I Wanna Upgrade From X10 To ArcS Cause X10 Is Super Slowmotion!
So One Of questions about Arc S is that:"Is It Gonna Support HD Games Like Latest Modern Combat 3 Or Gta III Or Real Racing 2? BY Mean That Support Is THat Run Smoothly And Without A Songle Little Lag!
So Anyone That Use A Arc S And Noticed A lag Please Notify Me Too!
I am gonna instal 20 , 30 Apps Among HD Games!10 to 50 mb per app!
So Is it Gonna Lag?!
And Does It Support Dr.Dre's Beats Heaphones?!(Over The Air {Studio Or Solo HD!})
And Does it support 1080p Movies with the Help of 3rd party appS?!
Thanks!
It won't lag.

I'm not sure about that, but I don't think so.
Otherwise there are lot of alternatives like MW600, LiveSound, etc.
It supports [email protected]
it's really an upgrade from x10 to Arc S.
but you can't compare Arc S to device with dual core.
so far, my Arc S is smooth and no laggy.

Yeah Thanks To All Of You That Respond I Love The Arc S But The lack OF Support The Dr.Beats Headsets , 1080P movies , and Future Of Adreno 205 make me feel Sad!
Thank for reporting that!
I Thought That 1.4 Ghz had enough power to run a 1080P movie!
Even With a Software!
Thanks Mates!

Hi guys! I would like to known from you some impressions about the arc..i'm an x10 user and i love the arc but i know that its hardware is just a little bit outdated compared to new dualcore phone..anyway i saw that are available some kernel to overclock cpu up to 1.86 and many other features! So i would like to know if you think that is a good idea to switch to the arc or wait to buy another new phone??from x10 to arc is a big step or not?
Thanks a lot guys
Best regards

I'd say just get one of the dual cores out there. Plus their RAM and internal memory are bigger than Arc. I myself is leaning towards htc sensation as my next fone and handover my Arc to my mrs. Although Arc is not so bad in normal usage like surf, chat, music n movie. It's just that it's becoming boring at least for me as there's no other ROM to try out at the moment considering most of the users are bootloader-unlocked. Cyanogen is under development though.

For day to day use it's great, but if you want to play the latest games in a few months and want the highest benchmark scores go and get something else.
Atm everything works smooth on it.

As I've said many a time, the Arc is the best single-core handset on the planet.
Whether that's enough for you is something you and only you can decide.
Thanks guys for your opinions..

I had supercharged 100 % and I was playing angry birds Rio and red bull x fighters. But suddenly, It had been stopped when I done to next level whether I got scored. I had finished this level and when I continued to next level unfortunately it had stopped and lagged like jammed. What solution to resolve full working gaming on my arc ICS ?

Currently there are many gaming issues on ICS ..if you are a hardcore gamer ,i suggest u should roll back to GB ...I can't play The Amazing Spider Man on ICS ,it crashes every 2min.when i play in GB it runs smooth and no crash...
Think for a second, maybe the game has a problem with levels - stages (especially small 3d games)
but its true ICS is not good for gaming, especially in smoothness and performance, im currently on ICS 4.0.4 (arconium ICS) and i get lag with KTG anzu kernel v1.41
and im currently thinking of going back to GB

the Amazing Spiderman works well on my Arc stock ics 4.0.4 . Not crash or force close. Only small lags.
I also played Backstab but It didn't smooth, What should I do ?

Sell your Phone and get an iPhone. As someone who has ROM in the development section I find it baffling why you feel the need to start so many threads on so many subjects.

