[PHONE] Cool Themed PHONE Application!!

Just as I was saying in the threat with the Modded DialerTabActivity, I modded a bit the phone. I hope you like it.

is it transparent? or does it always have the clouds background? looks pretty sweet to me....

unfortunately it has clouds background. I will make a few more variants.
I don;t know at the moment how could I make it transparent

To make it transparent you will have to use photoshop or gimp

trust me mate, I tried. But it's not that. If I make it transparent, it will show a black background.... I don;t know how to make it

you can do a version without that dialer image?

Works nice but force closes phone.apk when ending a call. I googled this problem but solution didn't work.still,it works and looks good

) this is the default image for contacts without an image allocated.

I was trying to modify my stock dialer on my droid x a while back and gave up. I remember seeing a thread about it for the motorola phones though, the color had nothing to do with photoshop. Instead, it was color codes that needed edited in a hex file. I am brand new to samsung, so I'm not sure if that helps you at all. But you got further than I did on the X. Good luck

I am trying to install but no luck, am getting a "not installed" after trying.
Is anyone else experiencing this ?

It looks beautiful. But can u make a version with default image diferent then this? Cause i got a lady and young sister/brothers that often play in Galaxy S, so as u imagine this kind of image will get me in trouble

I installed liquid rom v1.1 and that part was different, the icons were, I don't know, less transparent. The icons on the left were all solid colors. Never seen that before. Now, it has changed back on its own, for no reason I can think of and I want to change it back.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I can decomplie, edit, and compile apk and framework just fine. Hopefully it's easy tho.

Oh yeah its a breeze. All you have to do is decomopile the systemUI.apk and find those .png's that you want to edit. Finish the changes with Photoshop or whatever you're using and recompile, and push it back into the system. I noticed that one of the icons was from titanium backup. You will have to actually go inti that .apk and edit those as well if you want to make them all uniform-which would probably take a million years haha

I doubt this is the case. Why would ALL the developers use the same ugly greyish color. I'm sure its just a transparency thing.

I've been using Apk_Multi-Tool_Alpha_02 with the github experimental builds addon. Not sure which version of apktool is in the "other" folder though. It has handled everything I throw at (except contacts & phone) without having to play one jar to decompile and another to recompile game.

Black or dark ICS MMS?

I'm running Chicago Remix rom, ICS 4.0.4 and i'm looking for a dark MMS.
I've decompiled the MMS.APK through APKTool but i'm no expert user. I don't know how to change the background color or txt color and such.
If anyone can help me I will take the time to attempt to do it myself... I don't mind some trial and error it can always be fun.

That is my plan to share it of course. I just need to figure out how in gods name to do it. I tried decompiling that apk but it's signed and I can't get to it. I was simply going to try and a little copy and paste on certain things.

Here is a great guide I found at rootzwiki that gives a step by step tutorial on how to edit the Mms apk: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/19845-how-to-theme-your-mms-a-step-by-step-guide/. I found that after I had some help and figured it out. My best advice is to decompile my theme and take a look at it. Most of what you're looking for will be in the layout folder.

use desktop visualizer from play store..
u can't change the icon of the original app tho'.. only the app shortcut in the home screen..

Decompile the APK using APKTool and look around, you might have to go to *appname*/res/_dpi
('_' stands for the letter like xdpi or something)

this is an app picframe that i have decompilised and replaced all icons with my own made icons for a test but it wont install here
maybe someone can have a look at it

You have to sign it to work Use SignAPK or something, or if you have root, simply use any root explorer and copy the app to /data/app and fix permissions either manually, or via recovery

[Request] Lockscreen XML

I am trying to track down the XML that contains the info for the lock screen. I have checked all the keyguard XMLs in framework-res and none seem to make a difference. Is the lockscreen TW specific? I did not see any TW_keyguard XMLs. Any info would be appreciated.

What in particular are you looking for? I know images for the lockscreen are located in frameworks for TW... but there could be XML files in the SystemUI for the lockscreen you want, TW does things a little different from AOSP.

I checked the two usual suspects, I'll keep poking around, it should be in a string file after you decompile an apk though...

I checked strings in SystemUI and Framework-res. I made changes, but neither took. I will look in tw_framework-res as well. Thanks for the help!

It's in framework-Res/values/strings. When you are in strings search for the text that it says now. Change, save and compile. Just changed mine this weekend.

I changed this line, saved and recompiled. Pushed framework and it still says the same thing on the lockscreen. Wierd
