Hi,
I'm running Doomv8 with zerojay's zerorom v0.4. I have flashed it several times and wiped it and all that but the problem still persists. None of the four buttons (back, home, menu, search) work anywhere in the phone. The Playstation buttons work though which is weird. Any solutions? Using a GSM Play
Thanks guys
You need to make sure setup wizard is in /system/app/

EDIT: sorry about the typos in the topic line.
After a reboot this morning I was greeted with the power menu outlined in the screen shot. The home button isn't working, I have no recent apps (probably related to home button), brightness resets after reboot and Cwm is gone. Tried both Nova and Sony launchers, same result. In fact the whole phone seems to be in a semi reset to default state. Maybe the small apps I flashed a couple of days ago somehow got botched up?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Update: Cwm does work but other issues persist. Reflashed small apps, no change. Also mx player cannot play videos, they just freeze up on whatever frame I forward to... Not sure if related.

Hey all got two g2 both rooted running jb. They have been sitting in my drawer since December, I pulled them out yesterday to play with them and now neither one has functional soft key buttons (home, back, menu, and search) anyone else come across this issue. Also keys did work before I put them away in December, and I have tried other roms no luck. Any help would be great

As a temporary solution until you get them fixed you could add this to your build.prop:
Code:
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
This will give you the onscreen soft keys to use (like on Nexus devices), but obviously loses you some screen space. If it doesn't work set it to =1 instead, I can't remember off the top of my head which way round it is.
It goes without saying but did you do a fresh install when you upgraded to JB?
Absolutely. And I know that there are ways around it just wondering why they broke at the same time same issue

I haven't rooted my HOX, it's running JB. On the home screen (central one) I can't open folders in first two rows from the bottom. I can rearrange folders, I can remove them, I can open single app in that screen area, but when I put folders there, they don't respond to the touch.
On other home screens (left and right) everything works fine.
So, it's not hardware (touch is fine on other home screens).
Do you know what might be the problem?

Perhaps a factory reset will help.
I think it will, but I was wandering if someone could help me without factory reset and reinstalling everything.

You could try clearing the data of the launcher, that should cure it.
Thc, guys.

It's as if it doesn't detect it's an Xperia Play since I still get the touchscreen overlay even when I slide out the gamepad but it still works somewhat, the problem is the O button is wonky as if it's mapped to two different buttons, the button mapping config sees O as BACK and X as D-Pad center (?)
And also on almost every game I still get the touchscreen overlay even if the gamepad still works. (It happened in Sonic 1)
I know there is the touchpad fix, but doesn't PACman come with it already? Any help?
Well that was weird. It's not doing it anymore. I just desperately messed
around in the emulator settings again.
I still don't get why a lot of the games keep the overlay when I slide out the gamepad. It didn't do that in GB.

I've come across a strange issue a couple times now. A few times I went to install an app (local apk file, not from the market) and I was unable to press the "Install" button. "Cancel" worked but the install button wouldn't press no matter what. I flipped the device to landscape just to make sure it wasn't a dead spot on my screen and I still couldn't tap the install button. It didn't even register a tap(no ripple). it took two reboots before it started working again. This has happened twice to me so far. When it happens, it's any apk too. I try others and get the same result. Has anyone else experienced that?
Wow, I also have that problem!
I have to restart to solve it.
I did think it was my fault or something I installed... Just in case, do you use CF.Lumen or app like that?
Yeah, I'm using lux. Maybe that could be it. Hmm because of the overlay.. I'll disable it and test.

Just want to report back that it was lux causing this. It just happened and I disabled lux (by pressing the power button on the notification) then it allowed me to press install.
