LED indicator, and Bluetooth question - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Hello,
Just switched over from an EVO 4G to E4GT. Rooted and installed UnNamed ROM yesterday, still tweaking things a bit today.
Questions:
Is there an LED app out there that allows you to speed up blinking? Its annoying that it blinks so damn slow.
For Bluetooth, I am not getting an option for "File Transfer" after pairing with my laptop (Win XP). My EVO used to have that option automatically but it doesnt seem to be the same on the E4GT. It only pairs the Headset. How do I get the File Transfer pairing working?

[Q] Synergy RLS1 Bluetooth issue

Well, after finally being able to root my GB EVO on Sunday after Revolutionary.io updated their supported devices (BIG thanks to those devs by the way), my rom of choice was Synergy, because I liked what it offered as well as I wanted Sense (Rosie) 3.0. I installed RLS1 (not Godmode) and everything set up fine.
The issue happened when I tried to pair my phone with my car (worked flawlessly on stock), and it pairs (headset sharing phone and media), but when it goes to sync the contacts, the evo drops down to simply (shares media) and ultimately disconnects (headphone disconnects).
I spent about an hour trying to get it to work, pairing, unpairing, deleting the phone from the car, trying it while the car is on aux power and with the engine on, everything. So, is there an issue with Synergy and bluetooth? If there is, is there a fix for it, or should I just either wait for Syngery to come out with a new release or try a different rom?
I have the same issue almost. I connected a bluetooth keyboard, pairs successfully but says "paired but not connected". I click on it to connect, but it does not do anything. I will try my headset later tonight.

[Q] Bluetooth Pairing Issue

Hello folks. I have recently traded a forum member for an Epic 4G Touch (just got it yesterday). I got rid of my iPhone 4S after a horribly failed 2 month experiment in which I left my EVO for the iPhone. Needless to say that didn't work out for me.
This is my issue. I had bought a Plantronics Voyager PRO HD, which is an awesome headset, and it worked with my iPhone. I tried pairing it to my Epic today, and the Epic will pair, but not connect to the device?! Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
In the spirit of full disclosure: the Epic is rooted, but still running the stock rom. Thanks in advance.
Rob
Could it be that the ROM you are on doesn't support BT? Otherwise i suggest trying different devices.
Actually, I thought of that too. I have an older BT headset (Motorolla) and it paired and connected just fine. The phone is pairing to my headset, it just wont connect. I am quite frustrated, cuz this headset is among the best I have ever tried.
I have figured this out after some doing. For those of you looking to pair this headset, this is what I did to make it work.
1- Start with the Plantronics Voyager Pro HD in the powered off mode.
2- press and hold the power button until the LED on the headset flashed RED/BLUE, indicating that it is prepared to pair with a device.
3- activate your bluetooth phone's "Search for Devices" function.
4- The phone will locate PLT_VoyagerPro and pair with the headset
5- **This is where I ran into problems, as I could not get the phone and headset to connect after pairing.** I would click on the PLT_VoyagerPro icon on my phone to connect, and it would fail.
At this point, you want to press and hold the headset power button to take the phone out of "pairing mode" and power down the headset. For some reason after pairing, the lights stopped flashing RED/BLUE, but it did not leave the pairing mode.
After you see the RED LED remain steady, the headset will power off. Press the power button again, to power on the device, and you should now be able to PAIR and Connect to the phone. This is what worked for me.

Getting Bluetooth Audio to autoconnect.

I have used my SGS3 for a while now with the built-in bluetooth phone connection in my car. The first time I used it I had to go through the pairing process, ever since then it automatically connects as soon as I turn on the car. I don't have to touch anything, as long as I have bluetooth turned on it connects.
So, I added a Logitech bluetooth audio receiver to the car http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wireless-Speaker-Bluetooth-980-000540/dp/B004VM1T5S
This unit paired with the phone fine, and remembers the pairing. Only problem is every time I turn it on, I have to go to the bluetooth menu on the phone and tap the entry for the logitech adapter to get it to connect. It's a few more steps that I'd like to make this work.
Can anyone suggest a way to my phone to auto connect this pairing?
I know it's uncool to bump your own post, but really........nobody?
Really unsure but try deleting the device from your phone reboot and pair again. All I can think of.

