So i found this NORMAL sized extended battery on ebay. It has 1700mah opposed to the 1400 mah the factory one has. I have the verizon extended battery and it works great but, IT IS HUGE and there are no decent cases. So for $15 bucks i gave it a shot. When i get it ill let you know if the 300mah makes a difference.

If I am not mistaken...there are threads on this battery and some people didn't find that much of a difference....but each phone is different..
I have the extended battery.....I have a silicone skin that I cut to fit the extended batter cover and then I bought a holster for it...works AWESOME
I didn't see a thread for this specific battery. I cut the case also, and it falls off every time i put it in my pocket drives me crazy lol. Something has to give a 2in thick phone doesn't do it for me. Plus that battery is heavy. So lets see how this cheap battery does
There's a thread somewhere about an independent test from "battery man" or something of the like.
He's stated that these batteries are often rated higher than whey they actually are, like 1700 actually being a 14 something. I'll see if I can find it. It was an interesting read.
Here you go.

It's not a 1700 mAh battery. It's a battery with a 1700 mAh sticker on it. With all the complaints about battery life, and the rumors that the TB was delayed while they worked to improve it, HTC would have gone with a higher capacity battery if one were available in a suitable size.
I got a couple of "1500 mAh" batteries and a charger from Hong Kong for $9 from ebay. They seem to work about the same as the OEM, enough to get me through a day (no 4G here, yet).
Some others had purchased these. If you run Battery Monitor Widget, it tells you how many mAh your battery is, it reports the correct 2750 for my extended, but on these 1700's it reported 1350.
I just need to come out and say it. A battery is a battery, you can't get a huge amount more of mah out of a battery that is the same size. There is no amazing battery that can hold 30% more energy and be the same size. You can increase capacity by taking out circuits, thinning the wall, and optimizing space in the battery but you can't make it tons higher. These batteries promoting themselves and so much more charge in the same package are a scam.
I've been posting on threads on these "1700mAh" batteries because I dislike the company that makes these ads. Its false advertising.
The story is that the seller already had "1500mAh" batteries on Amazon for the MyTouch 4G. Then when the TB came out he listed them on Amazon for the TB advertising them as 1500mAh. A week later he raised the price from $35ish to $50ish for 2 batteries and changed the title to state that its a 1700mAh battery.
For a short period of time people purchased this "1700mAh" battery for the TB. When they received it the sticker still stated 1500mAh. Then later people started getting the batteries with the stickers saying "1700mAh"
Summary: False advertising. Do not buy. Exactly the same as the $3-5 eBay batteries, so SAVE YOUR MONEY
BELIEVE ME I HAVE MY DOUBTS .ill test it and see what it does. it popped up on ebeay and ill try it out. gEeEeez. negative negative negative lol

No one is being negative. They're just trying to let you know that you're getting scammed. Even if it was actually 1700 mah you'd get what, a extra hour out of it?
i have this battery and i got to say ain't worth it unless you want an extra battery just like the one that comes with the tbolt...

There's a setting where you can change the capacity. My stock battery read 1350 also.
With that said, I bought these 1700 mah batteries and they are worse than stock. I guess it's a decent price for two extra batteries and a charger, but they suck. They dont extend anything.
i have tried this battery, it is the same, if not worse then the OEM battery.
I bought two of these 1700 mah batteries with a charger a few days ago. I only paid about $26 after shipping so we'll see how well they do. I'm not expecting miracles, I just need one to leave at the office and one for home. If my battery dies, I can still use my phone.

you would probably be better off just flashing a kernel/rom that isn't all bloated and is more energy efficient. Ever since flashing the perfect storm rom my battery life was better. Flashed CM7 when the prealpha came out and its even better.
I'm on the Twisted Sense rom with the bamf_4.3b kernel. I have no complaints with the rom or kernel. My battery drain comes from me never putting the phone down.

Never seem to get anyone posting results in these threads. I'd imagine there won't be much of a difference, but still would be nice to see what people are getting.
I'm still waiting on mine to come in.

My extended batteries came in yesterday. I charged them and carried one today. My phone had drained by about 2:00 pm so I popped in one of my new ones. It's 8:30 and I'm at 69%. I wont say that I'm getting fantastic battery life, but it's fair. I did use navigation and I browsed the web a bit. After around 5 pm, I was on wifi so I'm sure that helped. For $26, I don't think I made a bad deal.

The one made by Samsung.
Looks wise the official one. I'm still waiting on mine to arrive, hopefully not gonna wait much longer!
Use the Samsung one... Doesn't add to much bulk and most non-oem batteries inflate the mAh
Please hit the thanks button if I helped.
GSM or LTE?
As they're from Portugal it'll be GSM, only the US have LTE/CDMA
There's a new RAZR coming out with an OEM 3300mah battery and the body is still 9mm thin.
Let's harang Samsung and see if they can give us something similar!

battery is irremovable.
I think the best is an external battery like duracell or something similar. I know that having another thing to bring with you sucks, but is better than make your phone bigger than it is. And also with a non-official battery you will lose the NFC connectivity
Did some that already have the 2000mAh (Samsung's official extended battery) notice great difference?
I mean, is it worth the 45-50 euros for an extended 'hour' or 2?
I also have the Duracell battery that I connect to any mobile device, so I am indeed not to sure if I want to buy an extra hour for that price.
Cheers.
I think its a bit laughable to have the extended battery only add 250 mAh. They have to make a battery to bump it up to the high 2000's like 2750 close to 3000. The razr maxx is gonna have 3300? thats almost twice the capacity of the Galaxy Nexus, removable or not. Its a monster of a battery, the type that all of these smart phones should have standard. Its stupid how google maps adds this location bs, and there is so much that phones are able to do now, there is no way that your phone will last a night out in the city if you need to gps a location, use social apps to talk/meet up with friends, and phone calls/texts, the battery game needs improvement.

