[Q] Battery Calibration - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've been following battery calibration guides to the letter, and so far I've only gotten modest results. Is there a method that works specifically for Xperia Arc? I'm currently using Doomkernel v15 and Arconium, and have had other roms flashed previously..I'm not sure if that's a contributing factor.

guys, any ideas at all? could it be possible that I have a bad battery?

[Q] Battery help

Hey there guys my question is how can i improve battery life on my Evo? My phone is flashed with CM6.1, i flashed a theme called MattedBlue, I also flashed SnapTurbo v7.6bfs which i heard is for more stability and that it wouldn't effect my battery life, I currently get about 9 1/2 hours, heavily using the music player(PowerAMP). I heard some kernels would greatly help with battery life i just don't know which ones and will they work with CM6.1?

<Fix/Dev Request> Extended Battery Display Fix?

Hi guys,
I have an Xperia Pro (MK16i) with a new Mugen Power Extended Battery (3,400mAh). The problem is that our devices (not only the Pro, I assume) cannot detect the extended battery.
The symptom is this: It will reach 1% and then be stuck there till it eventually runs dry.
Help: Can someone please help resolve this issue? I remember using similar extended batteries on HTC devices and it is not a problem. Can this be fixed by comparing with other devices? Anyone knows what the problem (technically) is?
Would appreciate the help and assistance. I know there are many who are facing similar problems also. Thank you in advance.

Thanks a lot for guiding me to the right direction.
Unfortunately, I am using the new 4.0.4 ICS ROM... I doubt the kernel would work on mine right?
Would the Arc kernel be compatible with Pro kernel? Can I just push the relevant files or tweak the files myself? (not that I know how to compile a kernel myself... )
Or do I have to talk to Bazoocaze for an updated kernel for the 4.0.4?
Any feedback on these would be much appreciated

Yes, your best bet would be to talk to Bazoocaze about it.
Good news is, he is the expert on the Arc battery gauge, so if he has the time to work something out, he will.

I am currently running CM9 FXP 125 on my phone and was looking into installing and using super charger v6 on it.

[Q] Upgrade Rom and Kernel

Hello everyone
First i want to congrats all the persons how make all this tutorials, they really help me a lot.
And now the questions, i already read the forum and the rules and i know i cant ask for compare any roms or kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2097137) but i still need a few lights.
I need a kernel and a rom that help me save battery and can be fast enough for applications.
The last 2 i use was CM10 and FreeXperia kernel, and now i am using kernel vengeance and Xperia Ultimate HD 3.0. I test both with Antutu Benchmark and give me 4800 with Xperia Ultimate HD, and 5800 with CM10.
There is any combination Kernel/Rom that can help me make higher score and at same time save battery?
Many thanks

Welcome to xda forums.
It's useless to say that you have seen the rules and you still make this thread, the only answer that you should get and probably the only one you will get, is this one:
TRY yourself each ROM from the Android Development forums, and then you will see which one suits your needs, and serves you the best.
Also, don't forget that AnTuTu scores aren't 100% reliable, and they're based mainly on Governors, I/O schedulers and CPU Frequencies, it's not that reliable because I myself get better gaming performance with a Governor that gave me 5300, than with one that gave me 6000, they are just numbers.

Like above post said, try out the different ROM and kernel combinations yourself as the resulting performance is different for everyone because of the different settings you use and the different apps you install on your phone. If you want to find the most suitable kernel for your phone, check the ROM thread. Each ROM thread should have a list of recommended kernels that will work best with the ROM. For example, Jader recommended LuPuS kernel for his UHD ROM. However, if LuPuS does not work well for you, you can always try out other kernels in the recommended list. It differs with each user.
As for benchmark, it only gives a general idea of your phone's performance. It is not accurate enough to genuinely gauge phone performance. The one who determines that is yourself. Only you can tell if the performance is good by trying it out yourself.

Recommend Kernel/ROM for battery life?

Hey guys, I'm wondering if any ZL users can recommend the best configuration for battery life?
My ZL is c6506 unlocked bootloader. I don't use games so not looking for overclocking or newest feature tweaks.
Really trying to find most stable setup and settings for longest battery life, to do simple phone calling and web browsing.
Can anyone please share their recommendation?
