MIUI BOZ Edition for Samsung Galaxy S devices is a modified version of the MIUI ROM. I aim to provide the most personal experience with MIUI. I hope you all enjoy this release of MIUI.

This version of MIUI also uses an exclusive kernel made by TK-Glitch to achieve insanely high overclocks. A standalone version of TK-Glitches less extreme kernel is available for download here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1041532

-Installation instructions-
New install
Be sure that you're based on a Froyo FW! CRUCIAL.
1: Download these files:
a) galaxy-efsbackup.zip
b) cm7-galaxys-initial-kernel.tar
c) MIUI Version. (e.g. BOZ V5.zip)
d) speedmod-kernel-k13c-500hz.tar
2: Copy "galaxy-efsbackup.zip" and your MIUI version to internal SD.
3: Flash "speedmod-kernel-k13c-500hz.tar" via Odin, wait for reboot and after that shutdown
4: Start via 3-button-combo in recovery mode and install "galaxys-efsbackup.zip"
5: Pull out battery and in again, start via 3-button-combo via download mode and flash cm7-galaxys-initial-kernel.tar via Odin BUT DON'T check repartition and auto reboot
6: Pull out the USB cable and start (in download mode) with 3-button-combo in recovery mode (waiting until samsung logo appears)
7: Choose "mounts & storage" and format system, data, cache
8: Flash "MIUI Version".
Upgrade
1: Download "MIUI Version" (e.g. BOZ V5)
2: Load "MIUI Version" to internal SD
3: Boot phone into CWM
4: Install zip from SD
5: Select "MIUI Version" and install
6: Reboot phone.

-Tips-
-Best Performance : Battery life ratio-
OPTION 1: Single frequency, default 1GHz.
-After installing the rom, download and install "Pimp My CPU" (DO NOT INSTALL SET CPU)
-Run "Pimp My CPU"
-Change scheduler to CFQ and governer to performance.
-Set both min and max frequencies to 1GHz
-Click on the 1GHz step and tune down the voltage to -200mV to result a final voltage of 1050mV (Or around this figure)
-Press menu button and save profile
-Press menu button, then press more, then set your new profile as boot settings.
-Do not enable other frequencies. This will cause instability with this type of Undervolt.
OPTION 2: Single frequency, Over or Underclock.
-After installing the rom, download and install "Pimp My CPU" (DO NOT INSTALL SET CPU)
-Run "Pimp My CPU"
-Change scheduler to CFQ and governer to performance.
-Set both min and max frequencies to a desired frequency
-Set undervolt amount, examples below;
1500MHz - 1.35V (-150mV)
1400MHz - 1.25V (-200mV)
1300MHz - 1.15V (-250mV)
1000MHz - 1.05V (-200mV)
0800MHz - 0.95V (-250mV)
-Press menu button and save profile
-Press menu button, then press more, then set your new profile as boot settings.
-Do not enable other frequencies. This will cause instability with this type of Undervolt.

i was on bozdag v4a edition earlier. now have flashed this one. but the phone starts rebooting during the call. is it due to different kernels

Undervolt it. But first you need to set it so the CPU freq doesn't scale up and down. Check first page second post for an example with 1GHz.
Unfortunatly my SGS isn't capable of handling 1,54Ghz. Tried undervolting (perhaps it didn't like the 1.5volts).
Too bad 1,44Ghz is it's limit for mine.
Awesome job on the rom tho! Loving it uptill now

Did you give 1.5GHz a try? Most devices will go upto 1.5GHz.
Did you fix Radio FM?
I got big issue with data of my APS. I don't know why but MIUI mount partition /datadata to /data/data this is wrong becouse it's only 200MB... I got it full afte 60-70aps. Is it possible to change it? To fix it?
System get crush after it is full so the best idea is to unmount /datadata->/data/data and make /data/data like separate folder on /data partition. I hope you understand me.

I'm currently working on higher frequencies for V6A release. 1.5GHz could be added in next V6pre (update 3) if I get good results.
The V5X kernel used in this rom is truely extreme and especially the 1.5 and 1.54GHz steps. GPU is overclocked linearly to 250MHz for 1.5GHz and 257MHz for 1.54GHz along with the general bus speed. For most devices, 250MHz will be about the maximum useable. 257MHz will only work on a few devices, but it's very close to the hardware limits. With this bus speed increase, 1.54GHz is faster than 1.6GHz at stock bus.

