HAHA,, yeah I now use PDAnet, but I still would like to find out why the native internet sharing client doesn't work.
This just happened about 24 hours ago to me. i noticed it says "unable to start wifi" also i think that affected my wireless tether.
My phone has the simple root done to it. I have Astro File Manager, ROM Manager, and like i said before i did the simple root with Unrevoked3. i am a mac user, i dont know if this second paragraph of information helps.
What should i do? should i just wait for the update to 2.2 that is supposed to be updated to my phone sometime soon? i tried restoring from an old backup and also tried to do a full system clean as well but still same thing. I am a newbie to this but i feel as though i have somewhat of a grasp on this.
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated
You guys sure keep the mods busy around here.

that suggestion didnt help
I feel your pain, most responses around here aren't helpful... just negative... you'd think that if someone took the time to reply they'd just share... typical forum behavior though.
I can’t seem to find a clear answer on this… some say it works, others say it’s broke.
*watching in hopes someone can help*
yeah i am just hoping i get the 2.2 update soon and it fixes it. so i am guess i am gonna have to wait until then and then take it from there. unless someone has some ground breaking suggestion. cause, i've been looking around and it seems like this is a problem thats been occurring as of recently.

I get it every time..
Seems like xda needs new servers
I got it trying to open this thread to say how much I am getting it.
I must be one of the luckly ones as i have never had this problem, i am sure their is a reason for this, and someone with the know, will have an answer and solution for you.
We're testing out new infrastructure and had to tune some of our limits. This error should be eliminated now. Let me know if anyone is still receiving an over limit error.
i am getting it a lot
i got it just a min back.
It's all for a good cause guys. Just bear with us, and hit the refresh button a few times eh? :good:
Got no probs today!

I'm not sure if this is the same error you guys are getting, but I keep getting this one (on both Firefox and Chrome) when I visit huge threads; in the screenshot, I was trying to visit the thread for Resurrection Remix for Samsung Galaxy S2. Is there any way to get around this?
I'm not currently seeing an internal server error on this page. Do you still see one?

wrong thread.
I get it almost everyday, it's no biggie.
I would like to know if I can have WiFi and Mobile Data on at the same time. I do not get MMS messages til I get off WiFi and also I can't get on my T-Mobile App to check minutes and data. It Keeps saying "Sorry, no data connection is available" I looked in my settings and said Mobile Data is disconnected.... Is this normal? Thanks In Advance.

127 people viewed this and not even a simple yes or no or even post a link to a thread thats relevant to my problem? Posted this on another forum this morning and got 7 people that don't know if you can but are still trying to help me figure it out. Thought the whole reason for these website were to share ideas, develop things for the community and help other out with their issues. It's not like I didn't search all over the Internet before coming as a last resort instead of thinking of it and just posting it here first. What a pathetic place to get help. Have a nice day doing whatever it is ya'll people do.

Hmm... to be fair sometimes a lack of response is more a lack of confidence in any particular response that might be given. At times repercussions get ...awkward... for saying things that others might find ill informed, and as such a tendency to not say anything unless rather certain on the answer develops.
Anyhoo - I hadn't noticed the fact that the mobile network state listed itself as disconnected when connected to wifi... but ultimately (opens self up to possibly saying something stupid...) I can think of no good reason certain functions of the phone (at least mms or the tmobile app) would depend on mobile data being connected while wifi disconnected. Doing a quick test on my end - both of these functions seem to be behaving as expected while on wifi (tested with wifi calling NOT on, not sure that would throw a wrench in anything but you never know) - does the issue exist across wifi sources? That sort of thing might be something to bring up to a TMo service rep - not sure they will be of any help but given the response you've had here it couldn't be much worse, right?

Thank you for your response. I finally called Tmobile and they told me that their apps will only work on mobile data and are not meant to work over wifi even though they say my mobile data will always be on it just goes into a low power state and that MMS has to be set to auto receive which somehow was not checked. Everything seems to work fine. Just one question for you. Did i read that you said you could get on your tmobile account app with WiFi on? Again thank you very much for answering me back. Just was have a bad morning because i get alot of MMS messages for work and it got to me... Also I'm one of those guys that no believe in a stupid answer. If someone's trying to help no matter what they say I'm just greatful for the help

I was able to, but perhaps it was just a trick of app cache as opposed to it actually working... strange they require data, you'd think if it was that much of a need they'd force it to engage and wake up the low power state instead of forcing you to turn off wifi. Ah well, learn something new everyday Sorry I wasn't more help
