Extracted sounds of Windows Phone 7 - Windows Phone 7 General

Hello XDA members!
I have searched everywhere in this forum, the original sound files. Not recorded, the original extracted.
I saw that many people act like shoes like me.
Therefore, I took myself and extracted from my Samsung Omnia 7.
All the files are untouched!
BONUS: Samsung ringtones

cool, just dumped them all in my -whatever-to-mp3- script directory and watched it spin. i really gotta write a cool wifi-sync script to press into it too.
thanks !

Here some custom ones.

+1 Thanks for this!

How to install a "multi" theme on a Prophet?

As I'm new to this I started by checking the Wiki for the Prophet but didn't find anything.
I downloaded the beautiful looking Iphone theme from DeviantArt;
http://www.deviantart.com/download/48246741/
Se image below.
In my mind I expected to find one exe file to run but the theme included quite a lot of small programs. Where do I put all the .skn files and so on in order to make it work!
Can someone please help me with this "stupid" question I would be very gratefull.

You'll need Wisbar advance or desktop to use that.
hope it helps...

There are various threads about making your device look like an iPhone within the General forum. With those threads and the above file you should have no problems setting it up.
Unzip the file and install the today themes. Copy the icons to your device/storage card.
Decide whether you are going to use iLauncher or cLaunch and unzip the application. Check out how to associate applications using your preferred launcher and associate those apps with the icons provided within the pack.
Phone alarm within the pack is V1.56 (1.58 is now available from their website - www.pocketmax.com) but it is 18.50 Euros (Although well worth the money in my opinion). Install and apply the appropriate skin.
As far as I can tell you don't need WA or WAD to use this pack (as Xusso has suggested above). There are no WA/WAD components within the file anyway.
Support on using Phone Alarm is available on their web site.
Information on using cLaunch can be found here.
I have never used iLaunch but it should not be too hard finding instructions on how to use it.
Take the leap and have a go at putting all the stuff together yourself. You will learn a lot about your device and the programs by doing so. If you have any problems ask the board . . . .
Good luck!
Thanx for the info....

Nice one! I am glad you managed to put it together. I notice you have XnView Pocket as well. An excellent freeware app.
Did you find setting it up yourself useful? The more you play, the more you learn . . .

It was kind of frustrating to set up CLaunch, but now as I know how it works it easier on my temper! At first I didn't get the start bar black no matter what theme I used, but after a couple of hours on the forum following various threads i found a Theme from Diggia that did the trick. It's amazing how much knowledge there is "out there". Some threads are on "simple matters", like mine, but some are really advanced. It kinda gives you complex for being such a noob at this!
I certainly will hang around and who knows, I might actually learn something!!!!

New to Windows Phone

Hi all, as the title states, I'm new to the windows phone fam. I just found this place and it seems to be an awesome source for all kinds of things. I'm just a little overwhelmed with all the different things available. I want to do a few things with my phone (like different themes and apps) but have no idea how to even go about installing them on the phone. I tried to find somewhere that said how to add them but no luck. Is there a previous thread here that shows how to go about adding apps from this website onto the phone?
Also, I know that the tilt 2 comes with a built-in youtube viewer but I can't find it for the life of me. Does anyone know if ATT took it off the phone or am I just not looking in the right spots?
Thanks in advance, hope to learn a lot from everyone.
Welcome!
The best starting place is the 'read first' thread. It'll point you to the search feature (works very well) and the Wiki, where useful info a plenty can be found.
The link for youtube viewer is in the \Windows folder, just copy the link (it's a .lnk file) from there to somewhere in your \Windows\StartMenu\Programs folder.
Thanks for your help, got it to work just fine!

[Q] Help! 3ga to mp3 converter

Last night I just held my S2 at shoulder level half way back in one of my wife's concerts in a 12th century abbey here in France, and to my complete surprise the "voice recorder" has produced the most superb recording when I was about half way back in the room (swallows and bats flying around as well!).
Only one problem.
I can send the file to my box.net site and everyone can download and listen using Apple Quick Time, but the French would love to convert to mp3.
I can't seem to find a programme that does it.
Thanks for any help.
Seriously, have you ever heard about Google? Chances are it's your phone browser's homepage... In the forum rules, you're strongly advised to use the search function. Guess what? It doesn't only apply to the forum: whenever you need an information please search first and then ask for help if you don't find anything. Opening a thread for such a topic instead of using google...
Mods please close this useless thread.

