Awesome! Although I don't use flash as often on Mobile devices. Its still nice to have.
Seems to be the good old flash, already crashed my phone in the first 30 minutes whilst using it.
720p youtube videos, whilst looking good has lagging audio.

Wonder why they are ok, do you not find a gap between audio and video after a couple of minutes?
Was watching a video on amazon prime and after 10 seconds, my phone crashed and rebooted itself
haven't tested intensively and it appeared alright. It was just 480p video though
Need a hulufied version.
how to watch the full daily show:
1. open a new incognito window
2. turn on 'request desktop site'
3. go to www.thedailyshow.com -- which seems to redirect you to www.comedycentral.com from where you can click the daily show and click full episode
(the incognito window is to prevent their website from reading your cookies, because if you previously tried to visit their website from your phone they will remember)

Can it be disabled?
Installed it and the adobe flash test page appears to be working ok!
Any good mobile flash websites worth checking out?
Installed it last night, works but it slows the browser right down.
Just have it disabled untill I think I will want to use it. Which won't be any time soon!

Flash is working flawlessly on mine. I've been playing 1080p embedded youtube videos without any trouble, I'm very impressed I wasn't expecting such perfect performance from it tbh.
I quote tung_meister, i discovered the ICS Flash is pretty good, also with Flash always on the browser is still fantastic and smooth

it does, to which my Galaxy S2 using mother said WOW when she watched one.
In the YouTube app I had to go into the settings and check use HD video. After that the videos looked a lot better.

Do you mean the 'High quality on mobile' setting in the General section? That just defaults the playback to HD when not connected through wifi. HD streaming on youtube can consume quite a bit of data if you are on a mobile network thats why its set by default to low def in the settings.
Mark.
Thanks for the answers guys - as an avoid YouTube watcher, I am excited for the 720p vids!

As mentioned if you enable 'High quality on mobile' in the general settings then you 'should' be able to watch 720p streams over 3g but it will consume alot of data.
Mark.
For some odd reason, my YouTube app seems to be playing the wrong video all the time on Wi-Fi. Perhaps something to do with my ISP?
I can only watch HD videos when on wifi. HD dosent work over 3G any fix?

This does not work on my phone.
I have unlimited data on Three so I dont care about my Data Consumption however videos still play at something around 360p even with HQ on and the options ticked in the settings.
I have the same issue. HD over mobile checked in youtube, but still can't view videos in 720p. Any one got a solution?
I hooked my Galaxy Nexus up to my 50" plasma, and Youtube looked great on there. Netflix looked horrible.
I unrooted and went back to the stock 4.0.2 and videos are still not showing up in 720p while on 3g. The reason I tried that was because I vaguely remember that it worked when I first got my galaxy nexus. Anyway, going to go back to 4.0.1 and see if that helps.

Thanks. You're probably right. It's just that using the youtube desktop site with the browser, I have no problem viewing/buffering any 720p on my 3g network. If only you can force the resolution manually in the youtube app.
My parents just got one of those HD sets with it built in and so I finally tried this feature. It worked really well aside from some pausing, which I'm guessing is choking due to it being a 720p video from my phone and maybe the connection. The video itself was only about 45 seconds.
But what chiefly impressed me other than the proof of concept was that the devices recognized each other right away. Does anyone use it and is it smoother than my experience?
I've used it once before and put my music from my phone onto my ps3 other than that not really but I agree it is pretty awesome

Hmmm...You should be able to find the apk around somewhere and put it back. I use Titaniaum backup and was able to keep it with that. I believe I have seen it available somewhere though. dlna.apk if I remember right is AllShare.

i just tried to install the apk for this and it will not install, i adb pushed it to /system/app and it still doesnt show up or anything. i am by no means an expert at this but i try alot of different stuff on my phone, anyone have anything else i can try to get the apk to install? i pulled the ak from this google spreadsheet, and it shows up at allshare v2.0

Does it ever choke or stutter on larger video files? Is the DLNA protocol somehow bandwidth limited? Maybe distance is a factor, or is it CPU/memory of the phone? Just curious because my one test choked some.

I've found that if I use the samsung task killer widget to kill apps (just hit the X), then go run allshare subsequent videos all run fine.
If I don't and just start trying to share videos, yeah it stutters badly.
I have a samsung plasma with all share and imediashare will play video to it without any problems

Hmm I just installed imediasharelite. I didn't have to kill anything to get it to stream videos without stuttering. Nice.
I'm running CM7 now, and it doesn't have allshare, so I'm using skifta, it's a great alternative.

Grateful to know what's better? I'm always on the lookout, especially if it"s free to download. Couldn't find anything on the Playstore that reliably allowed playback of YouTube vids outside the YouTube app. I'm running a stock ICS rom, so would have to count out any apps that required a rooted device..

Purchased the Jynxbox and was somewhat disappointed at first. The wifi antena is horrible, you want to use a cat 5 connection for this TRUST ME regardless what the box says your connection speed is, it is NOT!
Once you have it setup, immediately root it which you can do from the recovery screen. Careful, once your in the recovery screen, there is no way out of it till you root. So back everything up first.
Install MX Player, MX Player Codec arm6 & arm7
Launch MX PLayer, within settings select decoder: check mark S/W decoder (local, Network) Un-check S/W Audio. Now for CPU Core limit, set it to two as the Jynxbox is dual core. Color depth choose 16bit since we are using S/W decoding.
Now navigate to xbmxhub and locate the xbmc android download. Install this, and run it for the first time.
This should help you get the best 1080 resolution till someone tweaks XBMC to use hardware decoding on android.
Within Android settings, I specified the standard display screen size which for my gym screen its 720. I also set the Audio to RAW. This will help you TONS in regards to voice dropping out during playback.
Hope this helps,
John.

I purchased this unit and I absolutely love it. it was very frustrating at first to get it working just right. There is not a lot of information out there quite yet, but it is growing rapidly.
It certainly doesn't work out of the box as everyone states. Now that I finally got it all tweaked it is a great little device. I am looking forward to the future when all the developers jump on it and start tweaking it even more.
The gyro remote is very difficult to get used too, but once you do, it is quite nice. There are times it doesn't respond like it should.

The Web Browser works fine, I also have facebook and twitter set up on it and many other programs and games. They all work great.
The biggest issue I found with getting XMBC to work properly was the "playercorefactory.xml" file. Most websites I went to recommend using the MX Player Free. I was having a lot of problems using just that player. So I downloaded Archos, TPlayer and WonderShare also. I set up my playercorefactory.xml file to use TPlayer as default.
I am using the following firmware:
last_update_Hiolux_20130205
And this is the version of XMBC I am using:
xbmcapp-armeabi-v7a-debug-2013-03-05-full-neon-a4e1e953d9cbfdc0b4d6b3624cdf289dd2ebf60e
Like I said, out of the box, it was very frustrating and unfortunately their isn't much information as of yet on the internet in regards to this little box. But I have noticed just in the past couple of weeks their is more and more people jumping on it. Once you get it running it is a great media player.

Odd.. I had no problems. If I start up youtube again, it defaults lower, but when I switch it stays for that session.
Couldn't get 1080 or 1440 to work on 5.9. 5.10 works fine for me though. Occasionally I have to restart the video to get the setting to stick

Same here. To all having trouble, try deleting app data and rebooting. Other then that I'm out of ideas
