I have tried 3 different roms on here trying to get the stock battery icon with no percentage, with no luck. Can anyone help? I love the Unamed and Blazer Rom but HATE the percentage battery icon. Any feedback would be appreciated!
Btw I have Rom Tool Pro and have tried that but no battery that has no percentage works with these roms, or does it?
I have a zip with it in my ek02 aio thread. Look for it in dev section.

Update it sent me to a boot loop... any ideas? should I flash calukins flash all zip, then then rom then the mod? I just went into recovery mode then simply flashed it and it went boot loop on me.. good thing I have a backup!
Well the only way to change the battery is to flash the framework and his framework is probably different than your roms.

1. What Rom are you running
2. What battery Icon do you want?

Why not do it yourself? Go to the kitchen: http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen/ and pick the battery (and other icons) you want, upload the files from whatever rom you're using, wait 5 minutes, and you're good to go.
I've haven't tried this yet with my epic touch but it worked fine for any number of gingerbread roms on my old evo.

That is no problem, just received my GN adn I will soon work on it. If ICS is not completely different, it`s fairly easy.
Sounds good. The only thing i'm missing (maybe also Extended Power Menu).
Don't understand why Google does not integrate Battery Percentage as standard.

I'm using Battery Monitor at the moment for the percentage on the left side of the notification bar.

Perka, thanks so much for doing this. It's really useful.
Could someone help me make sense of how to install this? If I'm running the stock ROM, I gather I need the files in "Stock_SystemUI_framework-res_GN_Deodex_ICS.ITL41F-CWM," but then what do I _do_ with the files here? (I see apks I could install, but then there are other files too...)
Also, Perka, you mention a link in your sig to a new version with larger icons, but I can't figure out what link in your signature it would be -- I'm guessing it should be at the "Perka´s File Stash" link, but there doesn't seem to be a link there. (And the other lines in your signature don't seem relevant.)
Thanks!

but u need to flash a deodexed rom first, this seems like a good option http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1372376
You cant flash my mod on stock odex rom, and the stock files you have on your sd card so u can flash back if something happens or u dont like the mod.
Hi guys, first time posting here been lurking for a few weeks gathering information and plucking up the courage to flash my shiny new S II with a custom rom etc.
I think im going to go for SlimICS but i have a question regarding battery indicators.
there is a battery indicator in the foxhound rom thread called Space 'Battery Universal' is there anyway to install this into SlimICS or is it only for foxhound? i googled and searched in this forum but couldnt find any information. are battery indicators universal or specific to certain roms?
also, as far as I can see there are no guides on how to install these roms. as i said i did a quick google and search but couldnt find anything, i didnt spend ALOT of time searching, so I apologise in advance if I missed something obvious.
cheers guys
you could do it as its only PNG images however SlimICS would need to have 1% increments... if it does then all you need to is replace the PNG images in SystemUI.apk (located in system/app)
I would actually recommend using my tool located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434061
Hope this helps..

is there a guide on how to install a custom rom anywhere? ive searched high and low but cant find one, they all assume you already know what youre doing.
HTC roms had really nice guides for total noobs and i was able to flash that with relative ease.

Ok found them.. gimme a sec
Flash this zip after you've installed SlimICS.
ahh thanks mate, so after installing slimICS i just install this battery indicator using your tool and it will work?
nice.
last question, would you recommend foxhound? reading the forums it seems like these two are the nicest along with cynogen. I cant seem to decide which though, reading about cynogen it seems like alot of things dont work? whereas foxhound and slimics people seem to be quite happy.

No probs.
Yeah just flash this after SlimICS. I made it using my tool to save you the trouble.
I would recommend CM9 but I'm biased =]
The only things that don't work are FM Radio and TV out.. which I don't use anyway.
Slim is ok and so is foxhound as far as I have been told... you have to decide, Samsung based ROM or AOSP.
ahh I just read about cm9, going to install that.
but im so confused, everything says different stuff. root dont root, firmware, kernal etc.
i want to use odin as it seems the easiest way. but these guides are making my mind implode. some stuff is so confusing :/
*edit*
got cm7 on it, upgrading to 9 now
If you're already rooted, you just need the flashable zip and maybe download the ICS bootloader (try flashing the ROM without the ICS first, if you don't need it, don't flash it)
just did everything, looks nice!!!
can i still flash that batt indicator onto cm9?

just out of interest, how do you make one for separate roms?
just so I can do it my self next time
with my tool...
It should work with both CM* and LP* based ROMs.
ummm, i flashed the zip you gave me for slim ics and now i have no status bar, and got some kind of system ui error on startup. ;(
I forgot to backup before i Installed it too, is there anyway to fix this or am I going to need to reinstall slim ics?
I finally figured out why bootanimations no longer work in FI03 (I didn't bother checking FH23, I'm sure it will work for that build too).
I did a diff of all the lib files (there were 33) and narrowed it down to libsurfaceflinger.so. The file is showing a different binary signature between FH13 and FI03 even though they are exactly the same size byte for byte. If you take the file from FH13, custom bootanimation now works. :victory:
Give it a try and let me know if it works for you.
That is the same file you replace to fix the flicker after crt off animation. Nice job, i wonder how it changed to stop boot animations.

Yes, FI25 is working for custom bootanimations again (as long as the kernel you are using has custom bootanimation support).

You need that to flash bootani's and don't be scared lol just don't be like most noobs! read before you do things or find someone you feel comfortable asking questions to and pm them till you get familiar with what things do.

Has anybody used the ROM Toolbox pro to download and change boot animations? I was wondering if it works okay or if there are issues with the note 2. If there aren't any issues then I may try some of the animations it has listed. There are some cool ones their server.

can't find it to remove!
I used ROM ToolBox Lite to install a bootanimation and I can't find it to remove it and it's the wrong size and not in the usual /system/media/ "bootanimation.zip".
Does anyone know where else they hide? I don't want to go through every folder one by one. Using Android 4.0.3.
...Scratch that.. Found it in /data/local/.
