[ACS][Mod][EL29][Deodex][Odex]AIO Mod Updated 7 Jan 12 - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

This is an all in one mod. It combines the features of wifi tether, crt on/off, 1% battery, reboot, recovery, download, rotation lag fix, screen rotation, no battery full notification (blue led still shows), 14 statusbar toggles mod, 1x mods in both ciq and nociq versions. I will be updating as new features come along. Added new feature to shutdown without the confirmation prompt. Added a fix to the wallpaper not scrolling EL26 and EL29 only for now.
Thanks to Chris41G for the rotation lag fix Mod. Thanks to Necrosan for the wifi tether Mod. Thanks to lidroid/Barbarnacles10 for the 14 toggles Mod. Thanks to K0nane/gtg465x for NoCIQ Mod. Thanks to imparator/femi4ever for rotation Mod. Thanks to blownco for the battery icons. Thanks to strongsteve for helping me get this odexed. Thanks to Maddoggin for getting 4G to work on the Hotspot Mod. Thanks to Calkulin for the wallpaper scrolling fix.
I nor any other member of ACS/XDA are responsible for whatever happens to your phone.
Devs and Themers feel free to use this. Just remember where it came from.

Damn that was fast!!!! As always, you are much appreciated my friend, thanks for putting this together for us, it'll make it a bit more interesting when testing out stock EL13 ROMs now, at least for me it will lol

Funny, I JUST tested the EK02 AIO just to make sure...thank you for making this work.

You guys aint playing around in here anymore I see... Starting to remind me of the old days down the block in the Evo forum... Keep up the good work

Will this work with the fancy rotation mod?

This includes the rotation mod. So flash this and you are good. No need to flash the fancy rotation mod itself.

Yeah normally I would skip the leak but since this has CIQ removed natively I couldn't resist.

While on Calkulin's (the only deodexed that I know of) EL13, EL13 modem and Rogue EL 13 kernel I get a FC of Settings precisely after boot. I did all the reflash, wipe and wipe and wipe, reflash, wipe, reflash, wipe killer super secret hidden leaf village death combo and it stopped; until I try and long press the wifi toggle, then it FC's settings again. Imma try again and get me some logcat for further details, but not tonight. Thanks again to the ACS team for some yummy yummy dimsum!

This fixed the white crt off animation :O... except during the animation it shows my screen upside down... :O
Keep up the good work

Awesome
Thanks a bunch, I love the new screen rotation. By the way this is the first attempt at flashing something without qbking77's video guidance. Worked perfectly.

That is my bad. I checked it after your post and it looks like the settings.apk was messed up. New version is posted. Check the md5 if you are confused on which one is the right one.

DO i have to wipe before flashing?

I flashed the updated mod... now im getting boot loops

Is ACS down? I can't get the site to load to download this.

Do you have the updated one with the fixed settings? If so can you mirror it and pm me a link. I don't want to have an alternative link in the thread with out getting permission from the op. Thanks.

I too would like a mirror since ACS seems to be down .
Edit: anybody with a mirror please PM me, I would love to try this rom.

ACS Site Is Up
ACS site is up and the DL links works. I got the new, improved, revised, polished and repaired version and flashed it. Same as before: EL13x3, Rogue kernel/Recovery, and the AIO in question, ALL AT ONCE. Boot loop. But, prior to that I flashed this AFTER I had the rom/kernel in place and it all went fine AND dandy. Now, that is Calk's EL13 deodex'd, Rogue Recovery/kernel...run it a bit and do some stuff with it other than adb and chown'ing. Then flash the AIO. Now it seems you don't have to verify power off when using the power button menu...if only my wifi would connect I'd be golden.

forums are down again. anyone got links?
update: got the link from interloper. thanks buddy

There is a link to Koush's Rom...so far everything seems good. Nav has not been tested yet. Camcorder records, but feel free to test it out and leave some feedback.
playing with it now, its pretty smooth. thanks!
Market isnt working for me. Errors
What errors are you getting?
same here with the market, gettin a server error
Personally,
i think kiwiboo v2 with the eri roaming fix and the latest franco ics kernel is faster.
it also includes all the apps, koush rom did not have maps or other google apps included, i was unable to download them either, kept getting some unknown error on installing..
appreciate the effort here, i dont see the advantages over what i mentioned above along with the 11/23 franco kernel with nstools.
I wiped phone
Installed Full-crespo-ota-eng.koush.zip
then installed
Gapps
turned the phone off and then turned it on again
Everything seems to work
Market Works perfect
Camcorder works
only issue i am having is my Facebook contacts will not sync.
reboot fixed the server errors for me, markets working
Any need to flash the wifi fix or the Roaming indicator? during the flashing?
Where is this kwiboo from i haven't seen it here on the forums yet?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA App
So how do you use live wallpapers?
No GPS here. Keyboard from stock is a little wacky but I was able to install SwiftKey and shut off spelling correct and I am good to go. Seems quicker than the other ICS roms so far. Also initially data was super slow and some things were not connecting but after a quick reboot everything was fine.

