Instructions
No need to wipe data coming from any Stock ROM (ITL41F-base)
Boot into Clockwork
Make a FULL NAND Backup
Wipe dalvik and cache
Flash ROM
Reboot
First boot may take a few minutes to update. Also, any previous ITL41F mods *won't* be compatible with ICL53F - I'd advise NOT flashing them until new mods are created.

My device is from Verizon. I would like to flash a deodexed rom. Which one of these do I use if I have a "mysid/toro" build? Is that the same as the top link?

Looks like your using a mod for build ITF41F?

No, the kernel is 3.0.8 in ICL53F, ITL41F has 3.0.1
Hi !
Why do you wrote "possible extra requirements" ?
I'll flash mu Nexus (i have stock ITL41F) with clockwork recovery...do i have to install also other files ? (kernel, radio ecc).
It's not a 'full image' of Google Ota update ?
Weird, Facebook text is blank, both native and web. Maybe odex problem.

It is a full Google Update (from there Firmware pages as mentioned in Post #1) However, I've split out the bootloader AND Radio ROM from this release, as people have a tendancy to pick&choose what they want installed. Also, regarding Radio, there are different Radio's for different countries, and results vary regarding what baseband and bootloader you install.
You can update bootloader or Radio easy enough (link in Post #1) and in doing so, it won't relock or unroot your Nexus.

As soon as the 4.0.3 OTA's have been released I'll get it sorted!
Going to be concentrating on my own AOSP-flavoured ROM soon though, which will have a few modifications on to suit my own needs (I will release it though, but it will probably remain feature locked/have a few customisation options here&there)
how do i flash the updated radio and the kernel in post 1 do i use odin?
You use fastboot command 'fastboot flash radio <file name>.img'

Nice one
Great stuff , now we will be on the bleeding edge
Will flash now and report back later this afternoon
edit - I take it the nightly drops are about to start?
Edit - looks good and seems to work correctly, setup however asked for everything twice however I just cancelled that anyway. Everything syncs except calendar this keeps asking for me to sign in but I'm not able to use the same address as everything else (btw gallery syncs ok)
Oh and it FLYS!! faster then even villains rom!
BTW I love the settings icons are back on notifications !
EDIT - Calendar does sync and I dont get asked twice for account details on first boot now I re-wiped and reflashed
Look forward to the feedback on this one
Woohoo! CM9 has arrived!
Flashed this one, working fine for me.
TTS not working well for the moment but as i don't use it right now.

Hi all!
I've started playing more with my Kindle Fire so i've made a first early MoDaCo Custom ROM for the device.
Flashing is recommended using TWRP, ALWAYS BACK UP BEFORE FLASHING! Wipe is not required.
Features:
Based on the 6.3.1 release
Heavily optimised and compressed to take as little space as possible and perform as fast as possible!
Includes Google Services Framework and Google Play Store, masquerading as Galaxy Tab for maximum app availability
Optional Google Books / Music
Network location support (for Maps etc.)
Rooted with Superuser
Insecure boot image (for 'adb remount' etc.)
init.d support
TweakDeck Twitter client Kindle Fire version (can be uninstalled)
I'll be doing more tweaks as I mess around with the device more together with more kitchen features, so watch this space.

Hi Paul, nice to see you´re working on the Fire, I´ve been using your Nexus One roms for a long time and they are great. One question, does flashing this ROM erase FireFireFire and TWRP like the stock one? I supose it does not but just to check, I had a very nasty experience flashing the stock rom.
No it does not, it is designed to run alongside firefirefire and TWRP.
P
Thanks for the dev!
But I do have a quick question about this ROM - does it still support Amazon Video?
I want all the bennies of being rooted with google apps, but want to still be able to take advantage of my amazon prime membership...
I'll try Amazon Video on mine and let you know.
This is my starting point.
P
love the stock ROM. I'll be trying this later for sure.
*/fingercrossed any chance app compatibility is better?
flashed and running...nothing really wowing me yet, but ive not done much with it so far
up and running and a promise of lighterweight and faster is A+

What are exact optimizations? zipalign? odex? please explain what was optimized in details.
Hi, just flashed it. I was using CM7 and wiped cache/dalvik/system. But some apps i had installed are still installed and i think this is giving me some problems, the process android.process.media is FC all the time so it´s annoying. What else do i have to wipe to have a clean installation?
Thx

My own optimisations as on all MCRs, of course zipaligned etc. etc. too.
Not odexed, i'll be adding my 'OdexMe' app in a future release for optional on-demand odex.

Coming from CM you will probably need a full wipe of data as CM is signed with different certificates, which means the system will have a fit with lots of mismatches in the core apps / frameworks!

OTAs are effectively blocked by installing TWRP no?
That aside, it will depend on exactly what the OTA does, but it doesn't block the checking mechanism.

Jelly Bean 4.1.1 OTA update released. This file patches your stock firmware to Jelly Bean.
Apply zip over STOCK T999UVALH2 found here
OTA: T999UVDLI7
OTA: T999UVDLI6
OTA: T999UVDLI3
OTA: T999UVDLH3
Stock firmware T999UVALH2
1. Download and install stock (if you are not already on stock rom) This is needed as a base. The update will otherwise fail
2. Download OTA
3. Apply zip in recovery menu
4. Enjoy Jelly Bean 4.1.1
Since I dont have this model myself, the OTA update is not tested by me.
Please use this at your own risk.
If you want anthing to be added to the post, please PM me.

