I seen that they have minecraft for android now was wondering if anyone got ot working on the epic

Accidental thanks errrr lol. This is the Xperia Play Exclusive Version we can run it on our Epic, but the second we commit an action on hw keyboard the app can crash and or freeze depending on the state of our Ram. The Play has functions on it's slideout that would be wayyyyyyyy to hard to map onto any qwerty phone.

The Xperia Play has two independent gamepads(like analog sticks but flat) on it if I'm correct which make multidirection movement possible on the device in games. The issue isn't mapping the keys it's the fact that the functions to map the keys don't exist outside of the Play's inner frameworks. Or Sony for that matter. People have used Bluetooth and used PS3 remotes but certain things didn't work. Our Phone doesn't contain the bluetooth stack to do that. They're "supposed" to be bringing it to the rest of Android but companies like Nvidia and other processor manafacturers have fragmented android gaming. Harshly.

I just saw of video of a minecraft pocket edition coming to all android the 29! Search it on youtube

They just launched it.
They just launched the version for all phones.
Just downloaded it and it works great on the epic, although when switching to "fancy graphics mode" I notice a little lag.

No lag for me.
The game still needs a lot of work before moving to mobile devices.
They definitely need to add Survival Mode in and have keyboard functionality.

I just wasted two hours playing that building a house and accompanying lawn

I played with the demo a little bit. It is nice if you want to build a quick house while waiting for something in the real world. I wouldn't buy the full version though.

Notch released Minecraft for Android. I purchased it and it is just like the original. Crafting is not an option yet, it is just like the original Alpha launch. There is also no survival mode yet, but it is found on the market.

I played it a little, the demo anyways, and it didn't seem that there was much to do, but it is just released so no complaints. Hopefully they will let you connect to public minecraft servers soon

The need to put crafting also =P

What is the point of minecraft? I watched the video on the game's webpage called "This is Minecraft" and it doesn't explain why anyone would play....let alone pay for this.
Is it multi-player? It looks like a "Sims" type game but with atari graphics.

What are you gonna do with your next phone? Transfer over all your contacts? LOL.
And then rinse and repeat.
Seriously, what more do you need/want? T989 is super fast, super good GPU, strong battery, dual core GPS, one of the few devices with SAMOLED+, better than the nexus in nearly every way except screen res (and the GNex takes a performance hit because of that).

im getting bored of my gs2 also, im a flashing freak, and the deving is soo slow, we lost all devs actually.

Haha, yeah I've been waiting for this game to get ported for a while now. There's still a few more that I hope to see. I hate hearing the whole "play me at this game" ... searching... searching... Android doesn't have it. "Guess you should have got an iPhone" argument. Despite some of the crappy reviews I'm seeing, it's playing damn smooth for me. And you can't beat free with no ads (yet?)

That's about the only thing apple has over Android..the vast selection of quality games. We're starting to slowly get em but it's undeniable the games are lacking on. Android. I'd love to play gta 3 and ufc on my gs2's larger screen oppose to tiny iPod touch.

we do have GTA 3

I've been counting down the days for this to come out. I've been playing it lately on my old iPad, but the tilting it around just sucks (especially with that slippery aluminium backing!)
I teetered just shy of a million points on the iOS version, now I need to prove to my friend the tilting is what was holding me back.
I've since put my iPad away since I can rock it on my Android devices!

Drool....DROOOL!!!!!

But those were just 2 that came to mind...there so many games that I'd love to have on Android fromiPod touch. Hell if Android made decent mp3 player other than the non expandable Samsung one or freaking 5 in one I wouldn't even got iPod touch.

This game is as awesome as it looks, looks even better on my GS2 , quick question though, for some reason when I'm on games if I don't touch the screen it auto locks as if the app isn't running, some apps like benchmark apps it doesn't do this but games like temple run and nfs it does, any reason why and maybe a solution? Thanks.

Yeah, it doesn't keep the screen on. I guess that'd be another permission people would cry foul about.

There's no concrete release date yet but have you signed up to be notified first? I did. I honestly don't know what it's all about but my girlfriend is going crazy over it. Lol. I suspect it will be out within a week or two.

Any way of playing high end android games on E4GT?

Basically I want to know if there is a way I can play high end games like Dark Meadows on the E4GT. When I go into it in the play pen it says my device isnt compatible. Am I SOL or is there anything I can do to get it on are device?

Not sure why its not allowing you to download... I just downloaded without any problems. Are you running a stock ROM or something?

Downloaded just fine on mine... The E4GT is about as High End as you're going to find at the moment.

I know thats what I thought too...it doesnt even show up in the app store when I search for it...someone told me to use chainfire so im going to try that.

Most likely device identifier is not right meaning play store thinks your phone is a different phone...change roms or edit the build.prop yourself if your comfortable enough.

Weird, definitely should be compatible, in this case it's the devs fault for not listing as compatible with our device. Of course If your desperate to play it change your device id to nexus or something.

By reading about it .....its meant for a tegra and u will probably have to side load it and use chain fire to spoof tegra ....hey its like that sometimes there are some games only for tegra

Yup. Tegra 3 only is seems as well. My tegra 2 devices can't download it from the store either.

It says it's Optimized for Tegra2 and Tegra3 devices so maybe its tegra only for now. All I see are tegra owner reviews.
Buy chianfire if you really want it but also remember zynga made it

been trying all day i downloaded all the 10 parts 1.8 gigs idk i give up. It won't let me buy game i had a market/playstore apk that let me download any games even if it's not compatible
but i must of deleted it by accident.

I have never been able to get this game to work!
downloaded it some time last year knowing id have a more advance device to play it on.
I've never got it to work on my S3 with AOSP. sadness.

Just thought I'd let everyone know this game plays fine on touchwiz based roms. Been paying it on dandroid.
