (or at least give a reason why not)

installation
2 ways...
-download and extract boot.img from zip...non-ak versions
-enter fastboot mode by (with phone off) press and hold volume up&down and then power
then to test (reverts on reboot)
Code:
fastboot boot boot.img
to flash
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
or
-download to sd card and flash from recovery
tweaks
version 3.7.x has several "tweaks" that are controlled in system/etc/init.d/007tweaks
-color control
-gamma control
-volume boost
-high performance sound
everything boots to stock settings
included is system/etc/init.d/007tweaks.bkk which are my preferred settings (just rename to 007tweaks)
also can be adjusted with (most likely not colors) GLaDOS Control and Trinity Kernel Toolbox (as well as other kernel apps)
007tweaks
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
echo "0" > /sys/class/misc/samoled_color/red_v1_offset
echo "0" > /sys/class/misc/samoled_color/green_v1_offset
echo "0" > /sys/class/misc/samoled_color/blue_v1_offset
#default 0 0 0
echo "1670000000" > /sys/class/misc/samoled_color/red_multiplier
echo "1880000000" > /sys/class/misc/samoled_color/green_multiplier
echo "2000000000" > /sys/class/misc/samoled_color/blue_multiplier
#default 2004318071 2004318071 2004318071
mount -o remount,noauto_da_alloc /data /data
echo "0" > /sys/devices/platform/omapdss/manager0/gamma
#default 5 off 0 max 10 (10 being darkest)
echo "2" > /sys/class/misc/soundcontrol/volume_boost
#default 0 max 3
echo "0" > /sys/class/misc/soundcontrol/highperf_enabled
#default 0
permissions are set on flashing, but if changed with "es explorer" they need to be reset to
for roms that don't have "color slider adjustments" to have the changes take affect without rebooting, open a terminal and run....
Code:
su <enter>
run-parts /etc/init.d/ <enter>

kernels are preset
don't drop more than 75mV under default

protips-
force desktop mode on google chrome
create the file /data/local/chrome-command-line and add below
Code:
adb shell 'echo \"chrome --user-agent="[Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/535.19 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/18.0.1025.45 Safari/535.19]"\" > /data/local/chrome-command-line'

Great to see you in this forum mate. I loved your Kernel for the SGSII. I will be definately flashing it when AOSP pushes 4.0.3 properly.

tested on ARHD 2.1.2 and works fine
great job ogdobber

Nice to see a 4.0.2 kernel, thought we were forgotten.
Would you post an Anykernel version with just the kernel.
Thanks

Muchly appreciated! +1 to seeing a 4.0.2 kernel..
All running smooth as silk so far...

Cool, thanks for the anykernel version. Didn't want to flash the boot.img as it will overwrite the tweaked boot.img from ARHD 2.1.2.

When I clock down the CPU to 1200, will the 384 for GPU will stay?

Will the Kernel boot @ standard voltages or is he already undervolted, when yes, can you post standard voltages, thanks!

This is my personal kernel, compiled for myself and for my builds, but some one asked to share it so...
I'm not a kernel expert and probably I can't give a lot of support on this, so don't expect anything
I mainly did this to fit some my needs in my builds, so I cannot guarantee that will work fine with others and that I will be able to fix issues.
Credits for the kernel development goes to the people that constaly work on it: specially Markinus e Danijiel but of course also Rajko, Cotulla, huyanu and all the other people involved.
A big thanks also to: Hastarin for his help and clear instructions to start.., ocm7 for the "night lesson" that gave my first compiled kernel, darkstone, crawlingcity
Use this kernel at your risk.
Speed is 998 as default, so standard for your phone. If you want to overclock you have to use an OC app.
Anyway DO IT AT YOUR RISK. I will not be responsible for damages to your phone!
Main Features:
Based on master linux_on_wince_htc http://gitorious.org/linux-on-wince-htc/linux_on_wince_htc and always keept updated to it

Undervolting/Overvolting via SysFS
This is a risky operation.
You can burn your CPU. Do it at your risk.
I'm not responsible if you damage your phone. If you are doing this, is supposed you know what are you doing.
You can set the UV/OV values using some simple commands in shell or writing them in a file to push in your /system/etc/init.d folder that will be executed on boot.
File must be named like XXvoltages, where XX is a number that is not used by any other file in the folder.
Please find here an example file (credits: tyween) to restore on boot the voltage levels to standard one (1050mv)
If you want to change, just unpack the zip, change the 12vddlevels to your preferred one and re-pack the zip, to flash it via cwr or push the single file with adb or droid explorer or anything else.

