I want to revert my ROM back to stock, but I can't seem to locate the proper one to download. Searching the forums revealed several links to ROM lists, but none of them seemed to be for my region. I have Sprint in the USA.
Any hints?
You can find the EG30 ODIN files in my signature.
The main post has 2 full factory restores for EG30 (Modem/Kernel/ROM). One resets your user data. The other does not. These are self-extractors bundled with ODIN, so a single package has everything you need.
In the 2nd post, there are individual ODIN tar files for the Modem, Kernel, and ROM. These are self-extractors with JUST the tar file. You provide your own ODIN installation.
be careful when searching the forums for roms.
it shouldn't be any harder then going to our development forum and looking through the first page. you don't want to flash anything not meant for this device.
Thanks
That did the trick. Nice to know it was that easy to get back to stock. I may play with a custom rom later on, but for now I'm going to leave it as is.

I'm trying to figure out if my N7100 has a BML or MTD partition before I flash a Rom. On my wife's Epic 4G, many of the Roms would vary and I would have to know which filesystem it used. I'm just trying not to brick my phone as I don't have insurance on it.
Also I can't seem to find the stock Rom for Odin over here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1896696
I then went to Samsung's site and still found nothing. I'm just trying to cover all my bases before I flash something. And not finding this software is making me think I have non-legit phone. I included a screenshot of my phone's info so someone can point me in the right direction.
I just need to know what the stock firmware for an N7100 with a build number: JRO03C.N7100XXALIE I read how there's some update that changes it to JRO03C.N7100XXALIH but I still don't know what country's firmware to download either way.
So with my USB being bad I have to use my buddies gnex to charge my battery. More of a problem however is the fact that every way I've found to get back stock involves connecting to a PC.
I've found a way to do it with "Mobile Odin" but you have to be on the same Android version as the Odin tar file. Only tar file I've found is 4.0.2 and I searched high and low for a 4.0.2 rom.
Any of u happen to have a 4.0.2 rom chill'n in you're HD to save my ass?
I have a Gnex-toro.
Nobody has a 4.0.2 Rom?

I think you must have warranty with any stock rom that comes from Google. Only thing you have to check is your bootloader. If that is closed you are fine.
What rom do you have now? and what recovery? and are you rooted?
And lastly, why do you want to go back to such an old version, and not some more recent stock version.
One last thing, you can try to buy the USB connector on ebay and replace yourself. Or you can try to send it to warranty in current condition, maybe they won't care since it's a hardware problem.
I'm on:
AOKP jb milestone 1 (4.2.2)
TWRP Recovery
Most definitely rooted.
As I said in my op, I need a 4.0.2 Rom in order for the only Odin tar file I've found to work. Its a 4.0.2 Odin tar.
If I replace the USB myself, I've just wasted many months of warranty payments.
If you want to create ODIN images of 4.2 you may be able to do that.
Chainfire supposedly did something like this here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1586807
Notice that these are for maguro and not your device, but you might be able to make odin files for your device from factory images, hints here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30366696&postcount=50
Hey, I just realized something: You're just looking for a 4.0 ROM, not an ODIN repack of a rom? I was confused.
You can try to get from goo.im (for example, http://goo.im/devs/aokp has old AOKP versions) or just travel back in the development forum and look at the earliest ROMs.
I'd take an updated Odin too. I'll look into making my own tar. I tried flashing img's from the 4.2.2 Google release but that didn't work.
As far as looking for a 4.0.2 Rom, I've tried. Oldest aokp is build 18 4.0.3. Odin file wouldn't work with it.
Here's where im getting my info from: post #48

for anyone else trying to get back to stock without a usb, i couldn't get it to work.
i borrowed my friends phone and usb port to get mine back to stock. these phones come apart pretty easy actually
I couldn't find a US cellular section. I have a Us cellular G s3 that was just rooted no custom rom or anything. I put awrp on it and that it. Its on 4.3, on SUnday I flashed a hacked hotspot file from sprint by mistake. On the stock ROM it get to the last samsung screen then stops. I couldn't figure it out. I put a custom ROM on and it always says roaming and can't do anything. so I dial *228 and it says welcome to Cricket so somehow it thinks its on Cricket. How can i get it back to US cellular? I have tried odin back to stock but no go. anything with a stock ROM it stops at the last samsung screen.