Although the increase is very minimal I think its worth it.
For people who run out of there stock battery in half a day it would be very foolish to purchase. Might as well get two stock ones.
For people who the stock one usually lasts them all day for very close to it, it is very worth it because now it becomes basically one battery for full day.
I hate when my phones would die about an hour before bed. This little extra will make it the perfect amount.

I went back and added the proper mAh of the batteries. But it doesn't change your snotty remark and the fact that these new phones should come with more efficient batteries.
I hope they make a 3300mAh battery that fits in the stock backing. I mean it was possible with the droid razr maxx, so why not on the galaxy nexus?
We need lithium POLYMER batteries with NFC. It takes up less space.
Hey all, i've been on the lookout for the largest battery i can find at a reasonable price. I had the 2100mah official battery, which still had laughable life. I now have the QCell 3850mah battery which is VERY nice and not too large. The problem is that because of 4G and the AMOLED screen, I find myself still able to kill the phone with ease if i spend some time gaming or even web browsing. I'm just asking for help from my fellow GNex people, has anyone seen a larger battery thats around $50 or under? Ideally im looking for a 5000mah but all searches turn up with the Note battery.
I have the VZW GNex btw
Mugen got a 4000mah battery in their portfolio, see here. But that thing is pretty expensive. Don't know any bigger battery. Maybe buying a second one and charge it in an external charger would be an option for you!?
That link above goes to the GSM Gnex 4000 battery.
Here is the 3900 CDMA gnex battery http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...-galaxy-nexus-sch-i515-with-battery-door.html
Thanks for the replies guys! I thought of buying a second 3850 but it would be a hassle to keep around (doesnt fit in wallet, a brick in your pocket). Sure i could turn 4G off and all kinds of other crazyness but i prefer to run a high end phone like a high end phone, and size doesnt bother me (im jealous of the Note haha). I'm sure some others agree with me here
I just got a GS2 from an epic 4g and I ordered a supposed new battery for my phone since it didnt come with it. My luck however, gave me a battery that lasted exactly as long as my old phone, 2 hours of screen time. I was wondering what brand I should get to top that, since, I bought this phone in hopes to get better battery life to begin with...
The best regular battery is going to be the OEM (factory manufactured straight from Samsung). At least that is my experience.

Here is a link to the standard 1800 mAh battery for the Black Sprint E4GT
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/EB625152VABSTD
Keep in mind: It'll run you $40.
Battery might vary a little if you have Boost or a white E4GT, but probably not. Just something to consider.
I would advice you to skip the more expensive OEM option and read this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1851790
So for 25$ with shipping you get 2 Anker batteries, which have received great reviews, and an extra charger. It's rated the same capacity as the OEM 1800 batteries.

Unfortunately the most ET4G users don't get great battery life, but you should get at least 12 hours out of an Anker battery with heavy phone use. I easily get 20 hours on my lighter usage days. I keep the spare battery in my pocket (it's small, i barely notice it) in case I run out, although it's quite infrequent..
I have tried a 2300 and a 2100 battery. I got better life out of the 2300 but it crapped out within a month causing random reboots. The 2100 was just a straight up lie and I think its really a 1500 but it works great as a 2nd battery and it came with a charger for cheap. I have another battery on the way 1800 Samsung, probably a fake too since it was $4 but here is the thread link I had ebay bucks to use and don't mind gambling for a possible killer deal.
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-ET-CGPK009GSTA-SPH-D710-Battery-Charger/dp/B005LBEA6I/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1349969602&sr=8-8&keywords=samsung+epic+4g+touch+battery
I purchased one of these for around $30 and haven't regretted it one bit.

Anyone know where I can find just battery door for the extended 2100mah battery? Looked on Ebay and googled it but I could only find the battery + door bundles.
Or does anyone have an extra one lying around that you would sell?
Just buy the battery + door. It's only $9 at Tmart.com
You never know when you need an extra battery.
My battery crapped out and I had to wait like 5 days without a cell phone while I wait for the thing to ship to me.
Worst 5 days of my life.
I'm actually buying another one so I don't have to live a day without a cell phone.

Link? I don't see it on Tmart.com. I see an aftermarket 3800mah battery & door. I'm looking for the Verizon OEM 2100mah extended battery door.
Terribly sorry. I guess I need to go back to elementary school and learn to read. I just read the title and automatically assumed "extended battery" to be 3800 mAh. There is none in Tmart. 2100 mAh... Is that common? And I think for accessories it doesn't matter if it's GSM or Verizon, but I could be wrong.

The GSM, Verizon and Sprint doors are all different. I actually have the extended Sprint door for my Verizon GNex but even after modifying the door by taking off one of the clips, it still doesn't fit quite right. There's some gap around the camera that's bugging me and that's why I'm looking for the OEM Verizon extended door.
My goodness! I have always thought that verizon GSM and sprint phones just differed by band or whatever, but I had no idea that they would actually manufacture the phones a little differently to prevent cross usage! That is SO lame!
Yea, overall, the Verizon and Sprint versions are a little thicker than the GSM one.
