Well, after finally being able to root my GB EVO on Sunday after Revolutionary.io updated their supported devices (BIG thanks to those devs by the way), my rom of choice was Synergy, because I liked what it offered as well as I wanted Sense (Rosie) 3.0. I installed RLS1 (not Godmode) and everything set up fine.
The issue happened when I tried to pair my phone with my car (worked flawlessly on stock), and it pairs (headset sharing phone and media), but when it goes to sync the contacts, the evo drops down to simply (shares media) and ultimately disconnects (headphone disconnects).
I spent about an hour trying to get it to work, pairing, unpairing, deleting the phone from the car, trying it while the car is on aux power and with the engine on, everything. So, is there an issue with Synergy and bluetooth? If there is, is there a fix for it, or should I just either wait for Syngery to come out with a new release or try a different rom?
I have the same issue almost. I connected a bluetooth keyboard, pairs successfully but says "paired but not connected". I click on it to connect, but it does not do anything. I will try my headset later tonight.

Trying to find some feedback from anyone using the BlueAnt V1 bluetooth headset with the EVO.
I'm having problems with the headset not answering calls maybe 85-90% of the time. It announces there is a call, but will not answer via voice command or hitting the button. I can answer via the phone but when I do it doesn't transfer voice to the headset. The headset thinks it is connected because when the call is ended it tells me.
Have done two factory resets on the phone and resets on the headset with no change. Also spoken to Blueant tech support and they weren't much help. All they said is they haven't heard of it having problems with the EVO and should be compatible with all Android devices. Their suggestion was to try it with another EVO and see if the problem still exists. Well, I don't have another to test it on so that does me no good. This headset worked great on both my Blackberry phones before I got the EVO and has the latest updates installed.
BTW...I'm running Myn's RLS4 w/ #17.
Thanks.
Well I don't think it is the Bluetooth , it is the Rom. I have problems with myns #4 with the sync in my email. I have a blue ant also and it does the same thing . I have tried other roms including virus and it works on them , try that .
sent from the phone that is EVO
Pretty sure I tried this headset when the phone was stock and with some other Sense and non-Sense roms. It has never worked properly.
Not sure if it has something to do with the lockscreen or not. The first time it is connected to the phone it works fine. But every time after that, it doesn't connect the call.
I haven't had any problems running anything on Myn's. But just to make sure, when I switch a rom again I will reset and try the headset.
yeah mine does the same thing, it works if i answer w/ voice command but if i press answer button most of the time the audio is route to phone speaker......Lame!
has anybody with a blueant tried it with cyanogenmod? i wonder if the different bluetooth stack yields different results. I'd like to see an app update for the blueant software too (had a cheaper headset that stayed connected way better)
When I pair the headset, it connects and works great the first call I get whether using voice command or button to answer. Then every time after that, it won't connect the call.
Maybe it has something to do with the lockscreen or the phone going to sleep. I will have to do some trial and error.
Currently I am trying out the headset with MikFroyo 4.2 (Sense rom) to see if it makes any difference. This rom is really close to stock so maybe it will work?
I will post back with my conclusion.
My headset works fine now. I have found there is a coding issue that exists in certain roms such as Myn's and CM that prevent proper operation. CM seems to have put together a fix for it. Myn's still does not work at this time. It has been requested as a fix for RLS5 final.
Running eVoKINGS Black Titanium with Mik's 4.2 base and my headset works good.
hey where is the fix for CM or is it just in some of the versions? cause i just flashed CM7 and some of the features i loved about the Blue Ant before are not working like it will not play my audio like it did before i use to be able to listen to my music and what not through the blue tooth. if there is a fix for it i would love to get that working again.

Sorry...it's been a while and can't remember where I read about the fix. If I run across again will let you know. Might try downloading "BT mono" from the Market to see if that helps. Not sure if it is effective on AOSP or not but worth a look.
So a friend of mine bought me a TuneLink (for Android) for my birthday. I've been running CM7 Nightlies for quite a long time, and I'm currently using N93. The tunelink is great for the car, if it worked.
I've worked back and forth with support from NewPotato, the makers of the tunelink, and they are stumped. They have sent me multiple devices, thinking it was maybe a hardware issue, but nothing seems to work. At first, the device will pair and connect, and music will start playing, but after about 10 minutes, my phone becomes very slow and will eventually reboot itself. After this, the phone will connect but not pair to the tunelink. No matter what I do after the reboot, the phone refuses its connection.
I also have a Jabra Clipper that works perfectly all the time, without problems, and I haven't seen anyone else complain about the CM7 Bluetooth stack.
Anyone else witnessing any problems with any bluetooth device while running CM7?
bump bump bump
Using 7.1-RC1 on an Incredible:
Also having issues with the TuneLink. Worked perfectly on stock ROM, when I switched to CM7 the device will work for about 5 minutes before the BT signal fades out and then I pick up nothing but interference when I play audio. Eventually the device just disconnects from the phone. Then the Bluetooth radio will not reconnect unless I pull the device and then let it sit for awhile.
This is a deal-breaking issue for me now that my iPod Touch is broken. I have to be able to listen to my podcasts in the car. I really don't want to go back to stock.
I should also add that my Bluetooth headphones work just fine with CM7.
I just bought a bluetooth headset (plantronics M50, bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP), the phone call is OK, but when I play video, music, the speaker of phone is on, the headset not work, need additional setup? need addtional apps? how?
You shouldn't need any additional apps. When your phone connects it should connect with two "profiles", one for the phone and one for the audio (A2DP).
In the manual for your headset, does it tell you that you need to switch to a certain mode to hear a2dp audio?
solved, just reboot the phone, and you can chose phone audio or media audio in bluetooth setting interface.
I need bluetooth help please