Call Sound doesnt work when GPS is turned off - Temp fix leave GPS on
Thank you Sammydr10, for your work finding the GPS fix for audio.
USB connection of SDcard needs to be fixed - Temp fix is use mount sdcard in recovery/use Auto Mount SD app or do not switch to internal memory in CM settings, use the sdcard (which is done by default).
Mounting of emmc - Temp fix use Root Explorer
Netflix freezes - Nothing yet
Any other launcher is having FC problems
Gallery is a bit laggy at first, and may not rotate- toggle orientation/use quickpic for gallery.
When listening to music and receiving a notification, volume does not return to previous levels- Cyanogenmod settings/Sound/Uncheck Notification Focus (mstrk242 helped with this one THANKS)
When using a lockscreen gesture to open directly to camera, the viewfinder looks all wonky and green. Enter gallery and exit and camera will look normal again.
Google music will not stream on 4g it does stream over wifi- Not sure yet.
In quickpic when when attempting to rotate an image to edit it causes force close. - Looking into it.
When using a custom app on the three ring lockscreen, selecting unlock from the middle ring causes reboot: Call your phone unlock to answer then get into settings and change lockscreen preference. Three ring lockscreen does work if you leave the custom app in the middle.

[UPDATE][ROM] tFC15_v0.1.1 Rooted. Deodexed. Themed. 03/18/12

Here we go again.
New leak, new update, new rom.
Same as previous leaks.
Thanks to sextape for initial tar release
Thanks to Calkulin for Stock rooted deodexed rom
Thanks to Tiffany84 for initial themeing of FC05/FC07
Thanks to Team Rogue for FC07 repacked kernel.
Rom is pretty much stock with light ICS touch. No build.prop tweaks yet.
Let us see how it works. So far it looks like some our dreams and wishes were addressed by Sammy and Sprint.
Vibration works with notifications and calls (finally).
GPS is much better than in FC14. Got lock inside the house within 15 sec after initial boot.
I didn't try to flash this rom over any of GB builds but it worked without full wipe over FB21, FC07 and FC14
Here are some screen shots.

Installation instructions:
1. Download rom zip file.
2. Download modem zip file (optional)
3. Copy files to root of your sd card
4. Boot into recovery.
5. Do a NAND back up (optional but strongly recomended).
6. If you still running any GB build flash/apply Calkulin's format all zip. This step can be skipped if you running ICS builds. I have tried flashing this rom over 4 different ICS roms and never had any problems.
7. Apply rom zip in recovery.
8. Apply modem zip in recovery.
9. Boot to system.
I'm uploading 2 versions of this rom:
1. With Rogue repacked FC07 kernel for those of you who want to keep CWM
2. With stock kernel (no CWM recovery).
You can download tFC15_v0.1.0 here:
1. http://dev-host.org/ePR with FC07 repacked kernel with CWM recovery.
2. http://dev-host.org/FB1 with stock kernel. No CWM recovery.
Update tFC15_v0.1.1:
1. build.prop tweaks for better battery live and speed (hopefully)
2. 1% battery icons
3. Battery shows charge when connected to outlet or PC
4. Bloatware removed.
5. Shaved about 25MB from rom.
6. Galaxy S II boot animation added.
1.1 can be applied over 1.0 or other ICS build. No wipe needed.
If you coming from GB you should apply Calkulin's format all zip first and flash 1.0 before flashing 1.1.
Version 1.1 doesn't take data wipe too well and you will endup with message "TW Launcher has expired".
I'll try to fix it and will upload update soon.
Download link:
http://jumbofiles.com/rptyo5lnjj6q with FC07 repacked kernel with CWM recovery.

WiFi tether for root users works fine just have to set the device as Samsung Galaxy Nexus CDMA/LTE as with all ICS builds.
I tried to incorporate the app into rom but it wouldn't work after flash. So if you don't have it you can download it from here:
http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/downloads/detail?name=wifi_tether_v3_1-beta11.apk&can=2&q=
You would need to flash modem separately.

