is there any solution or idea to get "S-Off"?
have you tryed following this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=964996
This might have been your case:
...
"Do NOT attempt to downgrade a Inspire or DHD shipped with Gingerbread with a Froyo RUU.
Do NOT attempt to install the ENG HBOOTs on these models.
Doing this WILL severely degrade bootloader performance on Inspires (and likely DHDs) and causes issues trying to install RUUs. In other words, it WILL jam you up. (Note: Issue now confirmed on later DHDs - ignore at your own risk)."
...
Get on the irc channel specified in the AAHK thread and ask for help there.
The guys there are really helpful.

Hey,
i have a problem with my Desire Z.
After installing CM7.1 it worked fine for about 5 days, then suddenly during the installation of an app it crushed, restarted itself and was caught in a reboot loop of nearly 40seconds.
So i reinstalled CM7.1... everything fine for 4 days... same problem, it appeared during the installation of an other app.
After that i tried to reinstall CM7.1 but no matter what i did, it always came up with the reboot loop... wipe cache, wipe data, factory reset, fix permissions... nothing did help.
So i found SuperWipe here on xda and tried it, and yep there we go, it worked again until today. The phone was a bit slow so i decided to shut it down, and then restart it, and there was it again, the bootloop.
I don't know what else i could do. So i wanted to send it back for warranty.
Now I'm searching for the right original Rom (RUU) and maybe a howto for that.
My phone:
VISION PVT ENG S-OFF
HBOOT-0.84.2000 (PC1011000)
MICROP-0425

eMMC-boot

eMMC-Sandisk 2223MB 4554751sectors
anything else?
Thank you

They're all stock roms and as you have S-OFF you should be able to flash them.
If RUU isn't working just flash one of the .zip roms there.
(Download the first *.zip file there, "Vision_TMOUS_1.12.531.0_Radio_12.18.60.05P_26.01.00.17_M2_144460.zip", rename it to exactly this name: PC10IMG.zip
Place it on the root of your sd-card and start the phone in h-boot, power+volume down button.... It'll check your SD card and ask if you'd like to update your phone.)
I don't know if after the flashing is done your H-Boot is also rewritten, but I believe it is.. So then you're unrooted as well.
If this bootloop behavior keeps happening, then your eMMC chip might be fried, if it's under warranty you could hand it in, after flashing a original rom. Then they'll replace the chip, or the entire motherboard.
Hi, it worked fine.
Now its:
VISION PVT ENG S-OFF
HBOOT-0.76.2000 (PC1011000)
MICROP-0425
RADIO-26.01.00.17_M2
eMMC-boot

But if I start adb shell, I'm still root?
Any idea?
Greetings
Try this tutorial if you want to unroot.. then it should be back in stock conditions..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=835971
But you also might want to wait and see if the boot-loop still exists before unrooting and handing it in.
Hello,
About a year ago, I rooted and S-OFF’ed my HTC Desire HD. I ran a lot of custom ROMs and was very excited about custom ROMs. About a week ago, my volume button came off. I wanted to return it to HTC, so I downloaded a RUU and installed it. I couldn’t get it to become S-ON again, so I decided to fix the volume button by myself (it’s completely working again, thanks to glue ).
Now I have the stock software version 2.50.405.2 with Android 2.3.3. My bootloader gives the following information:
Code:
ACE PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-0.85.0024
MICROP-0438
RADIO-26.09.04.11_M2
eMMC-boot

