WiFi calling works great, IMS connects faster and changing to Cellular Preferred from WiFi preferred actually makes the phone drop WiFi calling and pick up the cell network. It doesnt do that with Kinetco WiFi calling. It stays on WiF until you disable.
The radio is muchhhh better about switching between EDGE and 4G. I used to get no service sometimes when it would go from 4G to EDGE. I will see how it goes but ive already seen an improvement.

Sooooo... do I flash back to stock from Juggernaut to get it or wait for the dev to incorporate?
Not that I plan on going back to stock for any reason, but should I flash back to have it in my stock backup?

No need to go back to stock, just wait for devs to incorporate into Roms. Soon someone will release a new rooted deodexed stock to flash with cwm.

The new sprint update has made my 3G a little faster ! I was getting like 0.23mbps down and 0.10 mbps up. I ran a speed test after I updated and check it out ! Almost 2mbps down woo! lol I'm used to AT&T speeds but I switched to sprint because my job gets a 23% discount for us .

If you are rooted flash a custom rom that has it built in already such as Clarks Sonic Rom. I think Freeza also has instruction on how to upgrade if you are stock.

tmobile offical update for jellybean wont be until the end of 2012, so cant we just port the official jelly bean update from sprint? cause basically the sprint gs3 and all other carriers are the same internally except for the radio. so as long as we just flash the rom without the radio, we should be good ? i have no idea. idk. just a thought

I've read only att roms are safe to flash for t mobile s3
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
I believe all the carriers have pretty much identical hw except the radios. They most likely have the same partition mapping and so its probably ok to flash anothers roms.
That said, I would NOT do this without solid confirmation. Its basically an educated guess on my part. (A day or two ago someone said they flashed a Verizon rom and it worked, but again, I wouldn't take my or their word for it alone)

Someone in general clashed Sprint and Verizon ROMs just fine. The only issue was getting radios to communicate with the software. I believe they got everything working on the Sprint ROM but Verizon had extra authentication methods.

The OP could be telling the truth, but till a credible member verify this, I'll question the validity of his/her post. Still, even if it turns out to be true, It remains to be a question whether a sprint rom is flashable on ours or not.

You can flash a sprint rom just fine. will stuff not work without modification? yes, but you will not brick it.
Now, if you flash an international rom to a US variant you will brick because the partitions are different. But everything is the same on the US variants. You do have to change things in the build.prop and make other mods to make it work on GSM. The only thing bad would be if the sprint rom flashes a modem but that wouldn't even brick because you could just flash the correct modem
I also want to mention I released a straight stock port on the ATT forums. This release will work for tmo as well. You just have to change the build prob stuff to show it as a t999 instead of a i747
All the S3 from US carrier have the same hardware. It could be ported just that the radios will have to be changed. I wont doubt it if they do it :good:
OK guys no more talking, that's the official JB for the sprint version, ported for the T-Mobile
Check out. Working great on my phone.

Does this mean we are actually getting that update and did anyone successfully download it ota by checking for one?
Is so what is different? Someone mentioned it has a radio update? Will it make the 4g speeds faster?

Apps 2 SD should have been there in the beginning. I think 2 months is patient enough.
Personally I've given up on waiting for Tmobile to release updates. My wife's gs3 got her update for multi window 1 day before she got her gs4, which has multi window included. The only way I wait for official updates is on nexus devices. Right now I'm using foxhound ROM which has apps to SD, but it is a trade off because it doesn't include WiFi calling.

Keep in mind besides losing WiFi calling all non stock international roms are having force close issues with NFC payment and most of them have gone as far as disabling NFC payment. I like the international roms but couldn't deal with a random NFC payment force close pop up happening periodically.