Well, the OP did say to install stock first before using this. So I'm assuming it is more of a patch than a full OTA.

It is a patch yes. Thats why the correct Stock is needed. The update will check the integrity of every file that it patches. Therefore you cannot use a custom rom as base. The same procedure have been done successfully on the international Galaxy S3.
Im guessing we loose root with this patch
This gives me a good reason to finally root again. I was happy with the latest ota lol

I am more than wiling to try this but have a few questions:
1. Is this an official (leaked) OTA developed by Samsung/T-Mobile for SGH-T999 or a port?
2. I have the STOCK T999UVALH2 but am rooted and have custom recovery. Do I have to unroot first or simply flash the zip in custom recovery?
3. I got my phone unlocked, not using an unlock code but another method (all I know about this method is that my phone says "Restricted Access Changes". I did not loose the unlock when I updated to T999UVALH2 via Kies. Is there any chance I may loose the unlock upon flashing the zip?

1. This is official OTA downloaded directly from Samsungs own OTA servers and is made for specifically for the SGH-T999
2. I guess it will work without unrooting. But Im not 100% sure. I mean, it's the same kind of OTA that is sent out to your phone eventually. The OTA contains a recovery, so your current one will be overwritten.
3. No idea regarding unlocking.
To be on the safe side, make a backup, flash stock, flash OTA.
am going to flash it as soon as it downloads .

I tried installing with the above filed in the internal and external sd cards. I didnt flash STOCK T999UVALH2 as I had already updated to T999UVALH2 via Kies.
Any ideas? Do I need to do a factory reset or unroot?
I would suggest flshing stock and wipe. the try the OTA.

Updated from stock rooted UVALH2. Clear data, cache, and dalvik cache and flashed in CWM. It took a little long to flash but everything worked. It really is 4.1.1 jellybean. However, it is not smooth whatsoever on the homescreen and app/widgets drwaers. Less smooth than ICS. Menus and the recent apps screen are smooth like they should be for project butter and smoother than ICS. I kept my root even after i flashed which surprised me.
Some changes...
-Access Google Now from Recent apps screen
-S Voice settings in the system settings menu
-Jellybean clock in drop down status bar/notification area
-5 app dock on the lockscreen
-2 different types of homescreens--basic and easy.
-New t-mobile bloatware
-Probably more I just havent seen yet

On Yakju version I have added /data/app/ functionality! I added Flash player to /data/app/ because at least I had issues with Flash Player on Takju version, maybe because I didn't delete Flash player before flashing my takju deodexed ROM! If you are having Flash player issues on Takju then go to /system/app/ and install flash player again by replacing it..
Flashing:
Wipe cache and dalvik cache and then flash the ROM.

I'm not seeing any link on IE8/10, Chrome, Firefox, Dolphin Browser or the XDA app...
Weird, I'm able to view it on the XDA app and in Firefox. The link is a .png image linked to the download server, does that get affected by some XDA forum settings?
I will add regular text links shortly, apologies.
Okay, the .png album was set to private, changed to public, still cannot view links in Chrome, so added regular text links.
Should work fine now. Thanks for letting me know Archeob

I tried copy.com at first, it failed (thrice) at the very last mb lol
Installed no problems
In case somebody wants the speedometer and digital number battery I have uploaded the systemui rename and set to permission to 644 in the system/app folder .
Digital Numbers by ZaphodBeeblebrox
Some Icons from Mad theme found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2183099
If i forgot somebody just let me know as i have 1TB of icons from so many different roms that its hard to keep track of where they came from
It installed fine and everything seems ok for now, except for a few reboots that may be due to the SaberKernel I installed.
The option to sync email to exchange servers (Hotmail) seems to be missing. Anyone know which apk would be responsible for that?

Push these two files to system/app set permission 644 reboot. Now as soon as i did this it updated Samsung Push Service
I also deleted the Emailgoogle.apk
Ok the files are to big to upload here if you have a stock MA3 deodexed then pull SecEmail.apk and SecExchange.apk out of the zip and see above
Hoping you will soon release a i317m Stock Rooted 4.3 now that it's officially out and available on Sammobile. Thank you again for all your hard work!

this would be amazing...rooted, de-odexed, etc...4.3.....
Need to research Knox. 4.3 comes with Knox, Knox affects a lot of things. I heard we don't get the Air Command feature?

Yeah, no Air Command, but at least with a stock de-odexed, etc... we can start to port it from Note 3. I saw a working (but laggy) example of it working on a video on youtube, but the link escapes me. That Knox is a troublesome jerk
Stock Rooted 4.3 [t0ltecan] for SGH-I317M

I currently running DN4.3.2 and having issues setting up my exchange email. Can I follow these instructions to get back to stock 4.1.2?
This ROM is Not a stock ROM, It's a stock-rooted ROM with a few additional stuff (see OP). If that's what you want, worth a try.

I've tried to create a similar 4.3 version of the ROM without any success. I follow similar steps as I had for 4.1 and leaked 4.3 rom, but in TWRP it warns that no OS is installed. I'm assuming that Samsung has moved critical data to other system partitions? Would be interested in collab.