I have the same problem and I have not been able to solve the problem. I am using a Blackberry Bluetooth Stereo Gateway. It would auto connect just fin to my Evo 4G. It will not auto connect on the SIII. If I look at the Bluetooth settings I will see it briefly show Connecting before dropping off when I power up the gateway. It has been this way since I got the SIII. I have only tried the stock ROMs. I am thinking about trying an AOSP ROM to see if it makes a difference.

None here. I do get random drops in Pandora while driving.
this is getting really frustrating, especially when my old galaxy nexus would auto connect with no issues. I've cleared the cars phone book and the previously paired phones and i unpaired and paired the phone several times and still wouldn't auto connect after its initial pairing.

I have the exact same issue. I too am coming from a Galaxy Nexus which would auto connect to a GOgroove FlexSMART X2 Mini in my car. Unfortunately I am unable to get my Verizon LG G3 to auto-connect. I am able to manually toggle it to connect. What is weird is that it will auto connect to a Logitech Mini Boombox that is also paired to the phone.
well it seems to be working now. Took care of some errands this morning and so far its been auto syncing every time i get back in the car. I didn't do anything to the phone. The battery did die over night and i fully charged it this morning while it was off prior to me leaving.
spoke to soon! after a while the phone stopped auto syncing. Seems the fix is the restart the phone and then all is well, i cycle the car off and on several times after restarting the phone and it would auto sync with no problems. I hope they fix this issue with the next software upgrade
Did some more troubleshooting and discovered something interesting. On certain paired bluetooth devices (e.g. Logitech Mini Boombox) it doesn't matter if the device is powered on before the phone's bluetooth is turned on, the device will auto-connect to the phone. On the other hand, other paired bluetooth devices (e.g. GOgroove FlexSMART X2 Mini), if the device is on before the phone's bluetooth is on it will not auto-connect but if the phone's bluetooth is on before the device is powered on they will auto-connect.
Mine is auto syncing with my Merc (Comand Online) but the G3 keeps having a popup message saying "headset disconnected" every 5 seconds...
But I can make extensive calls and everything is synced (call history, sms, contacts).
Any idea how to get rid of the annoying popup ?
Ok, found out by myself
Apparently the G3 tried to connect to bluetooth audio streaming mode... It's off by default on my car kit. I disabled the latter in the G3 bluetooth parameters for my car kit and now I don't have this annoying popup anymore !

Question Bluetooth issue

Hello since I made the last update I have noticed that there are problems with the Bluetooth. I always keep it active to keep it connected to the smartwatch. I have found that often the phone no longer recognizes it and there is no way until I restart the phone. The problems are accentuated when using the wifi hotspot.
Yep the whole coms system on the 6 is poor. I have disconnection issues with headphones and wahoo cycling computer. Just no fix despite resets .

Yep, my 6 Pro Bluetooth connection to my car has gone backwards in quality in the latest 12.1 stable build
Mine will be fine for an hour and then suddenly disconnects all devices. Then it reconnects on its own. It's not fun when you are on a call or virtual meeting.
Mine is staying connected to my watch without any issues, and when connected to either my car or earbuds I don't get any drop outs at all.
This is on the March update, but I don't use it with a hotspot on the phone though.
I am hearing impaired and have my 6 Pro paired with hearing aids, my car, and my smartwatch. When the phone rings, it is anybody's guess where the phone's sound is going to go. It is so frustrating. In my OnePlus 7 pressing the volume up or down would let you pick where to direct the audio but the pixel doesn't see that as necessary. Boy is it ever!
No issues with the connection to either car, but here's an odd one.
I have a connection to my Samsung Galaxy Watch4 & my Plantronics 5200 headset.
From time to time, if my phone rings, I put on the headset & turn it on, it will connect,'
answer the call, then anywhere from 20-45 seconds later, disconnect the headset and
put the connection back on the phone. Doesn't do it all the time.
Everything is up to date, stock, not rooted.
