Hey everyone,
I haven't seen any topics in this forum discussing this.
Which Sense 3.0 ROM is the most stable/FAST? I have tried Aurora which was fast to start with, but then became slow? I can't seem to find a bug-free (more or less) Sense 3.0 ROM which is smooth and stable.
If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it!

I stand correct. This n00bs aren't stupid at all. On the contrary, they're very sneaky, trying to make us to look like idiots by forcing us to help them.
This proves only one thing: Never underestimate power of stupid people in large groups.

Not quite sure what you mean there...
Decided to go with sebastiaan15's RunnyMede Rom, thanks for all your input! (i think)
Runnemede / Aurora are go0d
Runnemede defo good
From my personal experience, it seems that sense 3.0 roms work better (by better i mean smoother) when using the stock Hboot. Dunno if that is just me...also i have major issues with the inability to make calls when i've used sense 3 roms. Again i think it might just be me...

Well said sir!!
HTC just confirmed upgrade for the Incredible S, your GSM brother.
https://www.facebook.com/notes/htc/update-on-android-ice-cream-sandwich-upgrades/10150762287733084
Just hopefully hold out a little bit more.
Dude this is great news. That means we'll probably get a good port soon.
Nice! On the edge of my seat.
this is kinda old news man, everyone knows HTC won't update ours but is updating a couple other phones with just the same capabilities

Except for it was only a rumor until now that the incS was gonna be getting it
Sent from my Mikrunny'd Superphone using magic
yeah i had posted the link in the ics discussion thread a few days ago
*only* thing that worries me is that we havent followed inc s update patch (they have official sense 3.0 we doesnt)
and while smarter folks then me might be able to do something with the kernel source, i certainly cant
but the camera files should fix all that stuff for aosp id imagine
I don't think we need to worry about getting it for our exact phone, but as long as we have for the incredible S. At least, our dev's will be able to get some of the hardware working completely.

for aosp yes.....sense maybe
either way we want an ota for us as that gives us 3.xx kernel source at some point
Right, we have a ICS discussion thread here...

Looking for a Rom recommendation for battery life and stability.
Prefer Sense 3.0 or Sense 2.1+ 3.0.
I have tried sense 3.5 and all are buggy.
I too would like to know this.

Well I've tried Alex's hybrid Rom and it is fast and one of the most stable, but when I answer a call and then phone is locked I can't hang up without unclocking the phone. I've googled and searched, but haven't come up with a fix for this, so if anyone knows.
Some of the sense 3 Roms are excellent.
AceSMOD007 3D is stable and everything works, but a bit laggy.
Cool 3D sense is also good and fast. I have a 720 video fix that I found that works.
At present I'm on AN-Droid GB/Sense. First class fast and stable.
I hope this helps.
Cheers
Is there a particular feature that you want from sense 3/3.5?
Unlock ring, calendar daily look from 3.0 also the smaller 4 x 1 clock widget from 3.5 if possible.

Each day we are getting closer. I feel it. Once we ascertain this, I think we need to get to the bottom of which kernel is best for battery life....

i think we could do this today if we sat down and all put our thoughts in we could work out the average answer and that would be the bestest ever version hands down nobody could argue with it, it would be the law!!
me i used until few days ago Sebastian's AIO ROM's now i use
[ROM][20.02.12][★★ SMS ★★ ] by ★ RSK TEAM ★ with AMAZE CAM [v.5.0][CM7R2][STOCK]
and i must admit that this ROM is very fast and stable. I really like it.
But it is very difficult to say which one is the best, depends very much about user too, preferences, colours, themes...
i think to find the answer it's better to make a pool with the most used ROM's and count the votes

Better yet, let's get all the Devs to stand at the top of a steep street (say Baldwin St, Dunedin NZ) and get them to all pee at once down the street. Whoever pees the furthest, will have their ROM nominated greatest of all time!

but this aint fair there's so many different factors wind, ground temperature, maybe a stone in ones wee path , what if i came late to the wee party cus i was drinking low alcohol lager and everyone's had dried up no proof i was the winner too many flaws
there must be a simpler way mmmmmmmmmmm
I've tried many different Sense ROMs and i think Baadnewz' Insertcoin 1.1.2 (2.1+3.0) is one of the best for everyday use. It's smooth and stable.

Current using Alex's ROM. So far stable and everything pretty much works. Sense 3.5 is nice just some thing don't work when linking with contacts and I find with 3.5 slows down and locks up occasionally. Mind you I only used AIO up to 6.5 and 6.0.4.1 is the only sense 3.5 I have tried.

