Im just wondering if anybody has come across a digitizer/lcd replacement for the epic touch? My screen is broken except for the bottom capactive buttons and I cant use insurance. I cant seem to find the parts anywhere though , compared to other phones. Any help? Anybody come across them?
The parts will run you around 150$, so it might be worth it to just pay the TEP.

This occured to me but I figured since its not about actual workings of the phone it might be ok in general. My aplogies . Yea I'm not sure I can use tep because the screen is cracked and it looks like my fault , I've also used tep too many times before. And on top of it all Its rooted with the little yellow triangle.....I'm willing to pay the $150 but I can't find the parts anywhere on the internet , nor does my local repair shop have any for the gs2.

only problem i can see with having a trading forum (and dont get me wrong, i would LOVE to have a trade forum on here) is that because there are SO many people on here, it just increases the chances of someone getting scammed or using it as an opportunity to get scammed!
i dont see why there couldnt be a classfieds section opened but you would have to have a certain amount of posts and would have to be 'approved' to use them by one of the mods (approval would mean you would either have to prove you are a legitimate buyer/seller or showing where you have other 'dealings' like on other forums and/or feedback like ebay, other forum feedbacks and anything that will support you and not basically make you seem like the ideal 'scammer'! i.e from nigeria, have an ebay account and $40 million dollar for the mods brother!

I was just curious if there was a way to change the screen resolution to a higher setting, for example, 540 x 960 like the DROID Bionic that was just announced.
This is easily done on PC's, obviously, I was just curious if it was possible on the Epic as well.
The screen has a certain number of pixels. That is what the resolution is set at.
Likewise, with PC monitors, the screens have a certain number of pixels (native resolution) and should pretty much always be run at this resolution.
There is no way to increase the number of pixels.
The current resolution is native to our screens (display) The hardware will need to support such resolution in order for it to be available and used. The Bionic may have a tighter DPI allowing for the increase.

Not to hijack the thread, but whats up with the hostilaty? I think the only people who feel they are special are the ones who get uptight about where stuff is posted.
Sure they're forums for different things, but I don't believe any lives were lost because someone new to the forums posted in the wrong forum. A lot of times I will be reading a thread, someone will link to something else, and then when I reply to the linked thread is where the problem occurs.
Your thought of conspiracy with people deliberatly posting in your developers forum are misguided I believe. But hey what do I know...
I've lurked here for a long time, if someone on their high horse feels the need to ban me because I've posted in the wrong forum, or spoken out of turn, or god forbid ask about Froyo then so be it, I'll go back to lurking.

Says the man without a single recent answer given in q&a. Like one to my question of why do some flashes to dk28 require a modem (like yours) and other ones, especially whosdamans, don't; and what the hell the modem is why is it relevant.
Exactly why the q&as don't get used.
EDIT: my apologies artemis its not personal. The cyclicity of the q&a argument is frustrating. And it does grow tiresome, especially because all parties are at fault.

You do not need the app for lcd destiny just fyi. Edit the build.prop and change the number under lcd destiny lower for more screen space.

Its a lethear slip on case. I free ball my phone until I am in the car and this case would work nice as a mount without having anything bulky in my car. (Suction cup mounts, ac mounts)

It obvious that you need to get that display replaced or checked. I'm not really sure why you need to create a thread for something so obvious.
If still under warranty, call HTC. If not then you just have to fix it yourself or pay someone to do so.