1113600: 1300
1152000: 1300
1190400: 1300
incrementing/decrementing all levels by a specified amount* (mV):
Code:
echo '-25' > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/vdd_levels
echo '+25' > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/vdd_levels
adjusting the supply voltage* (second value, mV) at a specific frequency (first value, kHz):
Code:
echo '998400 1250' > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/vdd_levels
*: vdd values must be a multiple of 25 (enforced by the interface; the regulator doesn't accept other values - found out in the hard way)
please note that the values set through this interface will only be written to the acpu table - they will only become effective when the specific frequency is (re)set by cpufreq
i took the input parser from iscaela's code - thanks for it
do not apply this patch if you plan to use avs
to query the constraints of the regulator ("max_microvolts", "min_microvolts") or the voltage currently supplied to the cpu ("microvolts" (uV)):
Code:
grep '.' /sys/class/i2c-adapter/i2c-0/0-0048/regulator/regulator.0/*

back to 1.5
i installed 1.6,waited 5',shutted down the phone,then again->on-rebooted 3 times....data corruption....
i have version 2.3 with ext4 1gb
going to wipe all and do fresh start with ext3 4kb
edit: after wipping only the ext part from ext4 to ext3,restored from CWM,updated the kernel,no more corruptions!!!
only issue ..its a little laggyyy,i think that 1.5 was faster...
edit2: back to 1.5...much better
1.6->to much lag, startup time very long, screen reaction not like 1.5,battery drenage BAD
Very nice kernel, I was on the brink of starting my own as I was waiting for the new proximity sensor/light sensor fixes to be implemented but yours is now on my HD2.
One thing, it did think my battery was at 0% until I pulled the charger and started charging again in which it then shot back up to 100%.
I have high battery drain on standby mode about 267mA with this kernel
i want to downgrade it to 1.5, can u pls give me the link of kernel 1.5?
with all the respect for raf...
here you go

Are you becoming a hacker?
Thanks, great.
i am using your DHD build, does it have this version of the kernal or i should update with this?
does this kernel support Extended battery ?
Some one is reporting higher battery drain then 1.5 but no changes are made to 1.6 except the g-sensor calibration fix.
I think that cause you have to reboot to install the kernel, you will always have an high battery drain on next boot with new kernel. Wait 10-20 minutes and you will see low battery drain. Actually I have 4ma in standby.
Nice try

This version is very similar to the other XDA MIUI version. See link here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=992251
This version of MIUI also uses an exclusive kernel made by TK-Glitch to achieve insanely high overclocks. A standalone version of TK-Glitches less extreme kernel is available for download here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1041532

-Tips-
-Best Performance : Battery life ratio-
OPTION 1: Single frequency, default 1GHz.
-After installing the rom, download and install "Pimp My CPU" (DO NOT INSTALL SET CPU)
-Run "Pimp My CPU"
-Change scheduler to CFQ and governer to performance.
-Set both min and max frequencies to 1GHz
-Click on the 1GHz step and tune down the voltage to -200mV to result a final voltage of 1050mV (Or around this figure)
-Press menu button and save profile
-Press menu button, then press more, then set your new profile as boot settings.
-Do not enable other frequencies. This will cause instability with this type of Undervolt.
OPTION 2: Single frequency, Over or Underclock.
-After installing the rom, download and install "Pimp My CPU" (DO NOT INSTALL SET CPU)
-Run "Pimp My CPU"
-Change scheduler to CFQ and governer to performance.
-Set both min and max frequencies to a desired frequency
-Set undervolt amount, examples below;
1500MHz - 1.35V (-150mV)
1400MHz - 1.25V (-200mV)
1300MHz - 1.15V (-250mV)
1000MHz - 1.05V (-200mV)
0800MHz - 0.95V (-250mV)
-Press menu button and save profile
-Press menu button, then press more, then set your new profile as boot settings.
-Do not enable other frequencies. This will cause instability with this type of Undervolt.

