[Q] MODs on Stock JB - Galaxy S III Themes and Apps

Hello, I'd like to know, if possible, install the circle green battery mod on my Stock JB 4.1.1 (Spain) or any kind of mods I can install on my rooted Galaxy S3!
Cheers.

Could you show me? And also if possible a transparent notification or homescreen status bar (odex)?
Cheers.

Root your cellphone
Have a look at your build number, I think Spain JB stock odex is DLIH
Have a look in this section for the mods you wish to flash that are specific for your build number, most of what you want are in the first 2 pages.
Download the zip files, pass them to your phone.
Get into recovery mode
Make phone backup
Flash the zip files
Reboot
Have a look at the many tutorials here or google on how to use CWM before doing any flashing to make sure you know what you are doing. I'm still very newbie on this so my advice may not be the best, so read up on flashing ROMS and Mods, etc. so you don't end up bricking your phone.
Good Luck

[Q] Flashables?

first, i apologize if this is in a few threads all over these forums. ive tried reading through most but they are cluttered and outdated.
i have been looking for a few theme/mods in flashable form to use on a rooted stock/RUU rom.
i have been messing around with other roms trying to edit my own but it's becoming a very large hassle without a proper desktop and internet connection.
anyways, if anyone could point me to a thread with a working flash or tutorial for:
white taskbar (possibly similar to mikfroyo's theme)
battery icon with % (not metamorph files)
again, sorry if this information is in an obvious place, i cant seem to find it. thanks.

the battery icon one you can find in my sig, the links is for stock de-odexed ROMs though. If you have another ROM look at the OP for different versions of it
thanks so much!
Actually this one may work better for you, the other one was for an older version and is glitchy so I added the battery icons to the new framework.
Stock 3.30.651.2 Battery % Icons
Note: Be sure to wipe cache & dalvik before rebooting.
the 2nd file worked perfectly, thanks.
if anyone has a tutorial or flashable white task bar mod please inform me. thanks again.
hey shutuproman dude. you need a de-odexed rom to theme. this means .odex files that hold stuff for each .apk won't contradict the apk, causing massive force floses, and reboot. find a de-odexed rom, and you can flash whatever the hell you wnat.

You may be able to get away with it if you delete the .odex file, I've never tried it though. If it works it could easily be added to the updates script so it is done automatically.

[REQ] Stock EB13 Deodex Template with Power Mod, 1% battery, No Pop Up.

I am far from knowing how to get this going myself so I hope that one of the themers on here might oblige me by making this possibe. I like running stock for a bit since I am new to the Epic. But I would like the ability to have Reboot and Recovery from the Power Menu as well as the 1% battery option as well as No battery pop up from a stock deodexed template. I would still like all stock apps to remain in place as I remove those at my own leisure via root explorer or 7-zip prior to applying the zip. I am rooted and have no worries there but I have no idea how to get the .xml files edited or add any of these features. Especially on Froyo. Thanks in advance for the read and hopefully assistance! I am all for testing as well so...
I am really surprised that no one else seems to want this. If someone is able to do it can you include the camera fix and call log fix unless those are kernel issues which a kernel is taking care of it already. Please someone help us out!

Here is one link to a rooted deodexed stock install and there are a few others in Android Developement. Then you can add battery mods to that.

How can I chance the notifications screen to that one?

