Help me straighten this out.. r800at question.

Okay so I've been told any GSM roms will work with the r800at. I. Have a locked bootloader so i understand that the rom has to use the stock kernel. I have clockwork so I can flash a rom from .zip so I am asking what are compatible roms I can install on my r800at with a locked bootloader. I have looked but I don't want to get into a bootloop or brick it. I am asking to make sure.
thanks in advance.

Get back to completely stock on Arc S LT18a

Please help. I'm running Sony ICS beta. Is it possible to relock my bootloader and get back to the completely stock LT18a ROM (not LT18i).
Thanks.
Yes, use wotanserver to get stock and relock or take a look at the threads

Stock firmware?

Okay, I have unlocked the bootloader and all. If something ever goes wrong, does anyone have the stock firmware download? And how would I go about putting it on an unlocked bootloader? Or will I have to lock it again? Thanks :-D

Use wotanserver (free) if something goes wrong and this method works with locked and unlocked bootloader

You can find the newest GB stock firmware on this post:

and the newest Flashtool to install it here:

As I'm aware the newest firmware and penultimate .62 cannot be rooted, however you do not need to unlock your bootloader again. Once it's unocked you can flash another kernel or custom rom on it even it you re-install the original firmware. The custom rom should already be rooted.
I revert to stock first everytime something goes wrong like bootloops just to make sure I have the right baseband and stock kernel.
or u can try this

About to get S3 ...

I'm coming from an Xperia Play and have a few questions. Just want to compare and see the differences. I'm on Rogers btw (AT&T version?)
1. Best way to root? There was two ways I rooted, ran superoneclick (locked bootloader) and booted a custom kernel (unlocked bootloader)
2. If I want to restore to factory settings? The way I did was to use Flashtool and flash a stock .ftf
3. Do I need a jig? I've played around with my parent's Captivate (Canadian Vibrant? :S) and I messed up so I had to send it in.
That's all for now... thanks in advance.
No superoneclick here. Custom kernel or prerooted system is how its done. Factory restore is similar. You use Odin and load a stock .tar file. And no a jig is not nessessary

[Q] Revert to stock ROM

Hi to all senior XDA.
I'm using rooted r800i GB 2.3.4, stock ROM with locked bootloader.
If I flash a custom ROM on my phone, may I revert back to my stock ROM?
I've already made a CWM backup.
Yes you can revert back by restoring your backup or flashing the stock ftf with flashtool. Make sure you only flash gb roms because other versions need an unlocked bootloader or youll have lots of problems

Thanks for the advice... :good: I will bear it in my mind...