It's not a secret is it that gaming on ICS is quite poor, it's no secret because there have been a few threads in regards to the issue, non of which has offered a solution, so to start yet another thread asking how to improve gaming on ICS is, well, I'll refrain from being rude.
hello :cyclops:
i have the arc s lt18i.
in the beginning i flash the official sony ics release and i compare it to the samsung galaxy s1 - i9000 with custom rom (run ics).
the result is that the galaxy s1 much faster and smoother then the arc s. all the menus are much faster and the youtube app much much smoother. - the arc s is laggy and dont smooth in youtube app when i move from comments section to "other videos" section, when i scrolling in the "comment" section or "other videios" section.
i think thatthe official rom is the problem so i flashed ics jj hybrid rom.
now the phone is fast but not like the samsung galaxy s1 :crying:
the ypuyube app is very lag when i play a clip and navigate in the "comments" section, which in galaxy s1 is smooth!
as much as i know the arc s have a 1.4ghz and better specs
so what is the problem? is the samsung galaxy s1 is really better then the arc s?
thanks! :good:
Did you flash any custom kernel ? Its pretty fast for me ..

a custom kernel really Influencing the speed?
when you scrolling in the the comments of a music video on youtube the scroll is not smooth? (while the music video is playing)
p.s can ypu give me a good kernel that support jj hybrid rom?
thanks man

I tried the arcknight kernel but my phone was even slower and had problems with its signal, now I'm using the stock kernel with cwm and xperia ice bean ROM.

Usually the purpose of a kernel is to over/under clock so go ahead and try doing that

hmm.. so the galaxy s1 with the 1ghz is better then the arc s with 1.4ghz?
because i did not overclocked both of them and the galaxy s1 is much faster.
do you guys have the same lags in the youtube with the scrolling? (while the video playing)
thank you guys for your comment!
Dont Forget
Dont forget that your galaxy S is using a custom rom. Considering if it were on a stock ROM performance would be better on the arc S considering that it is on 4.0.4

what is the matter?
ok but i dont see differences at all in the arc s or the galaxy s1.. i mean the ics look and everything is exactly like the arc s jj hybrid ics.
everything is the same!!! like they both based on ics!!!
but the old galaxy s1 wins for sure

I'm not really sure what your getting at and also the way of using your device could matter. Considering benchmarks the arc S would win for sure whereas in day to day use like you say the galaxy s could be better

Same problem with my Xperia Arc (ICS) ..
I think Sony mess up with ICS firmware. The phone was great and game friendly with GB, with official ICS it's laggy and don't play many games. I'm with a locked bl based on the 431 firmware. I've tried some roms and finally stick with pureness 10 V6 supercharged. Games won't play, but the phone is more reponsive, with less launcher restart. But overall the phone is slower than my old Desire with CM7

Unlock your bootloader , flash a custom kernel , flash a custom ROM ... Then you will see how fast it can perform...
BTW the galaxy s is probably on a custom kernel which is overclocked , running a custom supercharged ROM...

I don't want to unlocked bootloader and lost warranty and drm right And i don't think that putting a custom kernel made such a difference. But why Sony can't simply release a good rom is beyond my understanding. Why with GB i have no problem to play Angry birds and Asphalt 6 and when i upgrade to ICS, i must sometime reboot to play Angry bird because of touchscreen problem and can't play Asphalt 6 because of lack of usable memory. Maybe it's Google fault too, with ICS to big for 2011 smartphone, or bad Sony rom, but the result is here, unhappy customer, who are think twice before buying a sony phone in the future

HD Games will lag in ICS. Try GB roms, I recommend X-Gamer.:good:
If you still want ICS, try some custom Roms, there are many out there.

Truesmooth Rom or Jelly Dream Rom are good for gaming on ICS, but also take a look at the App swapper 2, it can fix input lag,
Real Boxing for Tegra Devices, isn't? I can't open with Chainfire 3D

Hi everyone,
I know that xperia s can get easy 44 degrees, but when my xperia s get this temperature it became very lag.
When I play dead trigger or shadown gun for exemple, the game run fine for ten minutes, so after this time the game doesn't work very smooth.
It's normal in xperia s?

It's actually normal for devices with old Snapdragon S3 processors, kinda shame on Sony for using it on their 2012 flagship. So therefore, I don't use my Acro S for heavy gaming, just for regular games like Temple Run 2.

No.. old snapdragon s3 is capable to play those games fine. What's not normal is the settings Sony put in temperature settings. dual core 1.5 gHz 45 nm processor should be hot and if u believe it can take the heat... just follow the guide (I do believe and got no lags in games... and no errors too)