i was on bozdag v4a edition earlier. now have flashed this one. but the phone starts rebooting during the call. is it due to different kernels

Undervolt it. But first you need to set it so the CPU freq doesn't scale up and down. Check first page second post for an example with 1GHz.
Unfortunatly my SGS isn't capable of handling 1,54Ghz. Tried undervolting (perhaps it didn't like the 1.5volts).
Too bad 1,44Ghz is it's limit for mine.
Awesome job on the rom tho! Loving it uptill now

Did you give 1.5GHz a try? Most devices will go upto 1.5GHz.
Did you fix Radio FM?
I got big issue with data of my APS. I don't know why but MIUI mount partition /datadata to /data/data this is wrong becouse it's only 200MB... I got it full afte 60-70aps. Is it possible to change it? To fix it?
System get crush after it is full so the best idea is to unmount /datadata->/data/data and make /data/data like separate folder on /data partition. I hope you understand me.

I'm currently working on higher frequencies for V6A release. 1.5GHz could be added in next V6pre (update 3) if I get good results.
The V5X kernel used in this rom is truely extreme and especially the 1.5 and 1.54GHz steps. GPU is overclocked linearly to 250MHz for 1.5GHz and 257MHz for 1.54GHz along with the general bus speed. For most devices, 250MHz will be about the maximum useable. 257MHz will only work on a few devices, but it's very close to the hardware limits. With this bus speed increase, 1.54GHz is faster than 1.6GHz at stock bus.

[KERNEL][UBERTC] CM12.1 based Modified (little bit :p) Kernel (23-05-2015)

Hi Guys ,
i would like to share my CM12.1 based kernel with very few features and i hope u like it
Code:
Features
CPU overclock 2.457 Ghz (Phone will boot @ 2.457Ghz)
Voltage adjustment
KCAL advance color control
Fast_hotplug
Faux Sound control
Compile with UBERTC GCC 4.9.3 ([url]https://plus.google.com/+ChetKener/posts/YzMJEkzPQgp[/url])
Graphite and Ofast flags
Cortex A15 optimized
selinux permissive
Thats it!! :p
Q&A
Q- Why overclock ?
A - Why not? .. Krait 400 is capable to run at 2.457 Ghz .. acording to me going over 2.457Ghz is overclock ...
Q- Why fast_hotplug and not intelli-plug ? and where can i find fast_hotplug settings ?
A- Well .. ill see if i can include intelli-plug also .. but you can use fast_hotplug for now as it is really fast compare to mp_decesion . i dont noe about any apps but u can control it manually using Root explorer (recommended) go to > sys > module > fast_hotplug (and do whateve u want
Q- how can i boot my phone on defualt freq instead of 2.457Ghz
A- you cant , beacuse i removed 2.105Ghz and replaced it with 2.265Ghz .. so if u want u can boot at 2.265Ghz using Kernel adiutor app (Recommended) and also dont forget to change thermalmanger.xml (found in system/etc ) values (find "control name = cpu" and change first value from 2105400 to 2265600)
Q- Your kernel is draining battery like hell !!! help me
A- i dont care ... unless i found unusual battery drain..
Q- Wow what a waste kernel no governer no i/o sched... other kernels has 10000 governers ... dafuq are u doing OP ?
A- Lol .. there is no need to add many gov and i/o schd as Interactive is best governer and u can tweak it for performance , battery and balaced (search on Xda) and ..
i want to keep my source clean and close to CM12.1 so that i can easily track if there is any issues .. and let me clear one more thing , m not a kernel developer i have 0% knowledge in C+ , 0% knowledge in linux/ubuntu and also very less knowledge related to github so i decided to pick most usefull features (for me atleast ) ..
Q- Can add "abc" or "xyz' features in your kernel ?
A- Well .. because of less knowledge i decided to pick limited features and not to mess with my source ..... but if feature is very usefull then ill surely look in to it and add it (if possible)

