Hi everybody,
I found that my Galaxy Nexus does not request the SIM's PIN after coming from the "Airplane Mode".
Is there a way to force the request? I need it for a double-msisdn SIM card to change between numbers.
Thanks in advance.
No answers?
Well, does anybody know an app for doing this? (or a way to do it using a rooted phone).
Thanks!

Hi. I am currently having an issue with my phone that it keeps going into car mode on its own. I have no idea why this is happening. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there a solution?

maybe you could try removing htc car home using adb then reinstalling it
Hi. Thanks for the suggestion. How do I do this?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Hmm maybe theres something wrong with your powerconnector. As i am aware the desire starts the carmode if it detects a certain powersource (i.e. the cardock) at one Pin of its powerconnector. So there might be a hardware issue as well (slight shortcircuit or something similar). Is it mainly happening while connected to your poweradaptor?
Er, I have the latest 2.2 ROM on my stock Desire and I don't have this car panel at all. Where are you getting it from? Are you running a custom rom?

Here you are
That's great, thanks.
So I take it that this isn't on general release and that the app has been ripped from a leaked ROM?

Hi guys, got a strange issue here. Whenever I dial a number the phone will ring a few times then the signal bars will jump from whatever they are on to nothing with an x and call will fail. However; the phone will still be ringing on the other persons end, and if I redial then it will jump into the call I tried to make previously. The same could happen again during the call. Strangely, this only seems to happen when I bring the phone up to my ear, if I use hands-free it only happens 1 time out of 10. Anyone have any ideas?
I'm using SuperNova Xtreme ROM, any more info needed?

Same peoblem here with stock... Heard it's a bug with proximity sensor. Does your phone drop the signal when you lock the screen?

Unfortunately, I have also read that there is no fix for that bad luck for us, I guess
Well, I've just done a quick Google and found that sometimes simply taking the back off the phone and hoovering everything out can help, as well as blowing/hoovering on the line between the earpiece and the screen. I'll try it out and post my findings.

Hey, I've managed to fix it, but only by flashing with an entirely new ROM/RUU. It's the only thing I could find to fix the issue.

Hi,
I am facing a typical problem that during every call if I swipe the middle white phone icon to the left to disconnect call, of does not work. I tried it multiple times. Can someone please suggest if I am doing it improperly.
Thanks for your time.

Um. If you're talking about the big red bar with the phone icon all you do is press it.

I just tried to make a call from another phone to my GNex to verify and my phone is coming as Switched off. Whereas my Gnex is ON and I am able to make phone calls from it to others, but unable to receive any.
Does anyone reported similar issues?
I don't understand your problem. Your first post says you are unable to decline incoming calls. The second post says you can't receive any calls. Which one is it?

I was just doing some tests to decline incoming calls and found the second issue. Below are the problems I am facing -
1. I am unable to decline / disconnect any incoming call. If I swipe the white middle call icon to left the phone vibrates but do not disconnect the call.
2. If phone screen is off for more than 1 hours (appx.) then I think phone goes into deep sleep mode. If I try calling my gnex from other mobile then a switched off message comes. This problem is fixed once I make a dummy call / send any message to other phone.
My phone is not rooted. I would appreciate the feedbacks.
Nvm, misread

NP.
I was just searching the forums but could not any similar thread on these problems. Am I doing something wrong or is it a phone H/W issue?
I've never heard of it before. If you're on stock rom the only thing to try could be a hard reset and if that doesn't help manually reflash factory images. If all fails, I'd return the phone.

Thanks again for your response.
I have few apps purchased, so will these be removed once I hard reset my phone? Is there any way to get them back without purchasing again.

Google play will remember the purchases. They are tied to your Google account. After you login with your Google account you can download them again without charge. Even on a different phone.

I did a hard reset of my gnex. The call disconnect bug got fixed automatically but not the other one (problem# 2). My phone is still coming as switched off at times.
Anything else I can do to fix it.

I'd try:
1) unlock bootloader (if you haven't done this already)
2) backup /sdcard
3) flash stock JB images: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images

Good luck, and I obviously got steps 1 and 2 mixed up: first backup /sdcard, because unlocking your bootloader will wipe it.
I am not sure if it is bug but here is what I observed in past 6 hours.
There is network issue with gnex (phone is coming switched off intermittently) when Mobile networks -> Data Enable flag is NOT checked.
But when data network link is enabled there is no issue with my phone and it works without issues or disconnects.
I have still not rooted / flashed the phone.

NP, I can understand.
I am seeking an answer for a friend. I know her device is bone stock. She says she has this on her screen unless she has an app open...any ideas? She claims factory resetting will not fix either...
It is a diagnostic screen. Seen someone else with that but dont remember what they did to fix it.