Yeah well -- limited window to dink with my ph today so I was sitting on the forum watching for this thread I've been hoping for 2 things since I saw the leak: tFC15, and a rogue repack of the FC15 kernel (which I'm perfectly happy to let SH take his time on).
Anyway DL completed, MD5 checked, new nandroid made, tFC15 flashed and booted up... updating PRL and profile. For some reason the "privacy" item in my settings list looks un-themed, but other than that looking great so far.
Quick question: would it be possible to make a flashable zip of the boot anim Calk is using in his E4GT2 1.1 ROM? (I know, I know, I could lift it out and push it myself, but I _am_ just that lazy.) I think it just looks way better than the stock sprint 4g boot anim...

Yesterday I was trying to incorporate it in first release but when I start bootlooping I went with minimal changes to localize problem.
I don't now what and how I did but FC07 worked.
Now more tweaks and themeing needs to be done.
Update will come with that animation, 1% battery icons, build.prop tweaks and bloatware removed.
And about that privacy icon. That option is new. It wasn't there in previous builds so it wasn't themed. I'm terrible when it comes to drawing and I can't make icons myself. As soon as Tiffany makes an icon to match other icons in settings I'll add it to rom as well.

That was the first thing I changed on the stock tar. I am going to have to download this later this evening. I just can't look at that Touchwiz green and orange anymore. Edit..you can just extract the ICS for ICS theme and push the boot and shutdown animations. It takes 2 minutes if you have the theme

Flashed over Agat's FC14 by just wiping cache and dalvik with no issues. Since this could be our final leak, I suspect Steady skipped over FC14 because he knew this was coming. I think we'll see an FC15 repacked kernel soon.
Hey just curious but what is the benefits of FC15 over FC14,13,07, etc?
I mean my 3G seems a lil better with the new leaks but overall with each of them I don't notice huge change can anyone clarify this a little for me?
Oh and btw man I saw the new camera without shutter your the $#!+ hahah thanx man

Personally I prefer not to have the battery % on my icon and like the way I can turn it off if I want to. It's too small for my 55 year old eyeballs to see anyway. I use Battery Status Bar from the market. It simply puts a clean looking icon on the left side of the status bar. It isn't a bloated battery saver app like some of the others. Looks like this
Thanks for this! Working great so far and big improvement in speed/lag already.
Is it normal for me to have gaps in my network signal on here? I have been at the same spot all day so it shouldn't change much but I am concerned about the black gaps.

Almost Naked ROM IS POSTED BELOW. It has the stuff removed from ButtNaked.
Like Books, Flipboard, Magazines, SVoice, etc. All ATT crap will be stripped out.
I'm still learning what the changes were on NJ1. The camera feels like it takes pictures faster, a little quicker to respond for the next pic.

You need to have Samsung 4.3 Bootloader or newer.
Make sure you have the latest TWRP/CWM recovery installed.
Next, remember to backup your apps and your efs folder. That's something that you always should do before flashing anything.
Go to TWRP/CWM recovery via pressing home + power + volume up button at the same time.
Make a Nandroid backup of your working system, if you haven't done so.
Its best to do a clean install for any new Rom (clean installation recommended includes internal storage)
In TWRP Recovery hit wipe, and slide to factory data reset system. (Internal won't be touched fyi)
In PHILZ Recovery Format Internal SDCard (in mounts and storage) and do Factory reset (I will install a new ROM option in PhilZ)
(Reminder) Remember that everything you flash you do it at your own risk so do your research before flashing anything!!
Now find the location of the Rom on your external and install it.

Xposed Installer Credit : Author(s): rovo89, Tungstwenty
This is the installer for the Xposed framework, which is a requirement for all modules.
Xposed is a framework for modules that can change the behavior of the system and apps without touching any APKs. That's great because it means that modules can work for different versions and even ROMs without any changes (as long as the original code was not changed too much). It's also easy to undo. As all changes are done in the memory, you just need to deactivate the module and reboot to get your original system back. There are many other advantages, but here is just one more: Multiple modules can do changes to the same part of the system or app. With modified APKs, you to decide for one. No way to combine them, unless the author builds multiple APKs with different combinations.

So does this mean that you have to flash the ne1 ROM (buttnaked or full) before flashing this one? Also, how has agni kernel been behaving on 4.4 lately? I shied away from using it because of all the freezes and reboots awhile back. I'm using a 4.4 ROM whose kernel is stock based right now, but the network type within the APN keeps switching LTE off on me, and it's driving me nuts. I love it, but I also love your ROMS, I used your mk6 ROM for a very long time and always keep it in my back pocket. I might give this NJ1 build a shot, since it's an ATT base. Thanks in advance. ?