You are indeed at the wrong forum as this forum is for the i747U/M variants only. To try to assist you, however, you appear to have a brick caused by flashing the wrong ROM. Thankfully, it's only a soft brick and not a hard one so recovery should be possible. As you were already on 4.3, you would need to flash a complete 4.3 stock image compatible with your phone model. If my knowledge serves me right, the correct build number should be R530UVXUBMJA. You may go to sammobile.com or androidfilehost.com to search for the full downloadable zip and then flash that via custom recovery which you already have. Odin won't help you, I'm afraid, as 4.3 is not flash-able via Odin and if you are trying Odin, you are probably trying to flash an older bootloader which may just compound the problem. Hope this helps you.

sammobile.com is not working and the other site is hard to navigate. I am trying to search through the files to find the rom I need.

Sam is available and you may be able to find the firmware you need there by using the firmware search tool. Looks like you may also be able to find it on Samsung's website via this url ... http://samsung.com/us/mobileupdates/uscc/gs3
I have an unlocked metro pcs s4. I'm winding, since they are practically the same phone, off I can Odin back to stock, using T-Mobile software, assuming there is one? Then re-root.
Or do I have to Odin back using a metro pcs software? Also assuming there is one.
Reason I ask is because I've been doing a lot of rom flashing, and different kernels and add-ons, the phones starting to seem like it needs a fresh start.
I want to Odin back to a stock completely untouched software, then re-root, and only flash the tethering provision. That's all I want.
Thank you, I will be sure to hit like fit any helpful posts.
Before anyone throws down the "try searching" card. I have been searching for a couple hours. I would say that about 50% of users say that you cannot Odin a t-mobile firmware, while the other 50% are saying you can.
I have a T999L and have flashed pretty much every ROM, and with all of them, I have no signal. I wipe cache/factory reset, installed, rebooted, and never have a signal. When I go into mobile networks, there's no apn. I've tried everything I could find from others with this problem and can't get it to work. What am I doing wrong? I have literally been doing this all day. Since 10 am and it's now 12:30 am. I would've flashed the stock ROM sooner, but my phone hasn't been working right, so I figured a newer one would be beneficial.
Oh, and I've only been trying the ones that say they're for t999l or d2lte.
Flash stock firmware with Odin. If you're having problems on every single rom something is wrong with your device or firmware. Only way to know is the Odin flash.

Thanks for replying.
I had been using what you provided (thanks for that, btw - that was super fast and easy, so even if I don't have a custom ROM, at least I'm rooted!) I ended up flashing back to that so it at least works. I think before I found your thread, though, I tried flashing ROMs a and stopped because not many said specifically for LTE, so I just didn't want to keep messing around. Once I realized my device was different, I dug more an was saved by your thread. Anyway, is it possible I messed something up when I had originally flashed non-functioning ROMs?
Wow, so I think I figured out my problem, and it's indicative that I shouldn't have been messing around with flashing... I didn't realize firmware and ROMs were different. So since I was flashing 4.4 ROMs with the old firmware, would that result in my problem or a brick? Sounds like unfixable brick, so I'm clearly very fortunate to have a working phone right now! lol
I'm doing a backup now and downloading LUVUBNC1. I know to use Odin for the firmware, but it's a .zip file, which Odin doesn't do... Sorry, I've flashed plenty of ROMs on my old phones, so doing anything outside of a regular .tar in Odin or .zip in recovery is a new concept to me and I'm not having the easiest time finding directions.
Sorry I haven't replied sooner. Had a lot going on lately and its just been hard to do much online.
The firmware you downloaded just needs to be extracted. Its zipped just to make it a smaller download. when you unzip it, the resulting file should be a .tar.md5 file. This is what you flash with Odin.
As for Roms, as long as you stay in the T-Mobile subforums, you will be relatively safe. Just do not flash any firmware or modems that are not specifically for your model. Some people have had some issues with certain roms not working quite right on the T999L, but its nothing that causes permanent harm. If this happens you can always just flash back to a known good rom, or your stock firmware.
So for future reference, you can flash all of the Roms, Kernels and Recoveries found in these T-Mobile forums. (In fact, I suggest flashing either the d2lte or d2tmo recoveries over the d2ltetmo). Just remember, Firmware and Modems are ok ONLY if they are for your model.
And with regard to flashing 4.4 roms on old firmware, you don't need to worrry about a brick as long as you stick to what I just said. The only thing different is for 4.4.2 touchwiz roms (which are all ported from Sprint or AT&T). To run a 4.4.2 TW rom, you must be updated to the 4.3 firmware (which you are if you are running NC1). But even so, if you were on earlier firmware, it wouldnt hard brick, it would just hang at boot.
I hope that clears things up a bit for you!