(NOTE - I WOULD START A NEW TOPIC, BUT CANNOT AS I DONT HAVE ENOUGH COMMENTS TO DO SO).......
Just got a new car (Mercedes Benz GL450), and trying to pair my GN to the bluetooth functionality of the car. First off - the car doesnt even support Bluetooth audio, which was a major disappointment, but it has an ipod dock (yes, it is a 2012 $80,000 truck that doesnt have a usb, or basic features that a freeking $15,000 hyundai). Either way, I can connect my GN to the bluetooth phone feature no problem, it pairs, and automatically connects with no issues. I bought a coolstream A2DP bluetooth receiver (http://www.amazon.com/CoolStream-Bluetooth-Receiver-Speakers-docking/dp/B008EL58YA) to plug into the ipod dock. The GN sees it, i try to pair, enter the password, and it wont connect to it. I have read forums all over the internet about how the GN Bluetooth has many issues - does anyone have a solution??
I read here (http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=24012) that i should toggle airplane mode, switch bluetooth on/off, reboot phone, and bluetooth receiver, etc.... it all doesnt work. Tried A2DP Volume - not the issue, it just wont pair after i enter the password.
I am currently rooted on 4.1.1 XenonHD ROM with Franco Kernal, have tried it with 4.1.1 Vicious Jellybean/Faux Kernal as well - no luck.
Going to try it with 4.1.1 AXI0M ROM, and see what happens..................
Has anyone else run into this issue on any other ROM, that can suggest a fix - note - I am good with flashing roms, kernals, mods, etc....but if you ask me to code, i am clueless.
Thanks to anyone that can help
2008 GL450, only old **s 30 pin Sh*t
Tried many sorts to work with steaming...no go so far.
Pre-historic technology was specially installed on GL's....so to leech out more from customers..MB sucks.
Please let me know if you figured something out mean while.

Loving this ROM, but the only thing preventing my phone from reaching the Platonic Ideal of a smartphone for me is the fact that Bluetooth will not work properly with my 2010 Prius. I drive a very long way to work, and rely on streaming radio.
When I pair the phone with my radio as usual, it shows that the phone audio is connected, but the media side won't connect (both would always connect prior to this latest release). The phone and car are lying to me, though, because neither phone nor media audio actually will play through the car. The car doesn't even know when I'm on a phone call.
I've followed the NuSense SIX thread from the beginning, and right now I don't know what the state of Bluetooth is:
-I understand tha BT is a fickle thing, and works with some devices but not others... but NuSense (and Viper) have always played nice with my car's BT until now
-There was a BT patch in 4.0 that I applied, and that worked. Should I apply that again for the new version of the rom? Has that patch been rolled into this release?
-Some have said that switching kernels helps. Should I do that?
Yes, I did a full wipe (everything except internal storage) through TWRP 2.7.0.1
Please help!
I know with certain devices this happens to me also.
Tap on the settings button next to the device in the Bluetooth menu. When you are in your car, unchecked the box "use for media audio", wait a sec, and recheck it. It should reconnect.
Has anyone encountered issues with connecting with a car bluetooth? My wife phone conntects with no issues.. She can use the cars remotes to make and receive calls.. Mine I have to pick a contact from the phone for it to work, it will not work with the car or my work truck controls.. It seems everytime it ask if my car or truck can access my contacts, I always choose allow, but nothing happens, but it works with the wifes.. This is with the Lollipop update, that we both have...
happened to me I just rebooted my phone and it connected, also check settings for that paired device

Got one to work, in my truck.. The car it worked for a while, then quit.. I will try it agian to see if it will stcik... Most likely caused by the 5.0 update..
I've noticed a Bluetooth problem that suddenly started in the last week or so. I upgraded to Lollipop when it first hit, and didn't have any problems.
Now, however, after Bluetooth works fine for awhile (I can connect to a Pebble watch, Bluetooth speaker, car Bluetooth, etc) all day long - then all of a sudden it can't connect to ANYTHING. Toggling Bluetooth off\on doesn't fix it.
Restart the phone, then everything works just fine for awhile. Until it doesn't, and I have to restart again.
Anyone else experiencing this pattern?
I've actually had the opposite happen. I have a iSimple bluetooth box in my car. I've never been able to auto connect with either VZW Note2 or 4. The CS rep told me it had to do only with VZW phones and he couldn't help me out. On another forum, another member mentioned he didn't have any issues with his older phone, so I dug out my old HTC Incredible. Sure enough, it would auto connect. Something changed with Lollipop, and now my Note4 will finally auto connect to the iSimple box. I tried using a third party Bluetooth app prior, but it didn't fix the problem.
Finally got the one in the car working as well... Because the wife and I have the same phone, I just simply changed the name of my phone and it works fine..
If your talking about the developer edition one rom update.. YES.. What fixed mine was wiping everything and redoing the one rom lollipop, then twrp, then installing Ricks Rom Lollipop, things have been perfect. I even addressed it in the ricks rom thread the week.
I haven't had any issues connecting devices but since Lollipop, when I am connected to a bluetooth speaker (car, bose, other bluetooth speakers) the audio gets choppy randomly.
I have done some searching and found others (LG g3) who had the exact same issue after updating to Lollipop.
I have tried rebooting, using different music apps, unpairing/pairing, forgetting the device ect and nothing seems to work. Anyone else having this problem after updating to lollipop? Anyone know how to fix it?
