USA / Europe model confusion - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Does anyone else feel that Google/Samsung should have given different model names to the new Nexus to avoid confusion for Accessories, ROMs, Kernels etc?
I suggest:
a) "Galaxy FatBoy" - CDMA/LTE, Verizon bloatware, 16/32GB, 0.37in thick, 0.33 lbs, 1850mAh
b) "Galaxy Slim" - GSM/HSPA+, Google raw, 16GB , 0.35in thick, 0.30 lbs, 1750mAh
.... it really would avoid a lot of confusion .......

Uuuugh.
They have. The LTE is the i515 and the GSM is i9250.

But everyone refers to both models as the "Galaxy Nexus", rarely differentiating between the two variants.

Maybe because they are the Galaxy Nexus? Just sayin....

All cases designed for the Verizon version fit the GSM version "like a glove" (I have a Verizon case on my GSM GNEX and I agree).
Batteries, docks, chargers, screen protectors, etc, etc, are completely universal.
Accessories = non issue
Flashing ROMS, etc, = issue, but if you are into that you knew this already

Not all cases perfectly fit either. The tpu style cases are mostly fine but the hard plastic styles you may want to research further. The barely there case is a prime example.

Yeah, this is kind of incorrect. Check the other threads about cases in here. And batteries are definitely NOT compatible.
Maybe screen protectors are.

[Q] I9100 and T989 - How different are they?

So I just purchased the T-Mobile variant of the Samsung Galaxy S2. However there seems to be little to no cases available for it.
Does anyone know how physically different these versions are?
The case I'm looking at says it will fit the international and Canadian versions but not the Sprint version. (It doesn't say anything about the T-Mobile one).
The case is the Case Mate Galaxy S2 Pop! I'd post a link but can't just yet.
Any help/advice would be appreciated!
Thanks!

The case on the international version will not fit the T-Mobile version. Our phone is slightly larger, wider. Also the camera and led on our phone has an up and down design, the international and at&t version has a side by side design for the camera and led. You will have to get a T-Mobile specific case!

Dunno where you're looking but I have found almost all the cases that there were for the Sensation on ebay already.......
search eBay "t989 case"
Thanks guys!
I'm looking for a few specific brands I've used in the past.... specifically Case-Mate and Otterbox. However neither have a T-Mobile version yet that I can find.
size wise they are different the Tmo version is bigger / wider
some accessories wont fit

Will the Korean Galaxy Note's Battery work on the Global version?

I am about to buy an Galaxy Note from Australia which will be the Global GSM version.
I was wanting to buy a few accessories from Korea since it would be cheaper and I would have a bit more to choose from.
But since the hardware on the Korean version(LTE + Snapdragon) and the Global version(GSM + exynos) is a bit different, was wondering if something like a battery would still be the same so I can use it in my Global version.
Also, could someone please let me know if the dimensions are the same?
(for cases, screen protectors etc?)
Yes, the battery dimensions are the same. All the GNote's batteries are the same and all are 2500mAh. As for the dimensions, I am not exactly sure. I am guessing since Note LTE has the same specs as the Canadian and U.S Notes, it would be .35mm thicker than the N7000, so it would be a hair off, the case would work.

Coveroo case for International version

Hey guys, I just ordered a Coveroo case for my Galaxy nexus because it looks really nice on the website. Upon further inspection (after purchase of course ) i found that it says verizon only. So i have an unlocked gsm version, and was wondering if anybody has had any experience with this case. The more i think about it the more i doubt it fitting. So my main question is does this case fit an international version?
link?

If I buy a case designated for N7100, will it fit my att GN2?

Question in title.
I know the model number is SGH-I717 but is SGH-I717 the same as N7100?
I717? :what:
That's the note 1
If you mean I317, then yes N7100 cases will fit at&t note 2.

My apologizes I meant to say i317
All the versions of the note 2 are the same as far as hardware fit.
Yes, cases marketed for the N7100/N7105 will fit the SGH-I317 along with other GALAXY Note II models, as the hardware layout is identical. That being said, I'd recommend staying away from cheaper TPU cases or if you're buying in person, ask to try the case on first -- the reason I say this is because some cases aren't cut very well, I've seen a few where the cutouts for the camera and the charging port were too small for example.
Have a great day and enjoy your phone!

hardware differences

Is there any hardware difference between Note 4 variants?
I broke my screen and bent the housing. On ebay, there is a replacement part for Sprint Note 4 (N910P) and the seller says that it will not work for other variants.
Can anyone confirm this?
This won't fully answer your question, but I know for a fact that the Verizon version has the microphones in different places than the ATT and T-Mobile versions. I know because while buying a case, I kept seeing Verizon users rating the case's as 1 star because the case was covering the microphone. ATT and Tmobile users were giving high ratings and saying that the case fit perfectly and didn't cover the microphone.
So my point is that yes, there are some differences, but it depends on the varients. Some varients are the same in some areas, but different in others, while some varients are 100% same. I just don't know how the Sprint version compares to the ATT version though.
