Anyone know if there is a compiled list of ROM reviews? I am currently using CM7, but am thinking about switch to Sense. I have had some trouble finding a stable ROM. Anyone have a recommendation for a good one? I would like cutting edge features, but would rather stability and battery life over features.
Examples of issues I have had include Incredible HD having no MMS or SMS, smooth just not working, etc. The reason I want to go back is due to bluetooth issues in CM7 and battery life.
Thanks.

DINC2HD v4 with patch is VERY stable.

I highly recommend Skyraider Zeus. It has been rock solid for me so far, and I like the Sense 3.0 hybrid features combined with good GSM support.

Did you try it recently?? I'm running it right now, and its rock solid. He put a patch this morning or sometime last night, and I flashed it this morning. It's been pretty good since he released it, I've seen it go from a shot in the dark to something beautiful.
Plus JoelZ is working on something similar now. So be looking for that.

Tried 3.0.2 build from mikmik. Is there an updater for it? Or do you just redownload from forum?

Newt updated all the links I'm pretty sure. Download the v4 and the patch, flash ROM, setup and then flash the patch. Check md5sums before flashing. That always helps. If you have a bad download, it'll screw up.

Just curious, I've been using the CM7 ROM since the last update. I want to try a EI22 ROM but want to know if the bugs and other problems are worth it. this CM7 ROM I have been using had been the best ROM I ever installed, no issues, my wifi always works, GPS, no reboots. The only small issue I have is no charging when the phone is off.
Just want a few opinions from people who went from CM7 to EI22 roms.

Best ROM for me, hands down! I installed since 10/22 release, never had to reflash or a random reboot.
I've read a few comments about the new EI22 ROMs, but nothing to really motivate me to even try them out.

I'm happy with cleangb ei22, buy if you are so pumped about what you have now, why change?

CM7 all day every day!! Especially now that CM7 has been updated on 11/24 its flawless (well at least on my phone). It doesn't have 4g but who needs that anyways. Anytime I need fast dl speeds I'm always on wifi.

but how can i record a video on CM7, the recorder app automatically stop each time I press the record button. any ideas?
you cant record videos on cm7 yet. its an alpha staged rom. the ei22 builds right now are just as.good if not better as of right now. I get no fc's on cleangb. no reboots, no stability issues and also full features.

This was the most stable ROM ever for me and ever since I got an iPod touch, MIUI looks bad..I'm thinking of going back to Sense but I'm clueless. Any suggestions?

any of the sense 3.5 roms are great.
MIUI doesn't look bad.. Try a few themes there are some great ones.
I'm pretty certain that MIUI is the easiest rom for customization (using the theme app).
You can change pretty much every aspect so it can't just "look bad".
Ok that's the thing I've tried a bunch of different themes and I just don't like miui anymore. Probably the iPod made me sick of it. Now which sense roms we talking here? Can I get some links?

Try mikG. His roms are pretty stable. Go to themikmik.com or themes/ mikroms.

was never a big muiui fan because of the iphone feel it kinda had and sense roms are awesome for stability but just didnt like any of the roms that people came out with....up until tonight cm7 was my clear cut #1 choice but had an issue so id say evo deck or cyanogen paired with tiamat for the tier rom kernel experience...and with sense tho ive found some with crazy add ons
try some of these the guy has horrible reviews and spelling but the roms are sick to try
and they have a cyanogen ics rom

I had used sense Roms from MikRoms and they work great but now I've moved onto AOSP Roms like EvoDeck and I am much happier now since my battery last much longer

decks seems to run a little better for me than cm7... I get better battery, but they are nearly the same, as decks is based off CM
go with Joelz's sense 3.5 or tommy tomatoes 005. They are both fantastic. Tommy built launcher 2 in so you can use that and have the AOSP feel
Yeah, was looking for from something stable but good performance.

You flash old school CM7, Xplod, or legit ICS.
I am bored of cm7. I was on that for a long time. I want something snappy that can last a bit..

