I have a small crack in my screen that makes my menu button go crazy every so often. I have the protection plan so it is covered, but should I flash back to stock before I go in?

I have a custom ROM on my Tilt 2. Is there any way to restore it back to factory? I think I'm gonna return it as it's slow and cumbersome (still faster than stock though).
Hard reset?
Turn it off, hold two call buttons and hold the power button until it tells you something then hit the volume up on the rocker.

Ummmm, that's not going to work to reset to factory with a custom ROM. You'll have to find the stock ROM for your carrier and re-flash, I think.
you a need a stock rom to go back to factory. i know they have one for tmobile. not sure about the tilt 2.

I recently ROMmed Mighty Mikes latest update onto my phone. Well since then my upper power button that usually just turns the screen off and puts it on stand by has started turning the screen off for real. When I press the button my screen goes off and will not come back on even though the other butons light up and come back on.
Also if I needed to get my phone back to its out of the box state what do I need to do.
try to ask on your Chef thread.
To go back you need to have your stock ROM and procedure I believe is the same
So a couple buttons on the QWERTY keyboard fell off, the E and the R.
You heard me - they fell off. Like... the silicone contacts and stuff underneath are fine, but the black buttons that has the key letters and stuff fell off.
I want to get it back on but I'm not sure how to make the buttons stick again. Is it a simple adhesive or do I need to insert them back in some way? No matter how much pressure I try to put on the buttons they simply fall out again.
Hello
I was on vacation and had v500 (installed with Slebits Validus LP ROM) with me.
Something went wrong and I could not unlock screen or wake the G pad with power button, just didn't happened. The home screen showed for a second, than it went black and couldn't wake it up with power button or double tap the screen, nothing. But I could enter TWRP with button combination (so power button works). I flashed different kernel, but nothing changed.
So when I came back home I flashed another CM12 ROM, but the same thing.
When ROM boots, home screen shows for the second, then goes black and cant be unlocked no mater what.
Is this some kind black screen bug? Wrong bootloader?
Need help, please... thx for reading
Are you using a tablet protector with a magnet lock in the cover? Try taking it off to see if the cover is causing interference.

Thx for answer, but no, I have no cover.
Couldn't find anything similar on internet, so I reverted gpad back to stock.
Surprise, there I also cant unlock the screen. But when I did button combination to initiate factory reset, on/off button works every time.
Ill sent it on service, its still under warranty. We will see...
I've recently got out my note 2 & wiped it to give to my son to use for playing games on & so forth. But during setting it up, I've noticed a really annoying problem I can figure out. Randomly the phone goes unresponsive. Nothing I tap on the screen reacts, the back & menu buttons don't respond. The only thing that does respond is the home button & the volume +/-. The only way I can regain control of the phone again is if I quickly press the power button to turn the screen of & then back on again.
This seem's to happen more when I get pop up's prompting input like passwords & so forth. Does anyone know how to fix this or what might be causing it? I've factory reset & it uses stock rom. This was happening before I rooted & also since rooting & having removed usual bloatware from the phone.
Thanks in advance!
I would like to add that the glass cover was recently replaced. Would this cause the problem? The only adhesive was around the edges. None of that silicon UV glue you put over the screen & cure uder a UV light. Would this be why or just a poor quality glass screen cover? Some input from someone would be nice!
it doesn't seem to be hardware related issue, i suggest you download the latest stock ROM for your phone and flash it via Odin, no need to wipe, and if that doesn't fix it, then it must be an app installed on the phone.
try flashing the ROM first.