R- 255
G- 250
B- 245
Saturation - 60 (even 55 is ok )
Screen Value - 105
Screen Contrast - 120
Amazing Job!
I have yet to try this but it looks awesome, this is just the kernel a lot of people have been waiting for. Finally having all these features available in a stock build of cm is a huge step for lollipop, kudos.
My Color Control setup
Red-205
Green-200
Saturation-45
Value-115
Contrast-120
Everything else stays the way It came. I don't know if my cheapo screen guard has any negative influence on the view ability of my screen, but for me this setup provides a dim enough backlight for nighttime use, bright enough for direct sulight. While making colors pop on the screen without unrealistic saturation levels. The blacls also seem deeper and more inky. Just thought I'd share my setup
Great job dev looking forward to trying this out.

I have some questions:
-Installation is only flash .zip in recovery?
-If i install this kernel i lose my data, apps and other?
-It's work on CM12 (5.0.2) or CM12.1 only?
-Why i can OC to 2.457GHz, not to 2.8?

1. Yes , its flashable using recovery..
2. You wont lose your data unless you choose to wipe your data on recovery ( Install instruction added on 2nd post)
3. Why you are still using CM12 ... my kernel is based on CM12.1 source so technically it wont work on CM12
4. Check my source i had included overclock to 2.8 Ghz and tested on my phone for some days but i found that it isn't stable and ppl will damage there SOC using excessive OC .. the only use of 2.8 Ghz is improve your Benchmark scores ( that too in fridge ) .. so i removed it
Thank's for answers.

as i told always use Root explorer to edit system files ...
If Antutu restart at 31% or 35% means voltage issues ... incease voltage of 2.457 Ghz and 2.265 Ghz by 10 if still reboots then keep increasing +5 till you find stable voltage.......
That's strange, that CWM works & TWRP not?

Hi guys, I would like to share "my" Sense 5 ROM. I am not a developer (if I was I wouldn't upload old & boring Sense 5 ^^), so it's way too far from perfect. I compiled kernel from HTC 4.18.401.4 crc source only with a few modifications (sweep2wake, doubletap2wake & fast charge and init.d support) - I used AOSP toolchain 4.6 -O2. It is ONLY for HTC ONE X International.
mike1986. for deodexed Stock ROM (and for his great ARHD^^)
DutchDanny for deodexed 4.18.401.4 patch
Onepagebook for One-X Two-Way Recording patch
lyapota, maxwen, n3ocort3x, Xmister, faux123, Alex-V for their hard work and kernel sources (I just copy-pasted from them)
teemo and Thömy for New Layout
Chainfire for SuperSU
RichmondoUK for his WiFi fix
YashdSaraf for his busybox compilation
MANDATORY - do a full wipe (format Cache, Data, System; Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvik Cache via Custom recovery)
flash ROM zip file from recovery
flash boot.img in fastboot
Reboot & Done

Thanks! And new layout also

Both links are working fine for me Androidfilehost has been down few days ago, but now it's working fine. Old layout is here and New Layout is here here And it is Sense 5 ROM, so "gapps" included

What detail you mean? There's Kernel Configurations - "Click to show content" in OP, so if you click on it u gonna see what's enabled by default (or what is disabled by default). You have init script in /etc/init.d/ folder, so you change values easily and don't have to use emulator all the time you reboot. I like to keep DT2W disabled, direction independent sweep2wake, disabled fastcharge (I only enable it while driving - thx to Tasker ) and etc. I can play with it as much u want to.