What about the Synergy ROM? Sense "3.0" with what I hear working 4G, GPS, WiFI.
Trying to make up my mind also, sinceIi really dont have a whole lot of time to "try before i buy".
I've tried synergy. Bad experience. Just super laggy but have not tried the 3.0 unless all synergy have 3.0.
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
what rom are you running? im somewhat of a noob and wanting to know what is common rom out there or best. right now im running Synergy by RC1. not bad at all i like it.
I'm running tommytomatoe classic v0.0.9 runs really smooth love it.
I am running the CM9 unofficial by JMZ and really loving it as it appears to be the most stable for my phone
Swiperrat miui 2.4.27 i was never into miui before but its running excellent on my evo.

I'm on lithium's MIUI. I have been running ICS since before christmas, and they've come a long way. Haven't had 4G [of course] so I decided to give it a shot. I put on apex launcher, cuz I personally wanted an app drawer, but besides that, the rom works nice, its stable; worth trying.
Though once gummyworms gets updated with HWA, I may very well return to that rom.
I'm running AOkProject MEK M5 on all my devices. Evo ET4G and Kindle Fire

Just wondering if you guys are sticking to GB and why. I've tried FF18 and it's okay. CM9 is amazing but I don't think its solid like EL29 (IMO). But overall CM9 is solid. No flaming but I want to hear what you guys think.

Sucking on Call's EL29 for the battery life and lack of bugs.
None of the ICS builds last me a whole work day. GB gives me a consistent 18 - 36 hours depending on usage.

Back to the one truly perfect rom (Calk's EL29) for me, too. I've tried ICS in many flavors (Calk's, mijj's, Phantom's) and they all have various issues. Be it poor battery life, MMS not working, audio bugs, Pandora not playing, GPS not locking, whatever, ICS sucks on the E4GT. The only ICS ROM that I've had any success with was CM9, but I use AllShare almost daily so that isn't a go for me.

I'm on Calkulins El 29 myself I'm staying here until ICS is worked out, and the phone will work itself out eventually, trust the devs since the source kernel has been put out, slowly but surely we will see battery life improvements among the many other things!
Haha thats a trip ...yeah el29 is a solid build ...to be honest i like ginger bread...running calks 3.0

Went to cm9 and probably won't return to a stock ish Rom any time soon. Have had great results with latest nightly and kernel from source combo.

I dont get how you all are having issues with ICS Ive used ROMs from Venum, and other members of Team Venum. Using Dazed's Wicked Sensation 1.5 now. Great battery life, plenty fast for me. I did change the Kernel and modem to FF02 though. seems to work best for my phone. Ive used Blend, Blu Kuban, Anakonda, Boa, ICE, AOKP, CM9, Frankenstein's ego. Never had an issue with any of them. Well... except for not flashing AOKP right a couple times. Got it figured out fairly quickly Even running Placebo tweaks and havent had issues at all. One thing or another may not work on one ROM or another. but always found a work around for them. Im just learning all this stuff though. Havent really gotten in to the meat an potatos of it all yet. But Im learning.
Anyways... long answer just to say I Love ICS. Cant wait to try Jellybean.
Back to Calk's 3.0

I love ics but the horrible speeds I encounter with my bandwidth brought me back to gb. I tried everything to get descent speeds and ended up losing the battle. Even resorted going back to stock ota and bringing the phone to Sprint so they could look at it. GB is the place to be for me and my bandwidth. I just wish the forum would branch sub cats for ics and GB users so I don't have to scroll for 20 mins looking for old GB roms

I can't flash calks 3.0 what modem should I be flashing? I'm in stock rooted el.29 what directions should I be doing? I tried today and soft bricked my phone and had to odin back to rooted .29

ICS reminds me of Windows ME! It was just not a finished product, and with Jelly bean in the very near future, it's shaping up to be just like it. Ics needs that shot in the arm that it lacked for smoothness and other things. All i can say is BUTTER! ! !
On Calk 3.0. Considering a switch to CM9.

I like stock experience (EL29) but since kernel source (ICS) dropped I gave it another chance to my favorite REAL ROM CyanogenMod9 7/21 from chris41g with his source kernel 2.5 so far excellent. (All the issues I had disappeared with the source kernel)