I did try google and, I know as on oldie, I am presumed to be stupid, but there wasn't anything that worked.
Sorry for any offence.

Arrogant! Go back to where you come from. You could read the thread subject and avoid it if you don't want to give you help.
I was looking for the same info, as I didn't find anything useful by searching on google.
May work for you to change 3ga to mp3
Hi,
This isn't very technical, however, I just changed the file extension from .3ga to .mp3 . I just gave it a try out of frustration and it now plays as an mp3 on all of my devices.
be sure to copy the file and then change the file extension on the copied file in case it doesn't work for you.
Hope it helps.
Hi major c,
I had the same problem a few days ago. I solved the 3ga to mp3 converting problem and wrote a small HowTo. I used the programm "3GP to MP3 Converter".
Here you will find a short description how to convert 3ga to mp3 files.
Hope this helps you,

While this method allowed me to play the file, I still couldn't edit it, since it's not actually an mp3 file. I tried the SUPER converter software suggestion posted earlier. Great conversion software that is completely free and supports the .3ga format (as well as many others). Worked for me.
thanks for links to super and formatoz otherwise I would be going around in circles.
got here via google!
I FIND GOOD WAY to make the file.3ga work just change 3ga to 3gp and play with windows media player ver 12 it work very good

I arrived here via google..
I had a 58 minute file that needed to convert, and although changing the extension did allow me to play the file on the computer, it began after the 12 or 15 min to have blank spaces in the audio (like if I pressed "mute" for a second every 20 or 30 seconds).
The solution with SUPER erightsoft did worked perfectly, dropped the file, selected mp3 and reenconded it in 10 minutes. I just played the entire file and it doesn't has any gaps or blank spaces.
Thanks!

Windows Phone 7 Stock Sounds, Alerts, and Ringtones

Here is the latest version of sounds for the Windows Phone 7 mobile operating system:
http://www.techimperial.com/2012/06/windows-phone-7-stock-sounds-ringtones.html
It's from Windows Phone 7 (Tango) Build 7.10.98.8773, all credit goes to the original composer(s) of the audio files, the files have not been modified. The archive is in ZIP format, download it and right click to extract the contents.

Thanks for the upload.
Here is a question, I have a Samsung Focus and by using the Advanced Config. app, I find a song listed in the sounds section. Any idea how to pull that? It's called "Sample". I assume it's a wmv file, but I can't seem to find a way to access it any other way, and I actually like it.
Got it with Windows Phone Device Manager.
converted to .ogg
Thanks for sharing! Those are lovely ringtones indeed (Ring05 , 06, Curve, Ginger are my favourites).
I mass-converted to Ogg Vorbis for us poor android folk that might want to use them ! ( i only left the two .mid MIDI files out)

You sir, are my hero.
I am currently using, windows phone 7, they are very stable, but I encountered a problem, when I downloaded the ringtone on an unreliable website, I spent a lot of time to fix it, and I Found a very reputable free ringtone website, that is. tonosdellamadagratis.net. There are many types of music here, lots of choices.

Accidentally deleted UI sounds.

As the title says, I deleted the ui sounds by mistake and I need to bring them back. If I found a download for the files that would work, but I can't seem to find any. The specific file I need replaced is system/media/audio/ui
If someone could provide that file for download, that would be amazing.
Hey Patrick, I read your post and I was actually generous to give you one of my ui sounds. Since I'm a New member, I can't puts links but I can put is this link:
dropbox(dot)com/s/x14zkga28iztjy5/LG_G3_ATT_UI_SOUNDS.zip?dl=0
Yes, they are att, but it's better than nothing, don't you thing? Anyways I hope you enjoy this since you deleted your system ui sounds. Note: since I was playing around with system ui "Effect_tick" I've sort of modded it and added the modded and original in the .zip file. Just rename "Effect_tick.ogg.original" to "Effect_tick.ogg" if you want old original tick sound. Or you can keep mine or make your own. Just remember to reboot after okay. Have a nice day bruh