It should be a relay. Once the pee reaches the end point (verified by an independent adjudicator), that dev can then commence their rollie-pollie descent

there by forming a few miles of stinking chlamydia stained pee on the road just to figure out the answer to the conundrum , i cant believe a solution has been found to decide the answer
rejoice brothers and sister buy a dev a drink we need pee
Thread delivers!
The winner isn't the first to roll down the hill. It's whoever has the least pee and bruises at the end. But if your pee gets there first, you set off first and theres less chance of.bumping into anyone else....

So, with the HTC One series just upon us, what do you reckon that we'll see Sense 4.0 roms floating about once the ASOP roms become stable?
It seems possible on paper- the One V has specs nearly identical to our creaking devices, or is there something I'm missing? Or is this completely pointless now that most of our 24 month contracts are nearly up and chefs will most likely jump ship to the One X/S?

Yeah, you're missing this and this.
First there was official GB RUU, then there was ICS, now there is Sense 4.0. I wonder what will be the next likely cause for plethora of pointless threads.
Well I searched for 'Desire' and 'Sense 4' to look for older threads, and nothing came up. Thanks for the links, but a shred of politeness would do you a world of good.

I agree mostly with my sentence in your signature.
Hey, since official thread was closed based on Shaky's request, I have opened new, unofficial one, so that there is no need to spam development threads where it does not belong to. There was starting some talk about Kernel 3.0, maybe some experienced ones can enlight this topic.
No offensive or dirty words, please.
To much smoke with no fire...
Not really sure that there will be something from it.
But let's wait and see.
Dafuq? Two threads plus development not enough?
all Shaky's threads are locked so not enough...
personaly i would say get the message... 3 threads locked. message recieved

LOL I clearly remember when Shaky appeared on the Desire forums before the device was bought, there was this guy from DHD forum who commented " Oh shaky you're now here! After shaking a lot and not baking anything in the DHD" .. hahaha.. I feel really sorry for all of you who kept saying"oh shaky plz do sense 4 for us and you're god and what not!" All rubbish..
What I find hard to understand that why would a dev never talk about what's working and what's not behind the scenes ??? Not even in dev forum? People stopped writing in dev as per his request.. what happened at the end ???
All bull****! I'm not saying that he can't do something, only he knows better, but the way people have been treated in his forums are disgusting.. it never happened in threads in the likes of leedroid or coolexe etc.. everyone was given a chance to express and be heard..
I feel these new so called dev are "noobs" than normal users the people are maintaining their threds

yes, I want them to talk about it, and omg, they were locked because Shaky wanted it, not moderators (except of some warnings in development thread). If it was because he did not want to read about it or any other reason, it does not matter, I just don't want this topic to die (when still some hope is alive, maybe).
Back to topic, in Droid Incredible forum I have read that PureMotive had some talk with Shaky and sbryan like 4 days ago and that guy sbryan is most probably looking into that audio issue... we will see
Conclusion : leave shaky alone, he's working hard for us and there is no need to make him under pression.
About this topic, mmmh ... too words, not enough acts ?
To me this thread looks like disrespect to shaky coz he closed two of them already clearly for a reason.
And now again will be the same everybody taking and nobody can actually provide even a simple logcat, you know how many tutorials with step by step explanations have been posted on xda lately for everything: porting ics, compiling kernel, compiling roms from source, kernel optimizations, modding, etc do why non of the talkatives take some time off their life and start working on porting sense 4 and/or kernel 3.0? Seriously this thread would be so much productive rather than waiting and pushing one person to the edge?m?
Does it make sense?
If I had time to waste for ungrateful users I'd work on this myself- however real life and work for now are more important to me.but I bet if any of you read the tutorials and got to know insides of android you could port it yourself. Even DK and Sandvold and Sebastian started like this by experimenting.

Good to see other people working on Sense 4.0 ....

When shaky was soliciting donations to buy his Desire you just had to check his history here at XDA to realize he is a prima donna that will probably let you down (if you chipped in for his phone). As the saying goes...he's all hat but no cattle. So I stayed well away.
Now, when laidbacknikez was doing the same (getting donations to buy a new Desire for developing) I did donate to him. He not only sent out a personal thank you note, he has delivered a fantastic ROM in spades...and I would bet he will give us Jellybean a well.

everyone should just LEAVE IT unless they are going to help out with something productive.
if you compared the Nexus One thread and the Desire thread for the same shaky dev thread and the nexus one had like 3 pages, while the desire had about 100 in a short space of time.
I know people are excited and stuff but try and keep it to yourselves unless you have a bugreport or something useful to contribute.
in the meantime enjoy Gingerbread or ICS AOSP on your desire.