So, in a weird way it seems to be S-OFF, but I can’t flash a custom recovery. I’ve been trying to root my Desire HD for about 6 hours now, and I really can’t get it to do what I want it to do. I tried it with AMT ( forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1037315 ), and SuperOneClick. But everytime I try to use GingerBreak V1.20, it keeps hanging on the screen where it tells me to wait. I let it turned on and running for about an hour, but it doesn’t work. (Before the Desire HD can be downgraded , I have to root it first. As far as I know.)
This is what I think is happening: The bootloader has to be ENG S-OFF, instead of SHIP S-OFF. But to achieve that, I need to downgrade, and before I can downgrade, I need root acces.
Am I doing something wrong?
I searched everything, and I can’t find it. If I missed something, my apologies.
Can someone help me to restore ENG S-OFF (so that I can install a custom recovery and run custom ROMs), after being S-OFF and flashing a RUU?
Thank you very much in advance!
If I didn’t supply enough information, please tell me, and I’ll give it.
I'm getting pretty desperate, as everything I try fails. I hope someone in this awesome comunity can help me.
Kind regards, Tom.
You merely need to fastboot flash a recovery.img. Instructions are part of post #7 in the link in my signature.
Thanks for your reply!
I thought that I posted a reply a couple days ago, but it seems not to be placed. I might failed to press the "post" button.
It's fixed now, I flashed an ENG S-OFF HBOOT (forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1248608). Now, I can flash as much ROMs as my DHD can!
Hi XDA-devs,
I have a HTC Desire HD from Telus. I've hit a dead end after hours of searching, trying to no avail. I have seen similar attempts by others on the forums who have had a degree of success, but they also come from other paths.
I WAS running Clockwork Mod, with Cyanogenmod 7.2.0 and was attempting to bring my phone back to original Telus stock.
I was following this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1731324
I had downloaded the RUU EXE from that thread and ran it in administrator and like many people before me, the RUU could not detect my phone, I had tried installing HTC Sync, still no effect.
So like someone had suggested on that thread, that I extracted the ROM from the RUU, by using this method:
https://sites.google.com/site/androidbyyorzua/home/tutorials/extracting-rom-files-from-htc-ruu
I went to recovery, and tried to install that ZIP. it said. E:Can't open /sdcard/rom.zip (bad)
Assuming I had chosen the wrong option. So then I went to look how to FLASH the ROM. Searching I found the ULTIMATE ACE GUIDE on here: (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30020025&postcount=7)
Followed it's steps starting on Page 5. So far I only completed steps 1-7 which include Formatting Data/Wiping Cache and Formatting System. haven't actually installed anything new yet.
Upon rebooting, I got stuck on the White HTC Boot Screen, Pressing Vol-down + Power does not do anything, Pulling the battery just repeats this symptom.
Fortunately, I used ADB, and managed to get it back to HBOOT and eventualy back to Clockwork Mod Recovery. So as far as I know I'm not yet Bricked, but still need a good ROM to properly install.
Things you may ask me:
Clockwork Mod v5.0.2.0
My SD is goldcarded.
Obviously my Phone has been Rooted Before.
The Rom I was trying to install is: "RUU_Ace_Sense30_S_HTC_WWE_3.12.405.1_Radio_12.65.60.29_26.14.04.28_M_release_225512_signed.exe"
Update: I just reloaded Cyanogenmod 7.2.0 back on, so again, my phone is fine, it's simply a matter of finding a Telus Stock Rom that I can install via ZIP.
I cannot help in RUUs, but if you want Sense 3 you should really give a try for Android Revolution HD 9.0, that's a great ROM for that and doesn't have much changes in look compared to stock.
What's the point in all these RUU's and steps to extracting the ROM from it if they don't do anything ;P?
Are you S-Off or S-On? Is your bootloader relocked? What does hboot say?

Is there any other information I need to provide?
Hi guys,
two days already I am trying to flash a custom ROM to my HTC Desire HD.
First I managed to unlock the bootloader using the Easy Ace Root Tool and installed ClockworkMod.
Then I tried flashing JellyTime 4.2 R11 and it got stuck at the HTC logo screen. I tried all kinds of suggestions from the forums about wiping / formatting via ClockworkMod but with no success.
Afterwards I used a second phone to put the Download Android Revolution HD 7.3 ROM on the SD card and flash it. This one went fine through the installation wizard but when I was back to ClockworkMod recovery mode I got: "Can't open /cache/recovery/log" "Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log". Then I selected reboot and it was hanging on the HTC logo again... I was waiting for a minute before I took the battery out... After this I tried "format /cache" from the CWM but didn't help either.
Then I tried using a RUU utility in fastbood mode to flash an official HTC ROM: RUU_Ace_Sense30_S_HTC_WWE_3.12.405.1_Radio_12.65.60.29_26.14.04.28_M_release_225512_signed.
It reached a particular point saying that the update failed.
I thought I cannot install the official ROM because I have unlocked the bootloader, so I locked it again using the htc fastboot utility. This didn't help either and the RUU failed again.
Here is what the bootloader currently shows:
***** RELOCKED *****
ACE PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-2.00.0029

I am at a point when I am ultimately confused and I don't know how much time I have (in terms of battery I mean )
So I have just a couple of shots before this turns into a beautiful piece of aluminium brick.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Pesho
Fixed
Fixed it.. Had to flash the boot.img using the fastboot utility.
Best,
Pesho
I know this topic shown in other tread at Amaze 4G. But the answer was not complete since now I'm with HTC desire HD.

5.Rebooted into bootloader.
6.Let bootloader find the update and let it finish its update.
7.Rebooted phone.
How should I do now for my desire HD? what file actually he was asking to download?
my phone state now is