I used the NE5 as base and patched the NJ1 OTA. So you can just flash it all by itself. It does not have the kernel, but it does have the NJ1 modem.
DoctorQMM has been chatting with Bajanman and he suggested do not go over 4.2.8 kernel.Doc has been running it for a few days and it's doing fine on his phone. But you know, every phone acts different.
I've been running 4.2.5 since it came out. I just loaded 4.2.8 last night. It's running good. I may add it to an update, only thing I see right now is removing a couple of Knox files I missed.
I'm messing with the AOSP 5.0, should be done with the Almost Naked today or tomorrow. Thought I was done last night until I flashed it.
I lost track of my builds ober the last week and the build I'm messing with had the newer Play services and store.
It was a train wreck when I tried to get into Play sotre.. Updates worked fine and it's running now, but it's half assed if I release it like it is.
I dirty flashed this over the ne5 buttnaked v1 I had installed, and it works flawlessly. I had some crashes on the ne5, but none so far on this rom. Thanks Dev...because of you guys, I don't have a need update my Note 2. Much appreciated.

No worries. Glad it worked.
Just out of curiosity, I did a clean install of this rom, but got the black screen as well. I had to dirty flash over the n5 butnaked rom. Not sure why this is, but thought I should mention it as well.

Did you install anything between the flashes? The only difference really is the NJ1 Buttnaked does not have a kernel and the NE5 does.

Use my 3.8.1 kernel. Super solid and stweaks is packed. Just fixed a boot issue with TW as it's dual boot but I've been running it on my Saber rom and it's been flawless. No SOD or RR. Kernel has updated LTE modem firmware too. Gave me an extra bar at home where I consistently had been getting only one. Make sure to get build 3.8.1 from AFH and not 3.8 on xda. I haven't been able to upload to xda for 3 days

Awesome! I just got 3 S6's for myself and the fam. I'm gonna secretly root their phones and drop a custom ROM on it. This may be first on the list! Is there a way to get hotspot to work on this ROM?
First off... THANKS a bunch from all of us for our first ROM!!!
Second I just have 1 request and 2 questions..
Request is to include 3 Minit framework to be able to have crazyy customization!
2 questions are... what's the difference between this ROM and THIS one? And which FHA memory tweaks are implemented, and are they in the build.prop or kernel?
Thanks a lot @pwnyourace!!!!
EDIT: Also, ya'll guys getting an MD5 of: ca087eb0a5642b91d1440b3aa967dcbc

Awesome, thanks man! Also, just wondering which FHA tweaks are added into the build.prop? Bc I'm using these right now courtesy of @mikeyinid and they are working fantastic.
Code:
ro.config.fha_enable=true
ro.sys.fw.use_trim_settings=true
ro.sys.fw.empty_app_percent=50
ro.sys.fw.trim_empty_percent=100
ro.sys.fw.trim_cache_percent=100
ro.sys.fw.bservice_enable=true
ro.sys.fw.bservice_limit=5
ro.sys.fw.bservice_age=5000
ro.sys.fw.trim_enable_memory=128000000
I'm just using the FHA enable line along with removing dha. I'll give those values a try though and they might go in v2
I have a request.
I know lots of people enjoy the 3minit framework, but I absolutely hate it with a passion. It makes things super ugly and I could never figure out how to make things look like stock again.
My request is: if you do add the framework, can you please make it optional? I've already had to go back to stock ROMs twice now because the ROMs I wanted to use had this ugly framework stuff.
Thanks for considering.
Really dude...

I have but one hopefully simple request....
Can you please make a flashable modem/baseband?
The reason I ask this odd request is that in other model phones when flashing a different orgin roms example of i317 device with an i317m rom. Baseband would break but flashing the i317 radio fixed it and you could run the i317m rom perfectly.
I know cdma and gsm are different. But I also know 90% and have a very strong feeling that a,flashable modem/baseband of OF7/OFE will open access to cross platform roms like the note 2. potentially opening up experimentation of other roms from other carriers, including gsm carriers.
I've gotten roms from att, T-Mobile to boot up fine also got roms from g920i/f/v/vzw/etc to boot up(why the base and is needed) and all works fine except the baseband. On the,f model the baseband is only broken. Can you or someone very knowledgeable please make this theory a reality? pm me or something.