I want to change the notification screen to this one, is it possible? how can I do it?
Not sure I can see the identical screenshot, but there are very similar themes in JKay's theme mod thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1154278
Or maybe try the uot kitchen?
http://uot.dakra.lt/
it is a screenshot from Steel Blue CM7 Theme for SGS2
how can I use this theme with my rom?
This is my baseband version: I9100TJJKF3
my kernel: 2.6.35.7-I9100TJJKG1
build number: GINGERBREAD.JJKG1
Oh right - you could have said so...
Seems like you need a custom ROM first - choose one then the installation seems pretty straightforward, all you need is in that thread (Steel Blue thread)
If it's your first time for a custom ROM, read, read, read and search
If I will flash the custom rom and then re-flesh to my rom the theme will be gone? I have to use the custom rom all the time for this theme?
Sorry, I'm not concentrating or reading enough myself
There are themes for stock firmwares there - see post#2 - but not yours (KF3).
So if you want this theme on stock firmware, you'll have to choose another stock ROM (KF2 for example).
Yes, if you reflash stock over a custom ROM you'll lose the theme.
If it's only the notification bar you want and nothing else, I'd try the uot kitchen if I were you. I've not tried it myself, but it seems user-friendly, supports stock ROMs and you can customise just about everything.
I dont know how to use the uot kitchen, can you please help me?
I want to change the notification screen and bar to solid black, like on the pic I posted
Sorry - as said, I've never used it, and I'm offline for the next few hours.
Hope someone else can help.
Decompile SystemUI.apk, browse to /res/drawables-hdpi/ and find the picture you want to change, replace it, compile it and switch the drawables-hdpi folder in the apk

can you please explain step by step how to do it?
I'm new to android. I know how to flash roms and kernels but that's it.....
As I'm sure Bruflot is well aware of, his "advice" is something that someone new to this shouldn't touch with a bargepole.. I'm still new enough not to try...
Just tried a quick go with the uot kitchen and it will do what you want, just play with it. The "generate preview" will help enormously. If I had time I'd do it for you, but screaming kiddies await me...

You want mods added to a ROM? Editing a current ROM is a horrible way to go about it when you have all this source code laying around. There is currently a help thread in this nexus forum explaining EXACTLY what you want.

there are a lot better launchers than the Go one you tried. ADW for one is way better with Nova coming in very close.
You could also install the Xposed framework that has a couple modules that will help you change lots of visual elements. It also allows you to fine tune and add nice features to your OS.
did you try with buzz laucher?
no not yet...ive installed adw and spent the day with it...il check for the buzz one...
well tried nova and buzz and none of them satisfies my needs....its really the notification bar that bugs me the most. and the other thing is that i have a locked bootloader and unlockable...
i really dont know if im gonna change the firmware,i guess im too used to the samsung way to flash hehehe
is there a stock rom/ firmware with the BLUE notification bar ?...and DONT talk about Cyanogen PLEASE
ive dloaded xposed famework and install
i bought xposed statusbar mod...tried everything and only tha batt and clock goes to blue color...
cusromize ur rom
I don't think you can do so with any launchers you have to customize rom .
i wont...its gonna go back to the store

Are you really giving up that easily? And what is this white bar you're talking about, the small one between notifications and quick settings?
This has a blue theme that might be what you want: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2239387
Yhe bar im talking about is the one with clock, batt, signal, wifi ect.
i got Xposed to work by changing icon pack and now the wifi and signal icon is too small.
ive read most of th thread you linked to but as i can see,its for unlocked bootloaders....as mentioned above,i cant unlock mine.
and i read somewher also that he's getting bored with his phone...with that said (in my mind it says its a pita to work on ) hehehe.
im an old ***** that want thing fast and quickly done...another point for samsung flashing method with odin

It says right in the title thread that it's for locked bootloaders...
And what you're looking to change are the statusbar icon colors. That bar at the top is the status bar. Notification panel is when you slide the status bar down and you can see your notifications.
Yea, don't give up that early
There are a couple stock roms like the one posted above and a flashable dark mode for most system apps.

Download the ROM either on the phone, or on your computer and copy it to your phone, I suggest using an app like titanium to backup your apps and settings then go into recovery by pressing volume key as the phone boots then install > select the downloaded ROM > wait > once it's done, reboot, enjoy.
Damned piece of crap...
ive done a full recovery of the firmware from pc companion
now ive lost data transfer....only got phone working
im done....im sick of it