How to install
New install
1. Are you on Gingebread? If not, Flash a Gingerbread firmware (E.g XXJVP)
2. Flash a Custom kernel, including CWM (E.g CF-Root, Speedmod)
3. Boot to Recovery, then go to:
> Mounts & Storage
> Format System, Cache, Data.
Mount USB Storage and place the zip file into root.
4. Choose in recovery:
> Install Zip from SdCard
> Choose zip from SdCard
> Select the zip file.
Update Install
1. Go to recovery
2.>choose zip from sdcard
>install zip from sdcard
>Select zip file

Yes, that is the case. Though, glitch atm only has Voodoo Color, a kernel like fugumod should fix the gradient issues though.
Gonna test it. Can you pls add some screenshots.

Hi,
Do u mean apps like skype or the actual phone app? the phone app will unfortunately not support it as samsung hacked video calls in i believe.

This may be the first ever Miui rom I flash, now a couple of questions....
Is it user friendly and stable, i play games, browse and text a lot, will it last a good day or so battery?
Tethering, on a normal galaxy s rom, using android AP, i tether (quite a lot), can this rom accept tethering?
last of all, is it simple to flash? just put file into CWM, clear all and flash????
oh one last thing.... any bugs???? and can it run everything a normal galaxy rom can

For me, i simply text, call, occasional Google+ and facebook and it will last me more than a day.
Tethering should work just fine.
And yes, though ensure u are on gb bootloaders and format system, cache, data then flash.
crunch engine, you can leave as default, you can mess with it if u want to find what works best for you.

i'm not entirely sure myself, but it'd probably be hard otherwise someone would have done it already
this looks good, generally i don`t like miui because of the lag (and iOS look)
but if you said that you fixed that (the lag, not the look) i will give this a try when i have time

This is a stock rom based on mexican froyo 2.2.2,v10f converted to v10b UNEFON,fully coocked for pecan.this is froyo because the port of cm7.2 for pecan is very buggy

in dsi xda kitchen in the working folder, the bravia engine have 2 files,be_movie and be_photo this going to the folder system/etc and in the build.prop of the folder system open with text editor and add 2 extra lines to enable it

Thanks for this great rom. For me it's the best foyo-based rom. But seems that it has a high battery usage. I consumed 20% in about 12 hour when with the ME-UI (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1439446) ROM i consumed about 20% in a entire day
EDIT: i was wrong. When i installed this ROM it seemed to consume a lot of battery, but maybe it was only due to a wrong battery settings. I do 2-3 full charge and now the battery usage is good (the same of Me-UI rom)

We will try our best. In fact those CM9-builds are Nightlys, they need to be tested before. And there won't be that many changes from Nightly to Nightly. If there are bigger changes, let us know and we will try to update as fast as possible.

I'm using CM9 12april now, I will try this rom tomorrow.
If you will keep this rom stable, don't give it updates nightly, may be week or two with major updates.

A way to disable auto rotate of home screen on tw4 launcher (if possible). I don't want to turn it off totally, just the launcher.

From what I have seen after 1 full day of use on this Rom. Everything is working fine.The battery life is good and all menus are really snappy. :good:

Open 7zip and from the application go into the folder you saved the file. double click on the file and it will show you "RomAur V1.0 UB XZL.zip" click on it and drag it to your desktop.. wait for it to extract and you are set

That is normal. Even in the generic firmware max megapixel in the camera options should only be 12mpx. Don't know why since the camera is suppose to have a 13mpx lens.

High Dynamic Range. Its when you have two or more areas, one brightly lit and the other dark i.e difference in lighting, normal mode would set the exposure for either the dark area, in which case the lighter areas will be over exposed (washed out) or set the exposure for the lighter area, in which case the darker areas would be under exposed. What HDR does is take a series of pics with different exposure values to give you proper exposure for both light and dark areas. This is just an overview. :good:
I would suggest you turn off HDR anyway. Its got its uses, but as far as mobile imaging goes, I dont see any value. It ends up softening the pic quite a bit.

Have you wait long enough to let the GPS lock your location? From my experience with stock ROM (not this ROM), the GPS seriously need a very longggg time to lock for the first time, i think about 10 to 15 minute.
Will continue update for this Rom?!
