I want to make a custom status bar for android, but I will use it on my Samsung galaxy ace. I DON'T want to root my phone to do so. I will make this open source which I will upload to my app website every time I update the code. Anyone want to help?
There's no way doing so without root. You may mod that based on a rooted custom rom
Apps
But what about those apps like SuperStatusBar, or StatusBar+

Hello, I'd like to know, if possible, install the circle green battery mod on my Stock JB 4.1.1 (Spain) or any kind of mods I can install on my rooted Galaxy S3!
Cheers.

Could you show me? And also if possible a transparent notification or homescreen status bar (odex)?
Cheers.
Root your cellphone
Have a look at your build number, I think Spain JB stock odex is DLIH
Have a look in this section for the mods you wish to flash that are specific for your build number, most of what you want are in the first 2 pages.
Download the zip files, pass them to your phone.
Get into recovery mode
Make phone backup
Flash the zip files
Reboot
Have a look at the many tutorials here or google on how to use CWM before doing any flashing to make sure you know what you are doing. I'm still very newbie on this so my advice may not be the best, so read up on flashing ROMS and Mods, etc. so you don't end up bricking your phone.
Good Luck
First, sorry if this should be somewhere else, I tried to reply to a couple threads that related to this but was told that I was not allowed to do so.
Okay, I have been trying to fix this for a few days now to no avail. I have a T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2. When I got the phone, I rooted it, left the stock rom (because I want full s-pen functionality; none of the custom roms I tried provided full support), and flashed a couple jb files to change the battery icon/center clock/toggles/remove brightness bar, etc.). Everything worked fine.
A few days ago I decided to upgrade the firmware to have the multi-window support. I wanted to flash the jb files again to customize the notification bar toggles, battery icon, etc. However, after doing so, I get a system ui has stopped error message and I have no notification bar whatsoever. I tried some of the other jb files with the same result. The only other customizations I can find are supported by Android 4.1.2; however, I am at 4.1.1. I have looked endlessly for a way to go up to 4.1.2 or 4.2 but the only options I see for this upgrade are supported in India/Europe/etc. I cannot find a version to upgrade and stay with a stock rom. I have tried cyanogen which works for the Android update; however, does not fully support the s-pen. So, I'm stuck.
I definitely want to be able to:
have multi-window feature
have full s- pen support
customize the notification bar. (change color, center clock, circle battery icon with percentage in center, remove brightness slider, remove line underneath each toggle button, remove samsung clear notification button - basically the features that the JB themes provided)
keep root access
Not necessary, but would also like to upgrade anything above Android 4.1.1. I also like all of the customizations that cyanogen 10.1 offers; however, the s-pen support is a must.
If someone could help me I would be incredibly appreciative. I would like to know what to flash or what files work. I have used romkitchen before to customize an older phone, but can't find anything like that to keep the features I want. I would be willing to pay/donate if these files don't currently exist and someone would like to offer to make them for me to flash.:fingers-crossed:
Model SGH-T889
Android 4.1.1
Baseband T889UVALK8
Kernel version 3.0.31-598701/[email protected] #1/SMP PREEMPT
Build JRO03C.T889UVALK8
Still needing help if anyone can!
I want a iPhone-styled status and notification bar (without the time on it, preferably hidden, and toggle buttons), but I can't find any custom made status bars like that in this thread or any other thread, so I decided to ask out for anyone to help me do one (yes, I am considered a noob).
Anyone who can make something like that here? I don't want to flash my ROM again because it took a lot of my time reflashing and editing lots of system apps (with the sad case of using a outdated ODIN). Is it possible to just changing the insides of SystemUI.apk?
Device: Samsung Galaxy W i8150
Build: GINGERBREAD.XXLMG
Kernel: 2.6.35.7-1206759
Baseband: I8150XXLMG
P.S.: I flashed my W with a stock ROM and removed lots of its system apps that I do not use, and this used up a lot of my time, so I don't like the idea of reflashing my phone, just want to change the status bar to iPhone-style (especially iPhone 4S with the time icon removed OR at least positioned in the middle of the status bar). I have been trying a few stuff on my own via these threads by Ticklefish (credits to him):

If anyone can make it, I would like to ask you to do two versions of it:
1. iPhone stock version with transparency of 75-100%
2. iPhone stock version
Thanks for your help.

You want mods added to a ROM? Editing a current ROM is a horrible way to go about it when you have all this source code laying around. There is currently a help thread in this nexus forum explaining EXACTLY what you want.