Advanced Interactive Governor Tweak

NOTE:
1- First tnx to @soniCron for his amazing work for governor profile... here
2- I edited GhostPepper in to the init.d script and values completly with XZ cpu cores frequency.
3- No need to run terminal any more for set profile at any boot! or use third-party kernel manager or profile manager apps. only copy/past, set permissions, reboot and BINGO
BACKGROUND:
I test Butterfly (from HTC10) profile and MadDog from (Nexus 5x) and edit that for xperia xz. After multi time test and check diffrent values... i fine GhostPepper v1.3 is a complex of smooth like butter, good performance in games and best battery life for day to day use.
Quote from @soniCron :
Uses a quantized, frequency-aligned parametric curve to influence low core clock rates while providing extremely smooth transitions from each clock rate and exceptional battery life. The current favorite, albeit not very well tested so far. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

REQUIREMENTS:
1- rooted xperia xz
2- enable init.d (see post2)
3- TWRP recovery installed (for enable init.d)
4- any file manager with root browsing feature. (or use twrp built-in file manager!)5- enough knowlage about linux permissions, governor, init.d
CREDITS:
@Ryuinferno for add init.d support to any android kernel here
@soniCron for interactive governor tweaks here
@AndroPlus for kernel and twrp for Xperia XZ here & here

3- reboot device to recovery mod
4- in TWRP, go to advanced/mount then mount the "system" partition
5- go to advanced/terminal and run built-in terminal
6- type this commend line by line in terminal:
Code:
cd /sdcard
sh term-init.sh
7- reboot device. go to /data folder and check any Test.log file is there? YES??? woow you now can run any init.d scripts from boot
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOW copy 99governor file from last post to /system/etc/init.d/

Tanks for your feedback

The interactive tweaks change to cpu clock jump step. In medium usage like web surfing or lesson to music you don't need max freq.
Now cpu need more time to raise to max frequency
This profile set gpu clock at maximum for little frame drop in games (play AAA games drain battery fast)
If you no need that only delet init.d folder or delet governor file.
please, help!
sh: can't open 'term-init.sh'
why is it happening?
First mount /system in twrp (your device must be rooted and busybox installed)
Run terminal and
cd /sdcard
sh term.init.sh
OR
sh /sdcard/term-int.sh
Check sh file saved at root of sdcard and check file name

UB - done
TWRP - done
SuperSU - done
in TWRP:
mount system - done
run terminal - done
"cd /sdcard
sh term.init.sh" - done
terminal says "sh: can't open 'term-init.sh' "
term-init.sh is in the root of sdcard, redownloaded it several times (file size 8kb)
what am I doing wrong?
kernel is stock with restored ta and drm fix
Can you make one for drunksauce gov it's the best on Nexus 5X and is used in D.U. has crazy SOT on my Nexus can we get this ported to XZ. If not what do I do to get it ported just open the init file and edit the frequencies and how many CPU like ex: cpu0 cpu1?
Well I tried to port drunk sauce my self using the 99gov for Xperia XZ I found in this thread as a reference for the frequencies on our device. I'm running it now can confirm it is a success. I'll m working on it over the week. If anyone wanna try and give me feedback that be cool. I'm noticing a small drop in proformance in stamina mode but there no lag and SOT seems to be great. Give it a shot :good:

I appreciate it fam. let me know what you think
New update to my DrunkSauce port now on Version 4, Noticed that when I was checking CPU statistics I was showing the most used frequency on LITTLE Cluster was 1593MHz, Also noticed the associated battery drains from this. Added 3072MHZ Target load to LITTLE Cluster and Also changed the Input boost to have LITTLE Cluster firing at lowest frequency 3072MHz for CPU cores 0-3.
Enjoy!!!! Because im loving this thing right now buttery smooth and power saving.

Here's what I was talking about earlier
Just updated here is my GitHub so anyone can snag my recent edits. Major improvements overy last commits. Got the original devs looking over my commits. Happying Drunksauce FTW!
-Edit- Drunksauce is the 99governor for our device in my GitHub. And 100drunksauce is the original file from Nexus 5x in my branches. and download from the readme branch

hi! I've installed everything and activated the last edition of governor99, but still get about 3-4 hrs SOT
what am I doing wrong?
