Does anyone else have a problem with the Battery Indicator freezing while charging. It happens every time I plug in. Earlier today I plugged in at 11%, an hour later the battery indicator (both on the lock screen and the settings popup) said 11%. As soon as I unplugged it, it changed to 76%. When I plugged it back in an let it charge again it stuck at 76%.
Anyone else have this issue? Any idea how to fix it?
The only things I changed system wise is: I froze Acer Content Folders, Acer Registration, AUPEO!, clear.fi, and MusicA. And thats it!
mine does the same exact thing and i didnt freeze any apps.

Yeah it's a pain in the butt. I never know if its charged unless I unplug it. And if it isn't I have to plug it back in.

Oh...not that this fixes it but if you want to refresh the battery indicator without unplugging go to settings/about tab/battery use/ and hit the little refresh icon in the corner.

The other morning I woke up and unplugged my phone and the "Unplug your phone" notification wouldn't go away and the phone thought it was still plugged in. If I rebooted it would just turn off and keep going from the green batter charging icon to a black screen and back. Only way I could turn the phone on would be to actually plug it in again. Problem fixed itself that evening and the phone was fine for a couple days. Today the phone started with the same thing.
I've tried searching but couldn't find anything on this specific issue. Any insight? Thanks in advance.
Brand new ept4g and I got 6hrs of battery life its so lame I have hack so much bad luck with this bad boy but I'm not giving up.

This isn't a battery consumption issue...
Anybody have this problem yet?

I'm having the same problems the last few days. Also when I unplug my phone I get a red exclamation point over my battery widget, when i open the widget it says that the battery is over voltage and the red led light won't go off. Think i'm about to go see what best buy does for me. Been dealing w/ this problem for a few days now.
Did you get a replacement? I haven't had any free time to go to sprint with my problem. It is still happening often though.
I had a similar issue the other morning. Though my phone would only boot back up in recovery mode. I reflashed it to out of the box stock but that didn't make any difference. When it did boot up it would show that it was connected to the usb port but it would not be plugged into anything. I plugged it into a usb port on my computer that I hadn't used with the phone before and it reloaded the drivers on my computer and "that" issue went away. After turning phone off it would start rebooting itself immediately or with in a few seconds of turning off. I let the battery die completely and then recharged it and the automatic reboot went away, at least for most of the day, but last night I turned the phone back off and it rebooted itself. I did reroot and restore my phone after I got it to not show the usb connected or the battery charging while the phone was off icon. Just wish I could figure out why it wants to automatically reboot itself when I shut it off.
Same issue here

My Battery Monitor Widget shows a max of 1500mah? Wtf? And a measured of under 1200?
No wonder my battery life is crazy low...

I figured a way to shut the phone off and not have it automatically reboot. If after shutting the phone off the normal way and once the screen goes black but before the capacitive lights go out, if I again press the power button, the phone finally shuts down without rebooting itself. Not sure why this is happening but at least I can get it to turn off now.
I found better battery life by determining which app or apps drain the battery. I used Battert spy, cpu spy and system tuner. My problem was Touchdown exchange for Androir 2.x. I switched to Moxier Mail. I would get hours on moderate to heavy use. I got 22.5 hours yesterday on moderate use.
So I have been flashing alot of roms lately, been trying them all out. Just installed StarskyRom, and noticed that when my phone is turned off and I hook it up to the charger, the screen freezes when the battery load screen pops up.
Its the screen that comes up just prior to the battery level screen.... you know... the screen that freezes for a split second before the actual battery meter shows up. It just freezes at that point, and doesnt allow me to read the green charge level of the battery.
So anyways my keys stay lit up when its like this, or it wouldnt be that big of a deal.
Anyone have any idea how to fix this? Could a rom have done this?
Some people experience this on ei22. Try nomoarpowah from the market.

Im on frosty JB and randomly my phone just starts taking forever to charge. I left it charging overnight and it only got to 81%. I usually get to full battery in a couple of hours.
Anyone know whats up?

I'm running the same rom and I can tell you that every since I switched to JB, other chargers take longer to charge my phone than the original. If you are using the original, make sure you don't have an app preventing the phone from sleeping or possibly have your governor set to performance.
If I remember correctly, there is a "fast charge" setting somewhere, but I can't find it on my current (Darth Stalker) ROM. But other than that, you could A) turn the phone of while its charging overnight; or B) enable power-save mode and/or airplane mode while you are sleeping and the phone is charging. You could also turn off your data and wifi while charging overnight because its not like you'll be posting to Twitter in your sleep
Okay ill try out what you guys suggested but its just weird because it never did this before. It started happening when I flashed cm10. When I noticed this I flashed frosty jb back and the problem presists.

I have no Idea what happened. Title says it all. So here is what happened, I was about to launch a application and my system UI crashed (happens once a time) so I pressed the lock button to see if that fixed the problem but it didn't. So i took the battery out, waited a few seconds, and put the battery back in. When the phone started my battery was at 43%. Do I need to calibrate my battery?

So i noticed a couple weird things with my phone lately, hoping some of you guys could help me.
The first one is i had my lock screen on pattern for a couple months but i got the s-view cover so i went to switch to swipe but now i cant change the swipe effect, its stuck at none and cant be selected, when i used to be able to, anyone have any idea how to fix that?
Another problem is the phone seems to be running like ****, it has been slower than usual, and my battery life has gone down from using about 20- 50 % a day to 70-80% a day and i cant figure out why, none of my apps are running exceptionally long but the phone says that it is awake the entire time which is killing the battery. i just checked it it as i was typing this and i noticed after a week, it finally stopped being permanently awake and it seems to be depleting normally, again anyone have any clue?
You try a battery pull?
